The mafia often hit people, but they usually do not bother killing any of the witnesses around here (Who more then likely will not talk anyway - TIT) ... But in other countries, I think that they would. ...
Still it probably was NOT a foreigner as the posters say, (They just steal from tourist shops right .... Har Har .... ) ... and yes it probably was an Ex military Thai. (On Drugs ?) ... Still you never know ? ... The Whole World pretty much going off of the rails just now. ... Maybe things are changing, and it might have been a Foreigner ! ... like the balaclava and the weapon ! It WAS very Professional !!! What ever !!! ....
... Though as I say ... around here, professionals would probably NOT have shot the innocent Bystanders I think. .. Yes quite a different one here I think ? ... Unless he was on Drugs ? Ya Ba ? .... which is what I also think. ... Amphetamines.
whats this poster on?

This type of incident is quite rare in Thailand, that's why there are no bullet-proof windows like in most countries in the world.

I think many tourists in Thailand don't know about the "death roads" and certainly the white vans , Russian roulette when travelling

Why is it that so many products, in particular electronic or tech products (international brands) don't have manufacturers warranty for the standard 1 year when bought in Thailand. I have seen items that specify only a ' local warranty ". And guess that means it is in the country only. Do manufacturers not issue a standard warranty when they sell in Thailand for some reason ?

So true ! Most degree diploma teachers I've seen are pretty pathetic, unless have an education degree and some teacher training.

It is not their business, and no one cares, however, there would be people like security and jp taking note, with a few snickers likely related more to jeolousy than anything else. They are known to be busybodies and gossipers, but that is their problem. They do kind of keep tabs on visitors for some good reasons, too.
I'm sure you can bring your hookers to your little place ! But if I hear the grunting and groaning and other moronic noise through the walls I take action and I mean serious action

Seen traffic police wave on helmetless Thai mbike riders even with very young children ! Often the attitude is "poor locals with not much money "

Tradewar between China and USA , or Brexit, and euro football tournament etc. Couldn’t there be some issues responsible for slow tourism more nearby and fixable?
Always someone else's fault ! Never incompetent Thai lack of planning or ideas

The Russians are back. Seems busy most places. Maybe the bar scene on soi toothless is slow, but who cares. Those in $100 fan rooms should stop calling for the death of Thailand, and get their own house in order. The Economists will call you if they need you. ????
$100 fan rooms ? Someone needs to get something else in order

Unfortunately this is a case that has very little weight in Thai courts and in the justice system. They rather chose to call it a private problem between wife and husband. The court would probably see it more like the man have the right to react, while the woman belongs to the man she is married to and it´s his property to use as he wish.
However, it can never be right to make an attempt to, or, kill another person if it do not fall under self defense. The right thing for the man to do here, is either forgive his wife or walk away. (Ok, maybe mess the other guy up a little bit before he leaves and slap his wife.)Yes ! In a country where control of people is upheld by the courts rather than individual rights. A court allows a man to do what he wants with his female possession !
