Simple action would be to round up and remove stray dogs employing a couple of dog catchers . That's what functional countries do to solve a problem and not let cultural religious belief over ride public health .

Australia records its worst ever score on anti-corruption index after decline to match Hungary’s
buttt it depends how you define corruption I suppose. As has been pointed out by developing nations many times, the west often sets the rules as to what corruption is, the terribly "corrupt" things they do are then not seen as corruption. Id consider the City of London as one of the most corrupt places on the planet. For example, they literally have people watching parliament to make sure nothing untoward takes away their ability to be "legally corrupt" and if someone attempt sot they step in. eg exemption from freedom of information laws
"Legally corrupt"? Hahah. Thailand tops that . Can't get UK on that pal.

Unbelievable.
The uk should be almost black, right down the bottom of the list.
Haha. You like to believe that. But for it's problems corruption ain't one of them. As I see starving people in a country like Thailand around those with their BMW and Mercedes .. I know which country has more problems

Maybe it is because we all look the same to them? Compared to the rest of the world Thailand is low on homicides and low on crime. Whether this is from the police force or the good nature of the Thai people your guess is as good as mine
Nonsense. Where's your data for Thai crime.?

Then you haven't followed the news closely ...maybe the use of a sickle is what you haven't 'seen like this before '

What you have to is acquire your own weapon if you really want to be out amongst the low grade trash .. now we know what the projectile type is and can be easily got with money in the land if everything can be purchased . Especially living in a place with morethan it's fair share of folk with 'mental problems '

This is a common story. The only difference is the Swedish guy says they were men and not ladyboys. I wonder if even these details have been verified by CCTV, witnesses or anything.
The fact that he says "the beach is for everyone" indicates that he held his ground in some kind of petty dispute. Instead of just defusing it and walking away.
When you are taught to stand up to thugs bullies and trash it's difficult to change.

Thais ride around drunk with 3 adults on a scooter, no helmets on any of them, but they’re the smart ones because all of them have their masks on like they’re supposed to.
I pointed this out to a friend of mine, and she laughed, and said she’d been riding motorbikes since she was a young girl. No problem, but covid very scary.
Exactly. Cant educate stuoid

Most foreigners don’t walk around the streets without a mask on ready to receive the challenge from Thai’s (or anyone else) to put a mask on.... Why ????........... Because they’re not an antagonistic idiots....

The question really is - how can you not have an opinion on that ???....
The Op gave a description of events and continues to fail to understand how he ’triggered’ a situation under what some could term tense times... He was out in public, asked to put on a mask, and ignored the request angering those making the request.
While refusing to comply with regulations the Op has attempted to play the ‘victim card’ and instead is suggesting that ‘foreigners’ are being targeted because the type of Thai who ‘chased’ him do not target Thai’s. He is perhaps correct there, but it's irrelevant, as he is a foreigner it is simply more noticeable when he doesn’t follow the rules regarding something so visible as ’not mask wearing in public’.
All the Op had to do was ‘put a mask on’..... instead he was deliberately ‘passive aggressive’ and the Thai guys were ’triggered’.... they [the Thai guys] were obviously wrong, but it could also be argued that the Op had it coming.
Thus - Judgement and Opinion: Its quite clear from opening post and from all of the responses provided by the Op that he is simply someone who wants to ’go against the grain’ or ’swim against the current’ because he feels some need to express his inner anti-authoritarianism feelings and show everyone what a free thinker he is !!!!
"Passive agrressive"?. What an idiotic remark ... beware on the streets now all 'aliens " in Thailand .if you decline requests from agrressive Thais to put your face mask up in the open you are aggressive. .. some foreigners really have been assimilated or "Thaified"

More likely they don't chase 'other Thais', because the 'other Thais' will pull a gun and shoot them dead.
Many Thais chasing a single elderly foreigner is a game with much less personal risk.
Not elderly I'm 50 and if one person I will take on.but Thais don't like 1-1. Two of them came. It's the cowardly Thai way

Sounds just like many of those caught by the police for speeding in my home country, "But officer I'm not the only one speeding", two wrongs don't make a right, you chose to ignore established rules, don't cry about it when concerned citizens try to correct you on it by saying others do it also
More nonsense bokojo. Harrassed and chased. Got it. Hey. ? No you don't want to do you

And if any of you trawl the comments you can see how so many divert from the issue. Not uncommon on this board. . 2 Thais harrassed a foreigner for not wearing a mask .. today I seen hundreds of Thais not wearing masks . I wonder if any if them get chased or harassed by other Thais ? I think not , so it's not just about obeying rules . It's about ' dirty foreigners ' bringing Covid to squeaky clean Thailand. Just the same when HIV ballooned in Thailand, all the fault of foreigners . And the incident was reported and recorded at Main police station on beach road . But not expecting anything to come.from it .

They deserve the same ire, but like i said before in every country the people who stick out (foreigners) get judged differently. Its not right but its how it is in all countries. Mental midgets like the OP make it harder for all of us. Its not right but its just how it is.
Theres a "midget ' talking.

Perhaps it is really time for you to go home, as you suggested earlier. We come to Thailand to relax and enjoy. Seems like you have failed in that regard. You seem stressed and angry about everything.
Let it all go. It's not as if you are achieving anything by being objectionable. It's just makes you look....objectionable.
Relax, smile and enjoy. You are not going to win every battle. Even the best trained fighters will steer away from a fight if they can. I fight when there is no other choice. If I can remove the threat by other means, I will try that first. Disarming people with charm is one way. Be more versatile. Learn to dance and dance deftly around every issue. Don't be a stick in the mud. Don't try to be the number one fighter; someone else always wants to be number one.
You are not going to be number one in your grave. Avoid conflict. Be nice.
Ah. Steering from the issue. Time to for you to button up as you have nothing sensible to say ! As I walk around now and see dozens of Thais not wearing masks .. take your hypocrisy else where

You were called out for not wearing a mask in public by concerned Thais right? Did you politely respond to them with a OK and put on a mask or did you flaunt your stance and give a less than polite retort?
More nonsense 'flaunt stance ' no I ignored them . Sums you up when an 'ok and respond to the request is deemed the only response.... . No never
