Well I don't know for domestic tourism but I know I'll contribute to the international tourism when I come visit the in-laws after moving out of Thailand.
-
I visited the crocodile farm two years ago and a chimp in clothes would be the least of their animal abuses.
- The bears looked extremely bored, several of them were in a small concrete enclosure.
- There were no tiger in the tiger cages, the only one was chained at the park entrance. It didn't look healthy.
- Bearcats are kept in a 2 meter wide round cage
- Farm animals are also kept in tiny enclosures with concrete flooring
I wouldn't recommend going there, sad place for someone who's seen a good zoo before.

News of Airbus discussing it with THAI came out in the first half of 2019
THAI was looking for a private sector investor in December 2019
The deadline was March 6 2020.
March 7, Airbus doesn't show interest in the project: https://www.nationthailand.com/news/30383566
April 22, THAI says it's because of the virus
The timeline doesn't really match with the pandemic, plane were still flying almost everywhere when this deadline was reached.

After topping up via mobile apps or ATM, users need to use their passes to adjust the value at any train station AVM (activate value machine) in seven days. If the value is not adjusted within a week, the top up will be cancelled and the money automatically transferred back to the user’s account.
They can't stop themselves from turning good ideas into an inconvenient process.

In my country it's almost common sense that you should avoid NSAIDs if it has not been prescribed to you. This "fake news" is actually a healthy habit to have so you don't make the situation worse when it matters, dismissing it like that is more dangerous than letting it run. A secondary bacterial infection in a person who has COVID-19 could surely turn bad if the patient keep shutting down its inflammatory response with NSAIDs.

I'm curious to see what applies to holder of other visas (B, ED, O, ...) who were supposed to leave the kingdom for real or those who maintain a visa with border runs.

Is it free to get tested yet ? What qualifies someone to get a free test ? How many test are being done each day ?
The reported number of test that was done each day before they stopped including it and removed it from all previous report 2 days ago was somewhere between 300 and 500 tests per day. The last backlog they reported was over 7000 tests awaiting lab results.If they are not trying to hide the fact that they don't test enough why have they replaced the old report with ones that don't show the tests numbers ?Without test number ( Creation Date: 4/2/2020, 6:06:53 PM) : https://ddc.moph.go.th/viralpneumonia/file/situation/situation-no86-290363_4.pdfWith test number ( Creation date: 3/30/2020, 4:46:31 PM): https://ddc.moph.go.th/viralpneumonia/file/situation/situation-no86-290363_3.pdfI digged a little into the old report and found one that's not linked on the MOPH page : https://ddc.moph.go.th/viralpneumonia/file/situation/situation-no89-010463.pdf
In this report the backlog is only ~2000 (5000 less than a day before)... I still have my doubt though, somehow they tested 10 times more than on previous days but didn't find more cases
Don't get me wrong, I believe that the situation will get better soon, people are working from home, wearing masks, not eating at restaurants... It can only get better. But now is too early for it to start being visible in the number of reported cases. People that self quarantine at home are extremely likely to infect others in their household and each next generation of infection can take more than a week to develop symptoms. I believe the current curve would be more realistic two weeks from now.

The figures are meaningless, unless you know how many tests were carried out
Considering they removed the break down of test numbers (positive/negative/pending) in yesterday's report I don't think we'll get much on that side.

It's no surprise since it's not mandatory and we all know that many people running companies in Thailand value money much more than they value their employees.
Also if Thailand could bring the 8,000 pending tests to one of their super lab with a 10,000 daily processing capacity we would maybe get numbers scary enough to be taken more seriously.

