Why Falls Become Dangerous After 60 — And What You Can Do About It
Around 10 years ago I tripped over a small piece of metal protruding from a paving stone. No damage done but I was surprised at how the shock wave went through my bones. Last year I tripped over a curb and my elbow bore the brunt. Broken. Two days in hospital for surgery and metal inserted. No insurance (my bad), and a bill of 232,000 baht. Other costs on top.

Foreign Nationals Lose ฿300m in Pattaya Gold Scam
This story was reported in the Thai Examiner on the 24th of January. The report alleges that victims were promised returns ranging from 181% to as high as 3,680 % PER ANNUM. An obvious Ponzi scheme.

The missus says that the CP Group is going to build some kind of large complex there. If that is the case, the traffic will be horrendous.

Woman found with cucumber in her rear
Decades back, a story of a woman who needed medical attention after a large carrot got stuck up her frontal cavity. she explained that she had been attending her vegetable patch in her garden when she lost her balance and the carrot entered her body . No knickers?? Medical staff were somewhat bemused because the carrot had already been peeled.

86 Airlines Apply for Thailand Flight Slots in 2026
I would like to see British Airways resume direct flights LHR to BKK, if only to maybe provide a little more price competition.

British Groom Denied Thailand Flight Over Damaged Passport
My thinking was that maybe you could have redistributed the loads before you got to the airport. I was unaware that you already knew the weights beforehand. It is absurd that your group was not allowed to pool your luggage allowance. Front line airport staff aside, its the petty minded aholes higher up that make these rules that really annoy me. I saw your baby milk post. What is the matter with them?

British Groom Denied Thailand Flight Over Damaged Passport
They got this wonderful new thing called the internet, check it out. So you would pass through immigration and then somehow access the immigration database to check?
-
British Groom Denied Thailand Flight Over Damaged Passport
How would you check that the immigration officer has given you the correct "permission to stay until" stamp?

British Groom Denied Thailand Flight Over Damaged Passport
Better to keep a passport in a plastic Ziplock type storage bag. Minimises the risk of water damage.

British Groom Denied Thailand Flight Over Damaged Passport
You can buy a small hand held digital scales to check the weight before you get to the airport. Especially useful if you are bringing back more than you went away with and are unsure of the weight.

How often do you go to the Pub?
Is that your typical night out...............? Nope. Nowadays any one of those three would probably kill me.
-
Is this a 1 or 5-minute argument?!
Maybe the first two letters are wrong.

How often do you go to the Pub?
...for a pint or a bit of fisty cuffs?? or both? Eric. You could uphold the fine British tradition of a skinful of booze, start a fight, then, win or lose, go for a curry.

POLL -- 2 kinds of pedestrians crossing busy roads at lights
Ive experienced that many times in the UK. Fair enough. The timing is anti pedestrian and dangerous.

POLL -- 2 kinds of pedestrians crossing busy roads at lights
The traffic lights phasing in Pattaya is poor and anti pedestrian. The worst I know of is the junction of Thepprasit road and Thappraya road. Someone waiting to cross Thepprasit road will eventually see a green light ( a man walking ) for pedestrians to cross. However, traffic coming down Thappraya road is still allowed to turn left into Thepprasit road despite a red light. People step out onto the crossing with the green light to cross and then find traffic haring around the corner coming from their right if crossing from the north side of Thepprasit. Halfwits in charge.

USA can deny your visa if you wish Harm on Americans News...
The "resort fee" supplement is absurd. It should be scrapped. It must be deeply unpopular. I went there in 98 and it was great value.

Eating dogs ,how cruel,
China and Korea maybe. There was a large pack of stray dogs hanging out on a piece of land just off the Thepprasit road. Then one day, they all just disappeared. I doubt that they went on holiday.
