    Well said metempsychotic.

It's the little tips that might make all the difference.

I've just read that the most vunerable part of the body is the eyes. Better to wear swimming goggles than a face mask I'm informed. Best to wear the clear ones, especially when in the markets.

This virus could kill a few farang if we do not keep our wits about us. For the drinkers I suggest making a small hole in the mask just big enough for a straw. And use the alcohol gel liberally in the toilet.

Wrapping feet inside plastic bags before slipping on the flip-flops as those with athletes foot are especially vunerable.

Half the human race could be infected this year. And if it takes hold in Africa; well it doesn't bear thinking about.

Stay safe, stay sound, stay alive.

Thank heaven you are not serious.

I think in a way there is fake news about that virus all over the word all over the media.

Because let's look at the real risk. How many people are sick? How many people died?

And then compare those number with how many people die every day in traffic accidents in Thailand alone.

The virus risk is for most of us 0 or very near to 0. Why should we worry?

well if you read the doom sayers and conspiracy theorists here on thaivisa, one might suspect we were all already dead.

Besides what else do the majority of folks on here have to do rather than opine sagely on the state of thailand and the topic of the year.

read some of the threads the paranoia is loud and shrill.

this below is just one fine example.

First off it is laughable because it assumes the only reason we may have to leave the homestead is to go to big C or tesco.

secondly because it assumes we are all banging bargirls and that if we were we would actually interact with them while masked.

simple and sensible things that could keep us ALL alive indeed.

one does hope the advice were tongue in cheek, but sadly i suspect not.

    Tips for keeping virus free.

Wear face masks during visits to Big Care. Tesco or 7/11. And use the alcohol gel to clean the shopping basket or cart's handle.

Insist that any bar-girl you might fancy keeps her mask on.

Don't keep touching your face or other peoples' unless you are sure they have not got the virus.

Don't share tooth brushes or chopsticks until virus has gone.

Simple things are sensible and could keep us alive.

Had their ancestors remained in Africa, do you think they would have been very rich entertainers now?

You are aware that america is comprised entirely of immigrant populations with the execption of the indigenous nations?

Not one single person of european ancestry would be who they were without emigratIng at some point.

The fact that many did so willingly and not under extreme duress doesnt really do credit to your argument either.

This thread has stirred up afestival of ugly nationalism.

Frankly I owe no country or song respect, I may stand out of courtesy but I most certainly dont deny anyone their right to expression, especially in a country that has branded itself as the land of the free and basis this claim on a core tenet that guarantess the right to free speech and expression.

Get over yourselves you boring  hypocrites.

Though I agree that pollution is a big problem with existential elements.

Pollution is localized and not contagious (not self replicating), where the virus has the potential to infect all humanity.

Hate to break it to you but the ramifications of global pollution is already affecting/infecting all humanity.

007 RED, if you cannot access your phone on IDC, how does it work? Can you only phone telephone numbers you know by heart, or can you access your phone to copy the number down? If you need a lawyer can you access the internet to search for a lawyer?

Or are you entirely dependent on remembering the number of a person that is clever enough to find you all the help you need?

Same with money, if you have money on an online account but you cannot transfer that to the jail account?

All depends on your memory of telephone numbers? And that the person you call answers you seeing an unknown thai telephone number.

Who would you call at 1am with little battery when you,ve fell off a cliff?..https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3971370/amp/Man-clung-branch-two-hours-falling-80ft-cliff-managed-call-friends-help-SECONDS-phone-ran-battery.html

Only person I have know who went through idc (phuket, bangkok, then suvarnabhumi) had phone access throughout.

As for the rest of the speculation good lord gentlemen give it a rest.

I am not worried at all and just live life as usual. I do have back-up water and food but that stands aside of this virus, enough for a few weeks / 2 months extreme.
As well charcoal, 5L gasoline, wood to burn, 300W solar panel + inverter + batteries, medical kit, medicine, 10 camping refill cans of cooking gas, flash light + 4 batteries.

Most food can last without being in the freezer or fridge. Sounds like a lot but was actually very inexpensive via Lazada.
Actually more concerned over water shortages, do also have a 1000L tank for shower etc though + 2 life straws (filtering dirty water to drinkable).

Having herbs in the garden helps too, rice, beans and tuna is easy to stock and gets one a long way too.
I do realise while writing my alcohol stock needs to be updated. If that is not enough I am likely to die anyway.

My god, its coronavirus. Not the zombie apocalypse.

I remember the first sars outbreak. Came back from business in beijing only to be told that I was to work from home for 10 days.

    Yes please.

The problem is with the current trend of live streaming on YouTube. No chance of objecting to it, it's already out there. I realise that in today's world cameras are everywhere but I expect some privacy when sat in a closed bar. It's a private place and as such is illegal to film.

The most notorious Pattaya YouTuber, currently, is Barfines & Powerlines, (henceforth referred to as the fat four eyed ginger Tyke) who will livestream in closed bars whether the customers object or not. Done it a couple of times in Nightwish bars. Complain to management? Not a chance, he's sponsord by Nightwish and wears their T Shirts when making videos. They obviously regard him as good publicity for their bars.

These people, due to them being constantly reported, do have their accounts suspended but just create a new account with a similar name. You can't win.

It's becoming more of a than coronavirus in Pattaya.

Ill take my chances with coronavirus.

To even be vaguely concerned about this boggles my mind

Sounds like they have a zero tolerance policy now for foreigners. Sorry to hear it. So did they give you a ban as well? 1 year or blacklisted? To me it sounds hypocritical as they just medically legalized it and your was for personal fun use. So get your stuff like airplane booked. did they give you your passport back? I know stupid question, but never know. It is not just you it is all foreigners in a sense. Cheer up and next time go to Vietnam.

one man being deported does not a policy make.

and he was pretty clear he had no passport, if he did, he could leave.

My friend tells me you can get 3 harvests and push the season to December as you say and the head start going purple.Thai sticks must have been much better quality than this brick stuff then.Hopefully the brick stuff will be forced by a discerning market to supply a better quality product at a much lower price.Praise the lord Shiva in whom I trust will prevail in this unholy of wars.

when thai stick was actually a thing, all weed was much lower in quality and thc content..

Good weed is much stronger now,  bad weed will always be bad weed.

Not great mate I’m really sad angry and disappointed they’ll deport me they give me 2 days of freedom and then they send me to immigration goes knows how long this is going to take maybe even a month I’m <deleted> shocked and reallly upset and I don’t know how to react

Cant you just purchase a ticket and fly asap? If they want you gone, it would seem you could step it up. I think your lawyer has been a bit lax.

As for your 15k bail, whats up with that?

Either way the 2.5k fine is a result. Don't forget that.

    That sucks, but
