I've been working on a WP and paying tax for well over 3 years but I'm not considering PR because from what I've read about it, it seems to be a long arduous process that will likely end in failure. Would anyone care to correct me?

How long does 90 day reporting usually take? I've been 'Pending' for 24 hours now and not sure whether or not I should be concerned. This is my second time using it, the first time it took around 2 or 3 hours.
Was just approved, happy days. Took about 30 hours.

It depends upon the office it is sent to for approval. Some offices do it within hours and others take several days to do it.
You also have to remember that the approval is only done when the office is open.
Thanks @ubonjoe, FYI it's Chaengwattana (I assume) as I'm in Bangkok. I'll report back if/when I'm accepted.

I have a spare parking space you could use if you want to PM me.

Did the OP disclose its gender in its profile or elsewhere?
Look under "her" avatar, Admin.

I'm no expert but since nobody else has suggested it I'll put it out there. OP why not get an ED visa and study Thai at a private language school? Then you've got a year before you have to do another border run and only have to report to immigration.

I am simply seeking to find out what it is that the vast majority of younger Thais are so proud about being born here.
Well, why do you choose to live here?
I choose to live in Bangkok because it's a fantastic city, loads of great things to do and see, great public transportation better than any I've seen in Western countries (Especially the US, ewww) delicious food, nice people, affordable accommodation.. and so on.. There's some things to be proud of.
I guarantee if they offered OP citizenship he'd be saluting the flag and singing the national anthem for the privilege in a heartbeat.

My country has contributed several world altering technologies, but here I am in Thailand. Really makes you think.. It's almost as if it has no bearing on anything at all. At least Thais can say their country looks after their own, wish I could.

Did mine a few months ago in the airport and they took a picture with a webcam and asked me to fill in a form.

I'm currently looking into getting a Pink ID card as I need government issued ID to open an overseas trading account. The yellow book being a prerequisite and me currently renting, I'm not sure how far I'll get.

"Title" hmm yes, well I go by "Mr." ????

It'd likely be seen as a group of troublesome farangs that can easily be dealt with. Things will have to change politically before this would be a good idea imo.

Embrace it, don't let it become another N-word. There's nothing wrong with being a farang.

Same company.
Ah right, cheers mate.

All 7-11 here on Samui would have Burmese staff as they speak better English.
Good point, well made.

Only change is that you can work at multiple places compaired to before only one location.
I don't mean to hijack the thread but I'm a little confused about this. I have a WP so if I wanted to work "anywhere" else (provided it's not in the restricted list of professions) I could do that? So I could technically work at 7-11?
Or does this mean multiple branches of the same company?

My only ever interaction with the police in my 6 years was being randomly searched once. I wasn't particularly happy about it but I can't say I was abused or extorted.

I bought a "Mr. Robot" one from Lazada for about 6,000~ and I'm very happy with it. It is very noisy but that doesn't matter as I set it to run automatically everyday while I'm at work. My floors are always clean. The only downside which I'm sure I'm not the first to mention is wires, they can no longer be on the floor, or anything else that might be laying on the floor. I've come home a couple of times to discover it hasn't made it's way home and is in the middle of the room chewing a half eaten pair of underwear.
In detention room in Suvarnabhumi. Don't know what's happening
