  1. if your intention on buying those coins are for collection and not investment then I have not tried importing them before but reckon you would be taxed or the dealer will not ship to you in the first place. Singapore is probably best place to buy those coins in the region. Maybe take a flight there to buy them? Or if anyone you know flies Emirates maybe pick up some for you at Dubai airport.

if your intention is for investment or for savings then there is no better place to buy gold than within thailand itself. there is such a small margin between buying and selling and secondly gold is so liquid here. Aurora which has shops in many malls is where I buy bar from. Need money back just sell back to them with a margin of 100 baht, its really a good deal. You can also order online from Ausiris which make quite a number of collective gold bars. I tell everyone why look elsewhere for gold when Thailand is the best place to  buy and sell it at.

  2. Chiang mai has developed same way many cities around the world has. population has increased globally demographics have changed. agree with many posters that you can just go a little out of the moat and still enjoy Chiang Mai how it used to be. the only let down is the open burning seasons which last many months out of a year. many outlets and restaurants have opened up along the ring roads and closer to where expats live. only people you would find along the old city are tourists. those who come out to drink feel safer to drink near to home due to the increased police checks on driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.  as far as difference in currency exchange is concerned, its a cycle isn't it? remember the days when USD 1 was 25 Baht for a very long time? things changed around tom yum gung 1997 when everything changed better for the western countries as far as ASEAN was concerned. 1997 and it went tops 56.1 THB to 1 USD. between the 1970s to 1981 it was 20THB to 1USD. then again buying power was a lot more in the older days. so each to their own on where an individual can afford to stay at. many retirees have left as retirement visa requirements have really put a huge burden on them.

  3. Hi everyone, I have a friend who is planning a staff trip to Bangkok and just looking for a place where they do dinner sets for small groups. Looking for Thai food that includes tom yum in the set can be halal place preferably or not is ok. If anyone can suggest something would be really appreciative.

  4. Fit Auto  by PTT at Don Jun is where i normally go to. Prices reasonable and they have buy 3 free 1 deals. Also PTT Blue card has a pretty good points collection scheme. just paid 9900 for 4 Continental CC6 205/60/15. Had to order though waited about 3 days. DeeStone was priced at 7500. Bought another 4 Michelin Primacy 3ST Tyres for my wife car. Year of tyres 2017 215/55/17 for 15,000 with free 800 Baht Amazon coffee Coupons. Tyres cheaper for previous years stocks. Also buy 3 free 1.

  5. dark tints as many others have pointed out is very dangerous. invest in a good film that cuts off UV even at 30% darkness should keep the vehicle cool during hot sunny days. i do not understand why dark tints which are black are so popular here. doesn't black tint absorb more heat? maybe i am ignorant. to the OP, I would go ahead and add extra lights and use only when in very dark roads keeping wary of oncoming vehicles. i installed HID lights on my old benz for a while and realised that it was blinding oncoming vehicles. Apparently the glass covering reflects light in all directions and not suitable to use with HID. Gone back to the old stock bulbs and all is good now.

  6. with all due respect, I think it would a better idea to see how you can make him better with perhaps some medical treatment rather than spending money on lawyers in the prospect of getting some money back. Look towards moving forward rather than anything else. like many have said here, I too share their sentiments that  you probably would get nothing back from a lawsuit.

  7. I have an LG TV 70in and been watching movies via usb. all good. however i just found out no audio for files that use DTS audio. I do have a Xiaomi android box which is splendid. maybe need to hook that up to the tv. unless someone here with LG smart tv has an App recommendation from LG store that I could use?

  8. LG is the best imo. bought 3 samsung tvs and all were bad. two plasmas cracked from the inside 55in and samsung says we dropped it. another led samsung we have has a red vertical line towards the right side of the screen. will never buy a samsung again. we have a 40in LG still being used LCD for the last 12 years. superb still. just bought another 70in LG and very happy with it. got a deal off power buy on Line app that sold it only for a day. What they call SHOCK SALE here.

Mad Dog no longer has brown HP sauce ????

for a good reason. HP Sauce is expensive and some customers pour half a bottle into a dish they order. his food prices i believe are pretty reasonable as it is.

  10. I fly AA a lot and hardly have delays from them. Straight to the point no frills airline, good food and service. My brother in law however travels using Bkk airways a lot and they have a lot of delays. a lot more upgrades you can purchase with AA including insurance for lost baggage and delayed flight.  Best budget airline no doubt.
