  1. Same here. I keep a reasonable THB balance in my Wise account, converted obviously from my GBP balance. When the rate is up a bit, I convert, or an automatic conversion can be set up to take effect if the GBP/THB reaches a pre-determined level. And come the end of the month make sure there is sufficient THB to transfer for Mr IO. The Wise card is very good, in that, if you do say a USD transaction and there is insufficient USD in your balance, they will automatically top up the USDs from your GBP account, at the current going rate, immediately, in order to fulfil the purchase. Cannot fault Wise at all.
  2. See it has started. Post a photo with a 'funny' caption. Get your reputation points up.
  3. What's this, a photo of the Mrs having a bath? 555
  4. You can see this sort of thing anywhere on You Tube or iPlayer. Soon the forum will be full of photos, just like this one.
  5. How long before we get posts saying 'Ooh this is my favourite of the 4 million photos'. Stop it now and only allow photos taken personally by the poster. Please! I admit that I have posted You Tube videos in answer to posts, but only where appropriate.
  6. Yes, but was he wearing it?
  7. I wonder what that was. And from which 'neighbouring country' did the victims originate.
  8. So he hit them on the nut with a spanner. 555
  9. And he is testing the bolts which hold the pole to the ground, which you can see is earthed, but that's as far as it goes, no where near the pole. I am sure the poor woman would not have touched that part.
  10. TBA usually means To Be Announced. So I took the meaning of the headline to mean that the safety is TBA. 555
  11. +1 Does it matter WHERE the money comes from..ETFs, house rent, selling my body, sister's immoral earnings, Grandads lottery win. If it comes into Thailand, tax could be liable on it. Unless of course, sister was a hooker in the 70s, and Grandad won on Littlewoods pools, so not the same year!
  12. W C Fields or Channing Pollock (whoever he was) Dead right.
  13. The quote was on BBC Radio 4s Quote Unquote yesterday, and it wasn't George Best....but I can't remember who it was. The quote “I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered” is often attributed to George Best, a former Northern Irish footballer who played as a winger for Manchester United and the Northern Ireland national team 123. However, there are other variations of this quote that have been attributed to different people. For example, a similar quote was attributed to Channing Pollock, an American playwright and drama critic, in a Reader’s Digest article from August 1936 4. It is also attributed to Elmore Leonard, an American novelist and screenwriter, in his book “Get Shorty” 5. Bit like,' Is Ringo the best drummer in the World? ' He isn't even the best drummer in The Beatles'..................not John Lennon.............Jasper Carrot
  14. That's what my last Financial Advisor said to me..so I left him as I did not understand what he was talking about.
  15. Yes, go on a SKI holiday......Spend the Kids Inheritance.
  16. So where do I invest at 76 years old? 555
  17. So now we do not need to compose a subject or answer by using Chat GPT, or take a photo to illustrate it now. Could be coming towards the end of my membership. Don't all clap at once! 555
  18. Why does a Financial Advisor do what he/she does, instead of using their own money? From past experience, none of them are worth the commission they get immediately from YOUR money.
  19. That was not a snide remark, it was a polite way of saying 'Turn your CAPS LOCK off' , and please try to spell correctly. Have a nice day.
  20. Even if you ignore someone, their responses still show. There are nasty people who would tell you to turn your CAPS LOCK off, but that wouldn't be me! 555
