you are good dude, i would be very surprised if you were fined more than 20k.
weed is a Class V drug, it should be a firm slap on the wrist, especially in small amounts.
i would run out of fingers if i tried to count the folks i know who have been caught and walked away a little poorer.
but take it seriously, alas the law is not always predictable even if logic dictates that there is no benefit to adding foreigners with minor infractions to the list.
be as meek and respectful and contrite as you can.
what has your lawyer said?
please let us know how it plays out.-

you will likely walk with a fine, there is very little upside to sending you to jail, especially for a relatively small amount.
unfortunately every one i know who has encountered a possession charge situation was able to negotiate on spot and pay and walk away. they all also had decent thai skills and understood how to play the game.
the one person i know who was charged and went in front of a judge and was fined 20k if i recall correctly.
his holiday was uninterrupted and he has been back annually since, this was about 3 years ago.
he did not seek counsel, and refused the option to make it go away for 40k.
it is highly unlikely that you will face any time.
a fine is the normal first offer, and those who are jailed are more often than not the poor buggers that cannot afford to pay it.-

So I bought MSG today and just used it in my fried rice.
And, just.... WOW. That's it. It is so incredibly delicious. I guess the flavour I was looking for was umami. Thanks so much for that!
I did read some mixed things about it, though. Can you tell me why you wouldn't recommend it?
Becuase he is clinging to old misinformation.
Msg like is like salt, fine when used in moderation.

Just one of many articles indicate where the bias began.
Many still believe it.

3. Gait - check - leg injury causes him to walk and stand a specific way
4. Shoes - check - match the prints found on the glass
5. Wife - check - she told the cops that he did it.
6. Admission of guilt - check - He SAID he did it.
The reasons behind his thinking is neither here nor there. This is not a balanced individual. He did it.
A whole lot of items there not mentioned or in direct contradiction to the report in the op.

I make no claims your side does, and the onus is on you to substantiate it.
My side? It seems you can type, but can you read?
Personally I havent taken the time to read your remarks in depth and responded only to a comment by sunblaster.
You sure you have taken the time to respond to the right person?

the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.-------------------The same principles are applied to the non-physical world. Is that really so difficult to understand?
Sorry there tiger it does not work that way.
The definition you provided here specifically excludes the non-physical or spiritual worlds.
If you wish to cite text as authorative, you dont simply get to add your own bits on at the end and claim them as definitive.
Simply repeating an argument ad nauseam does not make it so. Why do you consistently keep placing the onus on others to substantiate your claims?
I do question why someone would persist in such a discussion rather then simply moving along secure in their belief in their own path, but that is up to you,
I will certainly not continue in this circular discussion.

Nor do i, and everyone else here, or they wouldn't be here.
Why would we leave?
The whole topic is about all western expats leaving...
Actually the topic is about the insignificance of expats leaving, and utilizes a very narrow notion of what an expat actually is.

People assume their own lifestyle is universal. Very few on thaivisa seem to grasp that retirees and sexpats are very small beer in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not sure if that's the location, or the name of the Thai company behind it....
My response was actually tongue in cheek, as we all know bavaria and holland exist in 2 different countries, but it seems bavaria holland us actually produced by a large family owned brewery originating in the netherlands.

extremely simplified non sense calculation.
Most expat workers here are in higher positions, CEOs of BMW and co., Samsung etc.
You can say what you want but if westerners leave that will also include all japanese and koreans (Toyota, Samsung etc).
If they all have to leave, then for a damn good reason. That reason would be so bad that all above mentioned companies would be shut, all foreign direct investment would stop and the economy would be majorly skrewed.
That reason will be the same reason that will stop tourists from coming here.
But those expats have no issues with red tape and meet all requirements. Why would they leave?

it seems like the city is using the parks as a kind of face thing.
areas that are pretty super clean, litter free and heavily patroled, but not really user friendly.
lumpini does have benches around but there are not nearly enough for the size of the park. seems like the point is to have these wide open grassy areas. if a lot of people converged on the park there would be nowhere to sit.
Alot of people did converge upon the park for months.
They brought tents and yellow shirts.

Every bicycle I have ever owned loses pressure after a week or 2 of disuse. I ride em daily they still need refular topping up.
Im sure your fortuner loses pressure too, maybe not alot, but it most certainly does.
I check tyre pressures bi weekly on the car, and it is always a little down and in need of a top up.
Im with the wife.
Also wonder why you boil eggs for 20 minutes.
