Or perhaps it's because they don't like compulsive liars, grifters, people who steal from charities and set up fake "universities", is definitely a misogynist and who bankrupted over 10 companies, thereby financially impacting the everyday working American – – ever thought about that?

I'm not an American and I'm not a far left or a far right type person and I do like what the Democrats have done, not so much the Republicans, however it is so easy to dislike Trump and what he is, because he stands for everything I and many other people, don't like one iota.

If trump is the best alternative to an ailing Biden, that America can produce, then God save America.

Thank God we not all Americans. 😄

A Thai prisoner urged the Lawyers Council of Thailand Under the Royal Patronage to help him seek justice after two fellow inmates tricked him into taking a sleeping pill and raped him. The incident led the victim to repeatedly attempt suicide.

The story gained public interest after a Thai lawyer, Nitithorn Kaewto, shared it on Facebook yesterday, July 10. According to the lawyer, the sexual assault occurred on January 7 at Bang Kwang Central Prison in Nonthaburi province near Bangkok.

The two alleged rapists added a sleeping pill to a coffee and tricked the victim into drinking it. They then sexually assaulted him at night, as the three were imprisoned in the same cell, separate from the rest of the prisoners.

The rape was reported to a prison guard, who filed a complaint with Mueang Nonthaburi Police Station on behalf of the imprisoned victim. However, the case went nowhere.

The victim tried to end his life multiple times because other inmates later learned of the sexual assault and bullied him. Fortunately, prison guards intervened in time to prevent his suicide attempts.

The victim decided to seek help from the Lawyers Council by submitting a document to them in April. After consideration by the council president and the human rights sub-committee, a team of lawyers was formed to help the victim.

The legal team recently met with officers from Mueang Nonthaburi Police Station to follow up on the case. The police claimed that a lack of officers caused the delay. However, the prison guards had already punished the alleged rapists after the incident.

The legal team planned to contact relevant authorities to rehabilitate the victim and implement measures to prevent bullying in the prison.

The lawyer pointed out a suspicious element in the case, questioning how the alleged rapists obtained the sleeping pill and whether it was indeed a sleeping pill or another drug.

It hard to buy sleeping pills here. Hospitals may prescribe. Pharmacies only offer useless herbal stuff.

Weed helps but not clear headed next morning.

    Where did they get pills.

Maybe Bangkok is easier, if I wrong and anyone knows where to buy in Chiang Mai I would be pleased to know.

I will take the chances of the wife raping me 😂

In an audacious and unexpected turn of events, a Swiss barber named Oliver E. was apprehended by Thai authorities on Koh Phangan Island. He had been operating a barbershop and taking jobs from locals while openly challenging the police to "catch me if you can."

Leading up to the arrest, Police Lieutenant General Saksasira Puekarm, commander of the Tourist Police, instructed Police Lieutenant Colonel Winich Boonchit, commander of Tourist Police Division 5, Subdivision 2, Division 3, alongside Koh Phangan tourist police and local administrative officers, to detain the 51-year-old Swiss national. The action took place at Oliver Twist Hair, situated in Baan Tai, Koh Phangan, Surat Thani.

Authorities had received numerous reports about a foreigner illegally performing barber services on the island. Investigations revealed a Facebook page under the name "Oliver Twist Hair," where Oliver promoted his haircuts and facilitated bookings via WhatsApp.

Speaking candidly, Oliver acknowledged his role, stating that while he had permission to work as the managing director for Oliver Twist Art Co., Ltd., his activities as a barber at Oliver Twist Fashion extended beyond the authorised scope.

The barbershop, in operation for nine years, charged between 500 and 4,000 baht for haircuts, depending on the style.

Upon detention, Thai officials informed Oliver of his charges, noting that he was "a foreigner working outside the scope allowed (barber)." He was then escorted to Koh Phangan Police Station for further legal proceedings.

This incident sheds light on the stringent regulations surrounding employment for foreigners in Thailand, aiming to protect local job markets.

As the situation unfolds, it poses questions about the challenges expatriates face in navigating local laws and the consequences of flouting them.

A senior police officer in Phatthalung has been suspended amid allegations of extorting 30,000 baht from the mother of a 16 year old boy charged with attempted murder. The officer has been placed on leave pending an investigation.

The controversy erupted after the mother lodged a formal complaint, claiming the officer repeatedly contacted her demanding money to ostensibly overlook her son’s involvement in the crime. The 16-year-old, along with others, had been arrested for a shooting incident that resulted in injuries. Following their arrest, they were charged and released on bail by the juvenile court.

According to the mother's account, the officer persistently harassed her, even showing up at her workplace. Buckling under pressure, she managed to borrow 15,000 baht, which she then handed over to the officer.

As media attention intensified, the officer returned the 15,000 baht to the mother at her workplace, placing the money on her desk and urging her to come to the station to provide a statement. He reportedly told her to take the money back and appear at the station when convenient.

The officer, identified as Wicha, appeared unsettled by the media spotlight, quickly reimbursing the mother after she went public with her accusations. Asked to explain himself, Wicha refused to comment, indicating he needed time to prepare a formal report.

