I went with family to some beaches out from Rayong/Chantaburi last weekend. Rubbish everywere on the beach. Food, bottles, plastic, everything. And not a foreigner insight (apart from me).
Shameful. No one takes responsibility.

I have pain in my coccyx.
Thinking of using a TENS machine.
Does anyone have experience of using a TENS machine.
Any recommendations?
Thanks for any suggestions!

I need to sell my Honda Rebel 500.
Am looking at options to facilitate the sale.
Can anyone recommend a good shop or online portal?
Thanks

Never knew the chap but in the early 90s I was a regular down Patpong and bumped into him quite a few times - sufficient to exchange bilateral nods of ackowledgement.
I really miss those times. Great days.

So I use Wise from a Thai address - and no card. But if I change to my legitimit UK address I can get card. Sounds good.
What do I need to show to change to my UK address?
Anyone know?

What's a PEO?
Professional Employment Organisation - Google them in Bangkok. There are loads.

My situation is exactly the same as yours. You need a PEO. Plenty in Bangkok. Completely legal and above board.

Been here about 30 years. And 'This is Thailand' remains a constant.
It is not about what 'the people' want. Was forever thus.

I agree - you just can't beat a morning beer.
Indeed. The great Jim Morrison said it himself in this ultimate beer-drinking classic.

I get these every time. And they are wrong because I am always travelling.
Just ignore the messages. It's not complicated.

Still no official word on what is happening.
Meanwhile, financial/tax companies/consultants are having a field day trying to scare expats (through, for instance articles and webinars) into paying for their expensive services. 'Please get in touch if you have any queries about your tax situation in Thailand. We are here to help'.

When you consider all the millions of international banking transfers it makes it almost impossible to enforce effectively. It'll be a right mess if they do introduce this.

Right now the fee would be 29.05 GBP
Exchange rate is 44.2999 THB/1 GBP
You would receive 220,212.59 THB
Fees and rates vary. The important number is how much you receive.
Thank you! This seems pretty reasonable.
Looking at posts above quite a few folks seem to be using Wise for transferring money into Thailand. Can't see how such transfers can be taxed if I'm honest. There must be literally tens of millions of bank transfers every single day. How on earth could they effectively tax these?
Has anyone had a good experience dating/marrying a bar girl or prostitute in Thailand?

35 years ago I married a Thai girl, a well-educated trainee lawyer from a respectible family. She became a lawyer a few years after we married and lived in BKK.
We divorced 15 years after marrying. Dreadful marriage, no love between us. But beautiful kids.
I remarried with a bar girl from Pattaya 17 year ago. We have a wonderful relationship and have beautiful kids. We love each other to bits. And still live in BKK.
Take what you want from that. But it's the truth.
