This also happened with cannabis shops, so just one doctor can be enough for a few blocks. Also, when we say "doctor" we are not talking about professionals of the medical science who demand very high payments for theirs services, they accept traditional Thai medicine doctors, who are a kind of herbalists, I believe they can also be very nice to the customer and issue the prescription without asking much. At the end anyone who wants to smoke will be able to, no doubts. Just do a little more homework.

No, this way of thinking does not take into consideration that there's no universal standard. In your home country cannabis has been decriminalized, it's considered a medicine, wonderful. But in country X, cannabis is still stigmatized, it's seen as a harmful drug that destroys the youth, not only that they created an expensive way of catching and arresting the possible violators to this. You country's standard is NOT universal!

I understand your point, the items that really matter to you had an increase much higher than the "official" inflation rate, that after all is just an average, I have noticed myself the incredible increase in USD of many items.

I don't feel safe in Manila, but in a Scuba diving trip, I was able to visit many different provinces in different islands. People can be very friendly in the provinces. Even on Luzon island, if you travel up north, places like Vigan, San Fernando La Union, it's a totaly different world from Manila.

He's playing to a home crowd for sure as anyone who is a little familiar with Khmer architecture knows that the disputed temples as Khmer (from the former Khmer empire) but if they belong to Cambodia, that's a different matter. When the border was drawn they didn't take the temples into consideration. Now neither side wants to give up the temples. Cambodia already has an incredible ammount of Khmer temples in Angkor Wat that they could easily donate, or give up these temples to their Thai neighbors.
