  1. Potatoes do not like the tropical conditions that we have in Thailand. However you could still grow them in the period December to February when temperatures are at its lowest, but even then you will see that they are very susceptible diseases, mainly fungus. The potatoes that you can buy at the supermarkets are not really suitable for using as seed but they will grow. Their yield potential is just lower because of virus infections (not harmful for humans though). Planting them at the end of April is a waste of your time.
  2. After you get your PR you need to get registered in a blue house book. If this blue book can be a hotel.. I don´t think that would work. Kind of strange to be able to get PR status by living in a hotel in the first place.
  3. To my knowledge you need to have your name in a house book of somebody who actually owns a residence.
  4. If you have the "full set", meaning box and paperwork and if they were purchased in Thailand (VAT) then I think that there are reliable shops in Bangkok that might buy them. Don´t expect to make a profit on them though.
  5. Thanks for the good times Nick, RIP.
  6. ..valid for one year only?
  7. Sevens corner bar has been closed for probably more then 10 years already. I remember the days that Sven, a danisch expat, ran the place. He was basically a good guy and good fun to drink with. Too bad he left us.
  8. Agri Expo Thailand 2024, 12-13 September 2024 at Khon Kaen International convention & exhibition center.
  9. Agritechnica Asia & Horti Asia 2024 from May 22 to May 24 at BITEC Bangkok.
  10. I am looking for a PTO driven wood chipper for our NH 5610 (70 horse power). Does anybody know suppliers for this type of equipment?
  11. The tractor that we have is a New Holland 5610 built in September 1997. It is very similar and in a lot of parts identical to the Ford 5610 and to the 6610. I agree with you that it is not difficult to find someone who claim that they can do the job. Unfortunately I have been disapointed more then once on these kind of repair jobs, both with tractors and cars. I have decided that I will do most of it myself.
  12. I have a Ford Series 10 Tractor repair manual Vol. 1 and 2 in english. What I don´t have is time, since my question.
  13. We have a New Holland 5610 tractor that needs some work. Since I have been working overseas for the last 15 years nobody has been really looking after it (apart from using it). The work that needs to be done is mainly overdue maintanace, new tyres, new seat and so on. Can someone recommend a Ford - New Holland Dealer or a serious repair shop near Khon Kaen - Kalasin - Mahasarakham?
