Sent money mid September. After 2 weeks, I found out it wasn't processed. On 7th October, an email reply said that refund will be made in 3-5 business days. It's been 12 business days and I was told today that they will facilitate the refund within this week. Now tell me, which delay has been resolved? Last transfer I made in July also took more than 12 working days. Very disappointed. And please don't tell me usual 'We will try our best'. I've heard that more than 15 times in the last 3 months. My money has been with Deemoney for over a month now. You are beginning to look like a fraud. Please prove me wrong. Yes, within this week.

The transfer delays that have been resolved was effective as of 4th of October. Transfers made in September were subject to delays. However, transfers made after 4th of October encounter no delay issues.

    Any update on your refund?

As of November, all refunds have been given.

Transfers now take an average of 3-5 days, a great percentage of which less than 2 days and we are constantly working on increasing this speed and adding more countries to the list - coming soon within this month.

  2. Most motorcycles are already Euro 4 as the mandatory compliance in the EU that went into effect in 2016.

2020 will also see the effect of Euro 5 being mandatory for motorcycles sold in Europe. And since a lot of motorcycles assembled in Thailand are exported to Europe, most motorcycles sold in Thailand will also be Euro 5 already, apart from Thailand/Asia exclusive models that aren't exported.

Ever since their US/UK/NZ went away in June I've checked their website about once a week to see which countries they can send to...see if the US/UK/NZ may have restarted...and Australia has always been listed.  Also checked just before writing this post.  Durn shame deemoney didn't remove Australia from their sending list since they were (are) also have problems sending to Oz.

The transfer delays were for every country except Cambodia since we use a different portal for Cambodian transfers. As of 4th of October the delays have been resolved. Right now, transfers to Australia and elsewhere would not take more than 3-5 business days.

We received a ton of negative reviews because of the transfer delays and refund delays for the month of August and September. Here's hoping that we soon get positive reviews.

Again, we are balancing on a fine line between trying to be transparent and not sharing information that cannot be shared. We want to tell our customers exactly why the delays happened and exactly why the refunds took so long to process. But until then, we will try our best.

    What is Dee money?

Gesendet von iPhone mit Thaivisa Connect

DeeMoney is a money transfer service specially developed for transferring money OUT of Thailand with 4 branches around Bangkok as well as a mobile application.

If you are in Bangkok, I recommend heading to the DeeMoney soi 8 branch where they can assist you in sending the money to your Cambodian friend. You will need to go the branch as it is a requirement in the sign-up process due to Bank of Thailand's regulations.

Thanks for the question. Yes, service to the UK and USA will be restored. However, as for the timeline we are not sure as it is out of our control.

We have used dee money for sending money to australia, in the past it was very good.

There customer service has always been quite good.

However our last transfer had to be cancelled by deemoney and funds are in the process of being refunded to our thai bank.

We were promised 3 to 5 business days, it is 5 days now and have not received funds.

This money is needed for my wifes daughters school funds.

As you can imagine she is getting  quite upset and threatening all types of retribution

I know a lot of expats who have used dee money in the past and a company is only as good as its reputation.

Hopefully this is only a glitch as we do like using their service.

We will update the forum again soon, hopefully with a positive outcome with deemoney.

Hi Tribalman, thank you for the feedback. During August and September we encountered technical difficulties which as of 4th of October has been resolved. Should you transfer at this moment, it would not take more than 5 days.

We agree that money transfers are serious matters and any form of delay is an important issue. This is why we dedicate our resources on minimizing delays and improving our services even further. Such improvements include fully online registration, but no promises on when it is coming.

  6. Hi all,

We apologize for the delays and the temporary suspension of service that has happened the past month. All services have resumed and transfers to the current 14 countries are operational as usual.

We are actively working on increasing the amount of countries available through our transfer services. We are unable to share additional information as it is confidential, but it is going in the right direction. Being transparent with our customers is one of the things we aim to achieve going forward.

Thank you for using our services. And PIB, the OP, thank you for answering questions on our behalf, we highly appreciate your efforts.

On your website it says you have a partnership with Superrich, can't you extend this partnership to allow them to be agents to register customers. I wouldn't travel to Bangkok but would register in the local Phuket Superrich if available.

Hi there!  We will be appointing agents country-wide by next year, 2019, with 500 locations planned.  DeeMoney will be coming to Phuket very soon!

They use their own exchange rate....just look at their "Selling Rate" on their web page.  The Selling Rate is what is used when you are using baht to buy another currency such as GBP, USD, EUR, etc., to transfer to another country.

The Buying Rate is used when they are buying your foreign currency and give you baht in exchange.

    K. Pib, thank you so much for your helpful responses!

If we may just add to this thread a little:

DeeMoney offers both Money Transfer and Money Exchange services.

For Money Transfer, we manage our own exchange rates - which are published every morning on our website.  Our rates are the lower than all banks - we make sure of that!  You can follow our facebook account @deemoneyTH to get access to the daily rates.