I don't usually post about my 90 days report but I decided to do so because the process was a little different today. I work for a BOI approved company so I can do my paperwork at the One Stop Center for Visa and Work Permit at Chamchuri Square. Reporting online and in the application never worked for me, I never tried by post but I might next time if it's not back to normal.
Usually i'm done within 20~30 minutes with my passport and tm47 receipt in hand but today it took way more time than expected. Here's how it went:
- At the entrance of the usual room there is a manual alcohol dispenser that you're instructed to use by the staff before entering.
- I was not able to procure a form beforehand so I brought my own pen to fill one, empty tm47 forms are available at the right of the entrance in a tray marked "90 วัน" at the front of the queue next to the officer.
- With the form completed and my passport in hand I queued to get a queue number. An officer is enforcing the distance between queuing people. The queue was short and I reached the officer in about 3 minutes.
- The officer took my form and my passport, checked the content and handed me queue number. She then told me to write my phone number on a small paper and come back at the time printed on my queue number (2:30pm). This is the main difference, plan two trips to Chamchuri Square on the same day or plan to stay around for 3 hours because it's not the 20 minutes process you previously experienced.
- I came back at about 2:20pm and I was directed to the BOI side of the elevator (not the visa center) to collect my passport. Again, instructed to spray alcohol on my hands before entering. My passport was already there along with another hundred or so passports. An officer took my queue number and handed it back to me with the tm47 receipt.
The place was not more crowded than usual but people were everywhere because they tried to distance themselves from eachother.

I was at my local Makro Food Service yesterday and everybody was wearing a mask, there was someone checking the temperature and two bottles of hand sanitizer at the entrance. The store was not crowded and the shelves were full. I am happy with their decision and I wish whoever disagrees a good time at the shop that will accept their gigantic wallet and unmasked face.
To all those that brainwashed themselves into believing that a facemask is the most useless and ridiculous thing, I am happy that they don't let your asymptomatic infected self spit on my potential groceries.

Group 1 : No symptom + No risk
Group 2 : Risk only
Group 3 : Risk + Symptoms
What about symptoms only ? At 1000 confirmed cases they should acknowledge that the virus is widespread and every place is a risky place.

According to the official situation report the backlog is growing very fast. Between March 26 and March 27 where they announced 91 new confirmed cases this is how it changed:
Positive 1046 -> 1136 (+90)
Negative 8406 -> 8618 (+212)
Awaiting results 5841 -> 6719 (+878)

I am posively surprised, it's a sensible announcement. It's refreshing to see a decision that doesn't appear to be motivated by greed.

outside the T One building near Bangkok’s Thonglor BTS station in the morning handing out one-litre samples of electrolyte water to concerned citizens.
Oh so that's what they've been doing for at least three days now, I was wondering what kind of event it could be considering the current situation.

I've tried a couple times over the years and online never worked for me. I tried firefox, chrome, internet explorer, the android application but I always get the same message "For further information regarding The 90-day...."
I always end up having to do it in person, fortunately I work for a BOI company so I can do my paperwork at the One Stop Center for Visa and Work Permit where there's almost no queue and stranded tourists can't go.

Everytime I see this waiting area I get angry, that's the only airport I've been to where you have to wait your family/friends/etc from a spot where they can't easily see you. But of course this "limousine" service is in the prime spot for being seen.

Since it's a BOI company they might be looking for someone to hire as a foreign expert and it requires proof of experience and/or education. I don't know what the law says about that but you won't get approved for a foreign expert position if you can't provide proof of your qualification.

This app is not a good source of information, places that appeared with "FAKE NEWS" markers later became "confirmed" or "sanitized".

Just fill in your address and phone number down here and give us the same for your relatives, no worry it's just self screening

Seems a few of you posting here believe the Thai government is 1) capable of capturing the correct numbers and 2) willing to report them truthfully
They were able to capture some number in the beginning so I assume the problem is with the reporting part

Hardly newsworthy, every people I know visits overseas relative/friends without declaring whatever cheese or sausage they're bringing over. If the smelly stuff is sealed correctly it's unlikely that the dogs find it (if they actually use dogs). This guy was probably red-flagged, being a known offender I wouldn't be surprised if his bag get automatically marked for inspection.
Phuket’s ‘safe and sealed’ plan does nothing for the majority of the island’s hospitality sector

If tourists can roam free outside of their room, even within a 1km 'restricted' area there's no way they can prevent the virus to find its way out and spread through the country again.
Also why would the minimum stay be 30 days if movement is only restricted for 21 days ?
