  1. Hola, I am looking for a ground floor apartment around Pattaya, Thai style, but a bit improved compared to where we usually see Thai living. Do you know any ?

I do not need luxury but at least somewhere quite new and/or very clean.

It's mostly to stock things and to have secret dates ????

I need to be able to park the car just in front with direct accept to the room / apartment.

Can you help ? If you have seen somewhere looking nice and clean, please tell me. I searched everywhere and they are mostly old places and hard to find on Internet as Thai mostly drive around to find them (what I did, but without finding any correct place). Thank you.

Unless there are major changes I doubt it very much. Although it's possible ppl will just start growing themselves, this is already happening in some districts. With Thailand moving so slow while other countries develop their industries, the only opportunities may be for domestic consumption.

Similar to opium, medical marijuana can be grown in fields, which is where the industry is heading.

I guess that you are one of the champions who also didn't see medical weed coming in Thailand ?

Even if nobody is able to understand why and even if I am not allowed to post here the reason why it will become legal, trust me, it will, someone just need to be able to think to know...

On a related topic. SInce marijuana has been delisted as a narcotic, I have read at least one article that says Thailand is now allowing the sale of "Happy Pizza", as they do in Cambodia. I refuse to believe this. Does anyone have knowledge of such an enterprise in Thailand?? It would not appear possible if I am reading the law correctly.

Not official of course, but you can find it around Pattaya...

not only useless leaves, but flowers also...

Find a paint/body shop that does repairs for insurers ( They will have proper finishing rooms, rather than spraying it in a shop front). I think the going rate for good quality paint is about Thb 2,000/panel. So assuming a good condition of bodywork and size of car I would expect anywhere between Thb 30 to 35 k.

this is the price at the cheapest shop, not a price for good quality !

A complete repaint, or is it respray, is a hell of a job.

Long time ago in a country far away I helped a friend with such a job. He was a professional car mechanic. We stripped everything out of his car including interior, windows, lights, and and and. And then a professional painted it in a professional place (good lighting all around).

It can be done but it is a lot of work and because it includes removing windows etc. the mechanics should know that car model in detail.

yes it's respray ? I of course do not want that anybody remove everything from the car before painting !

"Factory paint " is paint from reputable companies such as ICI, Sikkens, PPG, Glasurit... This exact paint is also available to professional body shops.

However, please note that many cheaper paint shops will use cheaper paint brands that will not stand the test of time.

Do not assume that dealers will produce better jobs especially in Thailand.

Thank you, one of the few smart and useful replies here.

So we should check the paint brand used by the shop ?

Maybe also check the prep and step by check painting ?

and you are clearly right to say that dealers are not better !!!

Quite a lot of people on this Forum drive German cars, so you’re not alone!

If you compare the paint work on E Class to that on an S Class you would see quite some difference.

From my observation, Toyota paint work has less orange peel than that on a Ford.

By the way, are you interested in re-sprays because you have crashed your German car 555

    spec savers comes to mind

Thank you, I plan to respray because when you drive fast on Thai $hit roads, car has many small spots to repaint, but I anyway prefer to paint it all than just fix if price is correct. How much would you pay for a total repaint with the same color ? (white)

Yeah, that one (checkpoint) doesn't make sense. You can easily avoid it and it is only on the Inbound (to Pattaya) lane. At first it sounded like they were going to go full "lock down" mode like they did last year when they tried to "lock down" the center of Pattaya.
The only reason I can think of for that checkpoint is that they want to claim a hunk of that extra "covid funding" and need to look like they are doing something to justify the funding.

I drove twice from BKK to PATTAYA since the ckeckpoints and haven't been stopped once !
