  1. Yeah the adapters are 900 baht to buy, but I don't really want to buy one if it's only say 100 baht to replace the fuse or I can replace the one I got for free cos I only bought it yesterday, and it was hardly my fault as they didn't tell me anything about having to have a step down converter.

Also Ian B you're wrong about the Wiikey not being being All Zone comaptible, 99% of US games can be played on the Japanese Wii, the only game that doesn't work, well it the US version works but it changes the Wii back to Japanese is Cooking Mama, and I'm not really into cooking anyway !

All the other US games are in English, I saved 3,500 baht in getting the Japanese version, the Wii console menus are in Japanese but the games are 100% English.

  2. Hi,

I'm having a very bad week gaming ..... First on sunday I got the infamous 3 red lights on my 360, I took that in as it was still under gurantee on monday, hopefully that will be ok.

So today I bought a Japanese Wii, I didn't get a converter with it so I guessed it didn't need one .... well I was wrong, luckiy I hadn't plugged it into the Wii yet, so I'm sure the only thing wrong is the fuse blew up in the AC adapter (the Ac adapter rattles now with the sound of a fuse, also it knocked my Electric off) ... Is this a very easy thing to replace, that any electrical shop can change ??? I don't really want to go back to the place I bought it, cos it's too far (MBK), especially if it will only cost less than 200 baht to fix near me ..... or is it a big job, or do I need to change the whole thing which is worth me travelling all the way back into town ?!?!

I would like to know why they sold me a console without a converter, I can remember while buying it he asked me if I had broadband already, I said yes and thought it strange why he asked this question ?? I can only guess now that he got his English mixed up and meant to ask me if I had a Converter already ??

Also in my defence the 360 doesn't use a Step down converter and my one is Japanese, but my PS2 does and that is Japanese .....

Please tell me this is an easily rectifible problem

  3. Gamertag : Gobshoe

The only game I can play with no lag at all is Gears of War .... I've tried Virtua Tennis 3 -- Serious Lag, unplayable .... Fight Night 3 --- Sometimes ok but usually a little lag

What games are others playing with no lag ???

    Skippy what is BF2 ??

  4. Don't worry about it being chipped .... Playstation 3's haven't been cracked yet, so they are brand new not been touched inside......

I am waiting for it to be cracked, when it is and it is only a matter of time, I will buy one :o

  5. Does anyone know whats a fair price for a second hand xbox in Thailand?

I would like to buy one but have no idea about price.

    Thanks

Do you mean the X-Box 1 ??? You could buy mine but I recently blew it up, by plugging it into the mains over here and forgetting the step down converter, don't know how much damage is done or if it can be fixed ??

i am interested, but I worry if it is an American XBox, it might be in NTSC video format, not sure if my TV will like that.

It's a Japanese X-box, but every menu is in English ... I think Japanese is NTSC too, your Tv should be able to playback both NTSC & Pal, nearly all Tvs in Thailand can play both formats ...... Anyway I have about 50 games, 2 controllers, step down adapter, Dvd remote controller .... fi you're interested give me a Pm

  7. Hi,

I want to know what's all the differences between the two ?? I know you can't put the menus in English with the Jap version, but I hardly use the menus on the x-box 360 or ps2 anyway, so that won't be a problem. Also the version I want to buy has the wiikey installed, and supposedly it can play Us & Jap games, but can it play all Us games on the Jap Wii ?? Also I read that some games Sonic being one will automatically switch to Jap on a jap machine ....

The Jap version is 4,000baht cheaper at most places in Thailand, there must be a reason why, but what is it ?????