Chief of Phatthalung Police Station, Jumpot Liamkaew, summoned Wicha for an initial report but stated that the officer had not yet provided any substantial explanation. Wicha requested additional time to gather his thoughts and compile a comprehensive account of the events.

Chief Jumpot confirmed that the internal investigation would proceed transparently, aiming to uphold accountability within the force. Meanwhile, Wicha remains suspended as the inquiry unfolds, with the department keen to resolve the matter swiftly and fairly.

You are supposed to do a TM 30 when you change address.

Go and stay in a hotel and the hotel does a TM 30 for you.

Go and stay in an AirBnb and the AirBnb 'owner' should do a TM 30 for you.

You are now registered at the hotel or AirBnb address.

Return home and you should do a TM 30 report again.

Many folk say that you do not need to do the home one again but......

...........many folk are finding that some immigration offices say that you do.

Happened to me we stayed a night in town . I done TM30 on line even though 4 months ago. Opened a account for wife and processed. Next day done the 90 day report again and was approved. No fines. 😊

From experience, for E85 users, good luck finding that at PTT, as we used with our last ICEV, until prices started equalizing with 91, and no advantage.

E85 was very hard to find at PTT, and usually only at the newer larger PTT Park stations.  EV charging is easier to find now, and that's not an exaggeration  :cheesy:

We switched from E85 to E20. Now we getting 10% better fuel economy.

Patong authorities are actively pursuing a group of men linked to a violent assault on Bangla Road, which resulted in injuries to a British tourist early yesterday morning. The altercation occurred in the vicinity of a 7-Eleven near Soi Sea Dragon around 4:40 am.

Upon police arrival, Charlie Faulkner, a British tourist, was discovered with a stab wound on his lower left side. Responders from the Kusoldharm Foundation provided initial medical aid and transported him to Patong Hospital for further treatment.

According to witnesses, Faulkner had engaged in a dispute with a group of Thai men prior to the stabbing. Following the attack, the assailants fled, leaving Faulkner to seek refuge within the 7-Eleven premises.

In response, Patong police have assembled an investigative team to review surveillance footage from the area, aiming to identify and apprehend the individuals involved in the assault.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Chanan Mekchai emphasized their commitment, stating, "We are diligently analyzing CCTV recordings and compiling essential evidence to ensure accountability for those responsible."

The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with pertinent information to come forward and aid in the resolution of the case.

Rats and mice don't just enter dirty places. If they smell food, in any house, they will try and get in, and the opening only has to be the size of a quarter, so sealing any holes has to be done. Having cats helps of course. Sticky traps are the way to go, although not really humane, but vermin do not belong in a house so that's the only way to go if you have cats, because spring traps might catch them. Poisoning isn't good also, because, as stated, they will die in the walls or attic and smell awful for quite awhile. Poisoning outside doesn't work because it kills domestic animals also. Also, like mentioned, poisoning kills them in the house, where they die and can't always be located, and this attracts other rats. If you catch them, find a local that will take them, as they eat rats here all over.

When I lived in PNG they use to eat a holes in the metal fly screens to get inside. Rat traps outside near hole solved problem.

    Pattaya-1-Rat-infestation-sparks-alarm-at-Pattaya-and-Jomtien-beaches-copy.jpg

The shores of Pattaya and Jomtien are under siege by a horde of unwelcome guests – rats. This alarming infestation is not just an eyesore but a significant health hazard, leaving locals and tourists in a frenzy.

The burgeoning rat population, thriving on nocturnal scavenging, is wreaking havoc, threatening the area’s cleanliness and charm.

The Pattaya City Surveillance and Rapid Response Team (SRRT) sprang into action yesterday, conducting thorough inspections and deploying rodenticides in a bid to curb this vermin invasion. The SRRT’s swift response aims to preserve the hygiene standards crucial for both residents and the influx of tourists.

Officials underscore the gravity of effective rat control measures.

“Proper disposal of carcasses is essential to mitigate health risks.”

The call to action extends to local business operators, with a focus on beach chair vendors whose cooperation is deemed vital in these efforts. Maintaining Pattaya’s standing as a top-tier tourist hotspot hinges on their active participation.

Police in Surat Thani have detained several foreigners suspected of operating an illegal daycare and wakeboarding service centre on Koh Pha Ngan.

Tourist Police apprehended a 26-year-old Russian woman and an 18-year-old Myanmar woman at a residence where they were taking care of foreign children. The Russian woman confessed to police that she had been working at the daycare for three months while on a tourist visa.

The Myanmar woman revealed she had been employed there for over a year as a helper. Both women indicated that their employer was a Belarusian woman, whom police are currently attempting to locate.

In a separate incident, police raided Back & Forth Wake Park, targeting illegal wakeboarding services. A Russian man was arrested for operating the facility without proper authorisation since December last year. He was also in Thailand on a tourist visa.

Authorities are cracking down on illegal foreign-run businesses, aiming to keep operations within legal boundaries and ensuring the safety and compliance of all service providers.