For Money Exchange, we are partnered with SuperRich so are definitely able to give the best rates for all money exchange transactions.  Likewise, you can follow our Facebook account @deemoneyTH to get see the most updated rates.

    Have a great day!

I looked at this before, I don't need now it but was just interested to see what they offered to transfer out as I use other online transfer services e.g. transferwise to transfer funds in. It looked to me like you need to go in person to a branch to do the registration, I tried the app and I didn't see any online registration. Is that right, anyone registered online?

    Hi there!

Due to regulatory mandates, DeeMoney is not yet offering online registration and do require all customers to come in for face-to-face registration.  We apologize for that inconvenience - but promise to make it a pleasant experience that will not take up much time!  Once you're registered, you have the convenience of using the DeeMoney app anywhere, anytime!

    Have a great day!

Hi there! DeeMoney is working to expand our direct global partnerships and Canada is one of the countries we are working on.  Alternatively, DeeMoney is in partnership with MoneyGram, which is available at all our branches, and through their network we can definitely support you in sending money to Canada.

Damn that's a money maker , 150baht per transfer + the exchanche rate . But anywho ,it makes things easier for a lot of people so smart move DeeMoney.

    Hi there!

Actually, this is a money-saver... Instead of paying anywhere from 500 to 1300 THB plus high exchange rates with the other remittance-service providers and banks, DeeMoney offers greater savings with a 150baht FLAT Fee for all transfer amounts up to 800,000 baht and lower exchange rates.  Definitely a better choice ????

And yes, we strive to ensure that our service is not only more affordable, but more convenient and easier - definitely a win-win for all!

    Wishing you a wonderful day!

Is Dee money accredited / authorized by the Bank of Thailand?

    Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry.  Yes, we are absolutely licensed and authorized by the Bank of Thailand.  Regarding fees - we charge a single flat fee of 150baht for transfers to 16 countries that include UK, US, AUS, NZ and more.  This fee includes both sender and receiver transfer fees, so there are no further surprise charges or deductions at any point.

    Have a great day!

Can this link be established from the DeeMoney app or does it need to be established only from the banking online apps?

Also, can we expect branches in other Thai cities, specifically Pattaya?

Also, Thai banks often restrict foreigners from sending out baht unless they have a work permit or can prove the funds were imported from abroad first. They usually cite official Thai government regulations.

Are you saying DeeMoney has no such restrictions for foreigners without work permits as far as sending baht out?

Is there an upper limit on what can be sent out on one transfer?'

    Hi there!

It surely feels good to have our service described as "too good to be true." (I'm hoping that's what you were referring to ???? ).

DeeMoney is licensed by the Bank of Thailand and we work closely with them to meet all regulatory requirements.  If there's anything we can do to allay your security concerns, we are happy to help!

Bit confused,  you say a transfer is possible direct to an account but on your web it says

The receiver can receive the funds immediately or within 2 working days, depending on the end destination. All they have to do is simply present the CASH OUT CODE along with their ID card to our international partners and pick up the funds!

Do you mean that cash out code and ID applies only to specific countries?

    Hi there,

Thank you for pointing that out to us - we will surely correct that on the web!

To clarify - some countries support only bank account transfers (such as UK, US, Singapore etc), while some other countries support only cash out payments, and some countries do both :).  Bank account credits can take up to 2 days, depending on the end destination, whereas cash pick ups are instant.  You can learn more about this here:  https://www.dee.money/transfer-fees/

You are correct - cash out codes with ID card only applies to the countries that support cash pick-ups.  For bank account transfers, the amounts are credited to the receiving bank account as is standard practice.

To learn more about how to link the DeeMoney app with your bank accounts, please check out this link and find explainer videos: https://www.dee.money/en/how-to/

As you can see, linking your bank account to the app requires some manual work at an ATM.  Using the QR Code payment channel is simpler and works with all mobile banking apps, or if you are a KBank customer - KBank is very easy as well!

Yes we plan to open DeeMoney nationwide including Pattaya in early 2019.  However, if you do come to Bangkok before then, we invite you to come in to any of our 4 branches and register.  Once you are a registered member, you can use the DeeMoney app anytime, anywhere!

We do not require work permits for you to send funds overseas using DeeMoney.  DeeMoney is a licensed NON-BANK money transfer and exchange under the Bank of Thailand regulations. You are allowed to transfer a maximum of 800,000 baht per day using our services. All you need is a valid passport to register.

How do you get money from Thai bank accounts into Dee Money to be later sent out of Thailand?

    Hi there!

    Great question!

If you're coming into any of our four branches, you can bring cash in.

If you're using the DeeMoney App, all payments happen in real-time.  You have 3 options for sending money through DeeMoney from your Thai bank account:

    1.  Link the DeeMoney app with your SCB, BBL or KBank accounts for a direct debit (link via ATM).

    2.  Generate a QR Code from the DeeMoney app and use your m-banking app to make the QR payment.

    3.  Use KPlus (KBank's mobile banking service) to make the payment.

I hope this makes sense!  For more information, please call 02-821-5555 or email [email protected]
