surely a 'probe' should be normal and not have to be 'ordered'

lol, my step-son just paid 3,000 baht (tea money) to get his drivers licence, just north outside of Phichit.
When I found out that his Mom gave him the money, I was mad a hell. And she said this is the Thai way!
why did he have to pay? if you can't do 3 simple maneuvers you must have a death wish, that's twice the going rate in Bkk

for those who never saw it-
complete fake passed off as a documentary the 'bar girl' was an actress

Anyone remember Ant Robertson? is the spotlight club still going?
Spotlight is only a shadow of its former self.
Last time I went there was 1997 and it was rubbish then, girls with stars pasted on their tits
-
The film was about as convincing as the good woman of Bangkok- just acting out a part.

I used to'go out' with her mate who worked at the same bar, Pla borrowed money off her for an abortion on soi 12, of course she was a sex worker. Can't really understand why the OP is obsessed by what happened somebody he never even met.

He'll probably regret it, as most do by the divorce rate

I imagine the Olympic committee will be crapping itself at this news.

wax earplugs from boots, I have them in almost permanently. On the social side I do not want to listen to Thais talking rubbish and whooping it up so they cut that out as well as barking dogs, music, screaming kids and planes over head. Being deaf would not be so bad in Thailand.

My mrs is size 35 and I can confirm that having been into just about every chain in Bkk it is VERY difficult to find this size. If you do come across one it will be a poor choice. On the plus side it means I don't have to fork out for them very often

More boats on the horizon soon with little kids for added begging value, oooh it's not heir fault, er yes it is nobody forced them onto boats
-
Thailand as any other sovereign nation has a right to protect it's borders from illegal boat people wherever they come from. Why do countries have border protection practices in place ? not for the fun of it thats for sure. It's there to ensure there is no illegal entry into the country .... correct .
it dosent have the right to shoot at innocents on the open sea
Yes it does have the right to fire to turn them away, they are illegal immigrants and have no rights in Thai waters

Some of the attitudes on here are disgusting. Boats full of human beings are drifting out at sea desperate and hungry and some of the attitude is "so what, they are Muslims they deserve it" you do know it is the Rohingya that are victims of brutal prejudice in Burma right? Think before you Start spitting your ignorant, racist bile. And Yes I would take them into the uk where despite similar attitudes multi-culturism works.
Don't think so. As indicated, most comments are calling for a sensible solution. Feed them, give them water, take care of any injured, give them help and any assistance, provide fuel & send them back.
How many times does it have to be said that they have no country to go back to? They are stateless.with no recognition that they belong anywhere
They are not stateless they could go back to mayamar or Bangladesh, THEY chose where they are now nobody else. THEY left Bangladesh, then THEY could not integrate into mayamar due to ISALM. Then THEY paid traffickers money for a boat ride. They are not victims of traffickers they were the customers

One on the right cannot be a brit- his head is not shaven

Egypt is bar far the worse place I have been for it, Philippines as well

I've seen a lot of anti-Rohingya bias on social media from the Thai community over the last few days. It's disconcerting to see how many Thais support the push back policy, with arguments ranging from cost, not Thailand's problem, to outright distain for Muslim Rohingya. Worrying times for humanity indeed..
That why I like Thailand and Thais, none of the bleeding heart PC crap that has crippled the west. Thais are right on every point about these beggars in boats
Heartless
Realistic

I would not recommend getting serious with any Thai woman to anyone, what do you think is in it for you? if you want company get a cat or a dog!
-
i'd volunteer to tow the boats back out to sea, might need a work permit though
-
I feel sorry for them, but does the US need any more Muslims during these troubling times?
They will have millions spent on them and many will end up hating the USA just like the Boston bomber immigrants did, it's an Islamic problem not an immigrant one. They could not integrate into Mayamar because they were always Muslim first, that problem will follow them around, the only place for them is a Muslim country.

Don't tell them anything, the MP's don't when they are claiming and they screw a lot more out of the system than pensioners aboard!

So how do Thai students go overseas for post-secondary education get in the door of a USA College/University, and yet graduate!
That will be a tiny percentage, and almost none from the government School system which is not about education but indoctrination + reading and writing Thai. You are commenting on the rich elite from good private Schools.
