I took a female Thai to Jomtien police station after my extended family made a citizens' arrest. The woman had rented my s-i-l's car and sold it. The accused has done this three times. The cop refused to move until the nurse owner of the car paid him 10K.
10k that was cheap, I know someone here in Phuket and they wanted 20k

Where would you say is the best place to put a sign telling the pool depth? On the side of the pool, same me
I went to confirm what I already knew 2 resort pools here in this area both nice big pools one place a 4* 40m length not one sign on the edge of the pool but there was sign on the wall behind the palm tree stating it was 1.2m deep not clearly visible to everyone using the pool only if you walk past it would you see it.
The other 5* resort not one sign anywhere could I see, looking at the pool there are steps down is that the shallow end I ask myself, Dodgy,
None of these pools had any staff around the pool obviously not a law in Thailand to have a lifeguard on duty

The notices are there to cover the hotel/pool management. Absence of such not the responsibility of the travel insurance company.
But, also covers us

Its generally not a good idea to dive into a shallow pool. With regards to all accidents an insurance company will have in their small print that the insured should at all times be considered to have taken reasonable care and attention.
We have some villas for rent and we put signs around the pools "No Diving"

In cases like this I think the Embassies should have some kind of repatriation scheme in place I know years ago the UK government did as a friend of mine was stranded in Israel and they paid for her to get home, she did have to pay it back before she could leave the country again.
Thailand used to have something similar about getting their citizens back from a foreign country

What about the ones that dont want to work? You have to admit it's not a good idea under taking and riding a bike putting yourself in that position as you stand no chance against that truck and it is a blind spot for the driver
