I get them in change at Foodland. I tried paying with them there and they wouldn't take them. Funny. No big deal though.
But you can see my logic, estimated 60.000000 population then you get the bigger picture when there traded over the counters every single day.

I see in my crystal ball that some time in the future mist & haze that smiles will return to the sturn faces of welcoming immigration staff when we walk in for our extensions etc etc, OH YES SIR !

Are you serious? How am I bashing Thailand? Now two gunmen shooting indiscriminately at locals in the past week. This country has never had to deal with this sort of Western influenced behaviour before now.
Its not a new thing at all, folks get shot regular here have and always will be as such, its just grabbing headlines and do note he was making a lot of noise for the adrenalin rush and then did a runner but doesnt state any one was hit ? says it all.

Interesting that 7 Eleven don't bother to count them?
Probably once a year (eeh, we're poor) I take all the satangs to Big C. They'll change them too, except I have to wait while they count them.
Oddly enough, I put them in Barclays coin bags someone bought over here for me.
The banks here don't seem to have coin weighing scales that will tell you how much value of the same coin is on the scale. They want to sellotape them up in five/ten/whatever Baht amounts.
Pray tell me that this is not a total rip off , yes or no ?

I used to bung em in a jar with other shrapnel, then when the jar got full, whichever lady was unfortunate to be with me at that given moment would scoop them off to the nearest temple, which would get me in the good (ish) books for an hour or two...

It is not only here. In the Euro EU they are discussing to remove the Cent. But there is a big problem for the retailers. Prices like 99.99 wouldn't be possible anymore. And I am not kidding now. They block it.
Know you know my angle on this topic .

Life can't be bad if you are ranting about satang!

In the almost 15 years living here these coins truly p!ss me off, who on earth trades em back over a counter the 50 & 25 satang coins and even for tourists the 1 baht coin ... the ordinary small traders never seem to include them with change but the big boys shopping malls always seem to trade them over thus the treasury are quids in big time .... RANT OVER.

Thank you for the Information
I have gone to local amulet shop in where I am most of them said its original but they are afraid to say the value of the amulet until it gets verified by an authenticator
Many ask me to leave it in their shop so they can help me sell it but Im a it sceptical to leave my amulet with them
It make get changed to a fake ones
So I am planing to go Bangkok to a bigger shop and get their opinion
Most if not all street stall sellers are hustlers, ive just seen some samples of your amulet on the bay starting bids as low as 35 bht, the big shop owners are your best shot.
