Why?

The standards of hygiene in Thailand leaves a lot to be desired, Thai's dont throw anything away and I always said here in Phuket is low season, I had some fruit a couple of days ago from a well known supermarket, by 2-30 in the morning I knew about it, I have eaten something dodgy a few times recently, I'm not buying from street vendors.

Where I live there is a couple of farangs use them to carry their dogs around and down to the beach.

Down here in Phuket they are, also many food carts use them

A couple of years ago my daughter and family came to Phuket and stayed in a 5 star resort in Karon, one day I was sat outside on the front having a smoke, near the taxi's and a farang couple came out and wanted to go to the airport the drivers said 2000 baht, i couldn't say anything I just had to look away,

When they going to start? Rawai is full of them

I think it might be worse in Phuket, I saw in a Facebook group the other day a tourist wanting to get a taxi from the airport to Mai Khao I mean FFS it's only down the road, the hotel she would be staying at quoted 1700 baht, and some replies were as much as 750 baht, from Rawai to Mai Khao was only 700 and that's almost the length of the island,

The host is supposed to say on his listing how much per unit they are charging for the electric, I knew one guy was charging 10 baht, thats a bit much,

You obviously dont know what you talking about, Airbnb is not illegal, anybody can rent out their property for over 30 days without a license or permit, he rented for 4/half months perfectly legal,

This story is a bit vague, BDC should find alternative accommodation it does say that in the contract, the story says it took 6 hours to find some alternative place to stay, as it says it will be equivalent or better that what they booked, given it was Christmas that would be no easy task, and it seems like it was late in the day, BDC used to have an office in Phuket so that could have worked in their favour as they would know the area, Not like Airbnb were it used to be Indian call centers then you would have problems

So, only 2 people on the bike need a helmet? There is a big school down the road from me, I think I'll go and stand outside and watch all the kids going home riding bikes with no helmets sometimes 3 or 4 on the bike, and the police standing there watching, And no insurance.

Today another British couple got arrested in Valencia Spain with suitcases full of canapiss, They say they came from Thailand via France,

The quality of the helmets need to be looked at,

Here in Rawai, it has definitely slowed down, almost everybody I speak to say it's quiet, I went down the beach the other morning it was a lovely morning but it was not busy

In days gone by when you had to pay 200 Baht Tax as you were leaving, I have been approached a few time by farangs asking for 200 Baht,

It is a problem for old people like me, I need to have a plan most days Im at home but I do go down to the beach early morning, so I make sure I go to the toilet before we go and I think when was last time I had a crap, That new mini shopping mall in Rawai has got some very nice clean toilets and then Amazon have clean toilet, so Im ok if Im in Rawai, Sunday we like to go shopping, we go makro they have clean toilets and then in Central I have it worked out where the toilets are, They should have toilets and showers for the tourist on the beaches Im sure they wouldnt mind paying 10 baht or 20 baht for a shower,

There has been some dodgy agents over the years down here in Phuket, I've never used one, I know of one guy who's passport went missing for 6 months, and in the past there have been tails of dodgy stamps, and then just pure out and out scams, especially over work permits,
