It's about transfer of extensions, not being stamped in
-
No, they are illegal migrants using boats and a sob story. They are not escaping a war OR persecution.

I have just returned from the UK, a week before leaving here I phoned the passport office and they gave me a date to go in and a time,I arrived half hour early ,paid my 128 pounds and 4 hours later picked up my new passport ,on arrival here I showed both passports ,no problem,a few days ago I went to immigration here in Pattaya ,the girl filled in a form and I took it to counter 6,come back tomorrow after 10,this I did and I was given my new passport with the stamps in it ,no fuss,no hassle and no charge
Udon Thani Immigration charges THB 500 for that free service...
Is this corruption or do they give a receipt?

so no embassy letter then Claudius?
-
Amazing anyone have a link?
Try searching the British Embassy (Bangkok) website !
Zilch on there as regards the appropriately-misnamed "visa transfer letter", actually. But the With-It Tower Mob do hand you the attached "IMPORTANT NOTICE" when you collect your replacement passport from them - assuming, of course, that you applied for it there!
That's progress, but where is the (attached) application form? At least Thai immigration has all the forms numbered that you can download
-
so they only post services they make money from, not very helpful of them really. Thanks will have a look at that.

My friend has an electrified wire, around the perimeter of his house,on the exterior wall, not to much voltage, but enough to deter them.or kill them i don't know,he is on piers,so easier, but he has very few,so it seems to work.
Good idea to put a shock up the cats as well coming in and crapping

https://www.gov.uk/notarial-and-documentary-services-guide-for-thailand - not easy to find, can't see it mentioned anywhere

why do you need a letter, to say the new passport is real? Of course there is a charge they do NOTHING for free, about 2,500 baht.
-
JCV and Pickford international but they cost a lot more than the other way.
-
different girl surely
-
for those who never saw it-
complete fake passed off as a documentary the 'bar girl' was an actress
-
The film was about as convincing as the good woman of Bangkok- just acting out a part.

I used to'go out' with her mate who worked at the same bar, Pla borrowed money off her for an abortion on soi 12, of course she was a sex worker. Can't really understand why the OP is obsessed by what happened somebody he never even met.

Nobody forced them onto the boats, it's just a ploy to get around the visa laws. Feed 'em and send them back where they came from, Thailand has enough problems with Muslims in the south without this lot of beggars.
-
That depends on the local office.
Besides, the OP has proof that he send it.
I had proof and they accepted they received it and posted it back (CW) they seemed to think it getting lost was my fault, trust me it's not worth the bother when they get lost. Hopefully the online reporting will work- one day!
-
Happened to me you have to report to the local Police and get a report, take that to immigration. They were not at all happy and it was not straightforward doing the next 90 day report, never again too much hassle
-
Pointless survey, it will NEVER happen.

My mrs got rejected, some very strange reasons one of which was I came to Thailand so often so why did she need to go to the UK. Did another application the same but with a lettr from MP who I never met and got a VV. I do not believe the 95% rate which seems to be the same quoted year in year out.
A very unusual story !
Will you post the rejection letter?
AND the unknown MPs lettr (sic) which I am sure you will be happy share !
Guess we will all have to wait a long time for you to do those simple things
I have no intention of doing either, if you don't believe that's up to you.

What was Buddha's first teaching? 'Life is suffering."
Second? "There is a way to stop it"
get drunk is the only way, nervarna is a fairly tale for fools and sheep.

Thais, mostly utterly stupid with no sense of responsibility, honesty or integrity,
-
Sorry, but the OP doesn't make sense.
Neither does much of Thai behavior so sounds about right
Mistake on bank letter for extension?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Waiting almost three hours to get a bank letter today to go immigration tomorrow for an extension (Samut Prakan) I did not notice until I got home that they spelt my first name wrong and stuck an extra R in it. Will immigration reject it if they notice, or is it best to do the Bank all over again?
