They also use rubber tires around the scones, they end up on the next lane being an obstacle for motocyclists....
If they really want to improve road safety they better ask the farang for help.

For what it's worth, vehicles don't stop for pedestrians at zebra crossings. At least in Jomtien they don't. Agree nationality should be irrelevant
Also the push buttons at the zebra's in Jomtien don't work....Even the zebra's don't work when there's a taxi parked on it who will horn to you while you cross...

There are currently big 3 bad promotional stories running on the UK media about Thailand in the last 3 days.
1. Thailand mass deaths on the road.
2. Protests by the youth about rigged elections.
3. Forced hair cutting of students by teachers and forced military like teaching.
Thailand - and especially the ruling elite - are being portrayed very, very badly now.
I cannot see the status quo carrying on - something is going to have to change - question though is is it for the better or worse
And last week in the other european newspapers i read more articles about thailand which i'm sure not allowed to mention.

Well if you can't build proper tourist attractions than maybe this is a good idea!
In the USA you go to Seaworld and Disneyland.
In Europe you go to see architecture and great cities.
In Thailand you go to see the jail.

Tourists will be careful with choosing an international holiday vacation. And being restricted for 2 weeks to a resort, they will just chose another destination.
I called my travel insurance and asked if they can sell me an insurance with COVID-19 coverage for 100.000 us$...they don't even have it.

So rice farmers complaining water shortage end of next week then
Yes, if they didn't dig ponds though to keep the water....
There are many video's on youtube where they turned a desert into a jungle by only digging canals and ponds.

Why are Thai built cars so expensive?
Thailand has a different tax-system...most people don't pay any tax by the way.
When you're that rich that you can buy a car the taxman comes by and puts it on the new price of said car...that way it's impossible for the thai to evade tax and it won't hurt the poorer people.

And replaced it with Starbucks, Burger King, McD and KFC.
Great appeal to the foreign tourists.....
They came there already 25 years ago...i still remember it.
The only nice thing about KSR is the open restaurants with nice terraces..why can't they build more terraces like that in Thailand?

Those silly things they call tuktuk's in Phuket are they from Toyota? They have a minimum charge of 200 baht for 150 meter distance. It's time the Phuket taxi maffia gets sorted.

Just let them build something really amazing and huge....there's no landmark building in whole BKK like there is in ANY European citie...build the biggest Wat of Asia in BKK and make it last for thousands of years.
Something like the Borubodur or Taj Mahall or that temple in Cambodia....Thailand doesn't have any of that scale.

the load is way too high.
Driver leaving the works, boss the load looks a bit high,
boss...go on son you'll be OK,...just keep your head down.

I've also seen huge trucks going under the cables where they had 2 men on top of the load to lift the cables by hand while the truck drove under them.
And i've seen a truck pulling down the cables of a whole street, including the posts...
Amazing Thailand!

If they visit a shop or something like a zoo they have to give a contact number. Effectively they are being tracked whenever they are in crowded places anyway. Just pile on lots of extra regulations on tourists to ensure that they never come back to Thailand again.
Well i myself will only come back after all this bs is over.....i can wait, Belgian beer costs 20 baht a bottle here....

This post is a load of <deleted>. For a non o immigrant visa you do not need 400k thb in a bank account. He said he was all prepared. Obviously not because if you look on the Royal Thai website it tells you everything you need to know. I am currently in the process of putting together my paperwork. So treat this with a bad experience because he was not prepared
Embassies can make up any rule that they want, and they don't put their requirements on the official website....i know all about it.
