  1. I looked at Iglu a little more than a year ago when they were still offering what you seem to be looking for. Their current model doesn't look very different from the previous one but the fact that they felt the need to not be as straightforward about it could mean that they got a warning or some difficulties with their previous approach. Assuming it's not just a strategy change, this problem could also concern "shelter" that others mentioned in this thread.

  2. No later than yesterday my gf (thai) had the cashier at a coffee shop (tong hua in BTS thonglor) try to pull a "you gave 500, right ?" on her. They know what they're doing, my gf said that the cashier tried to engage in small talk and was unusually talkative.

Why do they do that ? because if they successfully pull that off even one time a day they more than double their salary. When they get caught they just say "oh sorry, mistake" and wait for the next one. 10k is too obvious though.

  3. They set the price people can pay, nothing to do with the actual cost.

I went there and was disappointed:

    - You can't enter with a drink but they sell 200baht water up there

    - You're dropped in a literal maze of luxury shops when you try to exit

    - Their green-screened photo-shoot is crap and super expensive.

PS: I visited the Grand Canyon's Skywalk, the ticket is packaged with other stuff and more expensive but it's a much better tourist attraction.

CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice with 74g, Moma’s Bubble Tea Bar with 68g and Formosa with 65g

That's a crazy amount of sugar to have in a single serving, especially since bubble tea can be downed very quickly.

BUT this is not very far from what you get in your average 500ml soda bottle.

some 76 per cent of Thai consumers believe they will be wearing augmented reality (AR) glasses instead of using mobile phones by 2025.

He added that 88 per cent of the respondents believe they will be making 3D holographic calls on a weekly basis, while 13 per cent believe hologram video calls will replace normal video calls.

It just shows that the respondents have no clue what they're talking about. I also suspect the questions were extremely oriented because no reasonable crowd would come up with the such responses to "What will phones look like in 2025 ?"
