  1. Bangkok immigration has them: https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/downloads_en/ Immigration offices in all provinces use the same forms.
  2. Online appointment booking for Chiang Mai Immigration - is it this link? https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/[email protected]/bookings/
  3. Thanks. I had just heard from a Burmese friend that this week, he was at Chiang Mai Immigration since 5:30 am and was stuck there for the whole day, just like during pre-pandemic times. But the queue for migrant workers from neighboring countries is different.
  4. Now that it's July 2022, what time should we arrive for visa renewals (marriage, education, or other 1-year visas requiring lots of paperwork)? The Thailand Pass is no longer required, so many people have been arriving in Thailand again. That probably also means more visa applicants at immigration too. Should we arrive around 5-6 am like in the mid-2010s, or would 8-9 am work just fine?
  5. How is the situation at Chiang Mai Immigration now that it's July and that Thailand has opened up? Should I arrive at 5 am, 7 am, or 9 am?
  6. Throw in som tam, turn the cow into larb, add chili and fish sauce, supplement the meal with sticky rice, and she will be impressed!
  7. When your non-immigration O visa (Thai spouse/family) aka marriage visa is under consideration for about 30 days after you submit all of your forms, can you still travel abroad and get a re-entry permit within those 30 days? I know that you would have to return in time to pick up your final stamp again.
  8. I already did some research online. https://letmegooglethat.com/ Heart and cardiovascular disease prevalence in the US and Europe, especially Central and Eastern Europe, are indeed higher than in Thailand. Causes are debatable.
  9. Thanks Ubon Joe. So as a long-time resident coming back to my own house in Thailand, what online form do I have to fill out within 24 hours of arriving in Thailand? I think it's the TM 30 form. Is it this link? https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/FilterNoLogonServlet?nodeId=24&programId=FNHOTELREG Or this link? https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/ Or do I have to physically visit an immigration office?
  10. I haven't traveled outside Thailand and didn't travel often before then. Say I just renewed a spousal visa, and after 1 month of its renewal I travel outside Thailand for a 2-week trip. I would have to fill out the online TM 47 form within 24 hours of my return to Thailand right? https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do?cmd=acceptTerm
  11. A Thai friend asked me, "Why do so many farangs get heart disease?" Good question. Why do Westerners (North Americans, Europeans, Australians) get heart disease more often than Thais? (Assuming this is true, but it really seems like it.) Rough estimate of Thai women married to older Western men - about 1/3 have husbands who have, or have had, some kind of heart, cardiovascular, or blood pressure type ailment. Thais eat a lot of fatty pork (moo sam chan, pork leg, other kinds of pork) and deep fried foods too, which are arguably just as nasty as bacon and fatty sausages. Leading causes of death for Thais seem to be traffic accidents, liver disease from alcoholism or hepatitis, and the like.
  12. What does that mean? Walking is the same as running. Why don't you run, it's better than walking. Why don't you walk, it's better than running. Your walking speed is like running. Sorry but I never really speak Thailish.
  13. Just trying to be poiite here. You know that the really old forum members here insist on being referred to as "middle-aged."
  14. Some of us walk faster than our significant others. Others might be slower due to injuries, being middle-aged, or just wanting to take it easy. And for others, it probably depends on the situation. Participate in the poll above and let's see what we get!
  15. Or Afghanistan or Yemen Thailand is actually not so bad.
  16. If Thais think that house spirits are supposed to originate from the spirits of the previous owners (I think the souls of the previous owners?), then wouldn't Texan house spirits prefer Whataburgers, Texan BBQ, and Tex-Mex treats instead of sticky rice? Why not place offerings of pecan pies and cornbread?
  17. I thought most men are supposed to prefer bigger hips? Hence the popularity of Kim Kardashian?
  18. And your observations about size in Hong Kong?
  19. You can always find some counterexamples. But on average? It's pretty obvious.
  20. It obviously correlates with average height.
  21. Have you seen skinny Thai brown humped cows as compared to the huge, fat Western cows that get fed corn and antibiotics? And does anyone else here think that Thais, on average, are really just as big or bigger than all the giant balloon-shaped orcs that we'd always see in Oz, UK, and Murrica?
  22. For authentic Hakka food, go to the Tulou Restaurant at Wualai.
  23. The Mandarin Place at Kad Farang. It's real Cantonese dim sum. The owner is Cantonese. Definitely not Thai-Chinese fusion.
  24. 1. Thai women don't care about sausage size at all unless they have been repeatedly exposed to the idea. It's just not that high up on their list of priorities. They're probably thinking, who cares how big the sink faucet or garden hose is? As long as it's strong. 2. Numerous studies have shown that sausage size very roughly correlates with height, not race or ethnic origin. It's like shoe size and height. Tall Asian guys will naturally have bigger sausages, like the occasional big, tall Thai men that you see with big, fat hands. But mostly like not the typical 165 cm tall Thai villagers.
