Always fly Emirates or Qatar, the latter is the better of the two imo. If you're having a stopover the Qatar airport is waaaay better than the UAE one too. Booze is no issue, it's still available on the planes and in the airports. I did have a run in with an entitled arab lad that demanded I change seats. (We both moved to an empty row, he wanted to stretch out on the whole row, I just didn't want to sit between 2 fat people) That was easily sorted though, after he had his frankly pathetic tantrum I told him I'd look for another seat when we were at cruising altitude. Found one, no issues.

Don't go to terminal 21, there's one shop with a very limited selection. Go to Fortune Town, there's over a hundred computer shops with loads of choice and better prices.

I did my Non-B extension yesterday at Chaengwattana. No mention of the TM30 at all.

Random thought as I saw some poppy seed bread rolls today.

Since people can be urine tested for drugs seemingly at random and given that poppy seeds can cause a positive drug test. You could be imprisoned for eating anything laced with these seeds, right?

I sincerely doubt a reasonable explanation would suffice in this situation, would it?

From my understanding, you're not technically allowed to do any kind of work whatsoever on a tourist visa. Plenty of people do it and it's not an issue unless they broadcast it at the wrong time and place. 'He's on holiday visiting you as you're working here and he's currently unemployed' is all they need to know if asked.

Huh, I was speaking to a Norwegian living in Hua Hin in an online game a little over a week ago.
