Bumrungrud a couple of months ago. Told to eat very light the night before. Then went into the hospital at 8am for prep. They gave me a room (not inpatient, no bed, just a couple of chairs) with restroom attached and two huge bottles of laxative liquid to take. Which of course had me on the toilet every few mins. After the first few movements the nurse came in to take pics of my poop and was happy when it reached a desired coloration (I kid you not).

The op (colonoscopy and endoscopy) in the afternoon was after sedation so I felt nothing. In fact, woke up feeling incredibly fresh which made me appreciate why Michael Jackson liked to be knocked out by his doc each night.

Anyways, executive summary took half a day, painless though somewhat expensive.

Do you mind if I ask how much?

After taking the first 1 litre of the solution at 7pm I could not take the second one. It didnt take effect for an hour or longer with me. By 11pm I was sleeping and woke up at 5am for the second litre. My procedure was at 11am and I think the golden rule is not to take fluids 6 hours prior.

it was a horrible experience all round...  6 polyps found and out

I went a few times over the last few weeks.

Annoying that she always tried to sell some expensive dental work like implants etc.

Change clinics and find a dentist who is jai dee. Not so money orientated. We have friends who own a clinic in a big tourist city. One dentist working for them is really agressive with cross selling like you describe. The assistants dont like working with that dr. The only reason the boss will not get rid of him is because he does make so much money for the clinic. But they worry about their reputation of course.

  3. I've had an assessment appt for a colonoscopy in a private hospital and they gave me the 'Niflec' laxative and fact sheet in advance.

I don't know if I was having communication issues but the dr seemed to imply that I had 2 choices regarding the pre op preparation. 1. was to have final dinner at 4pm the day prior and then at 6pm take the niflec for 2 hours. Then from midnight onwards no food or liquids

    2. day before only have liquids. 7am morning of procedure take the nifec for 2 hours until 9am and then get the camera up the butt at 11am.

Im confused as to why there are 2 options. It seems that number 2 would be a lot better rather than feel nausea all night from option 1.  Am I missing something?

Finally, dr said that he would get injection for light sedation. Is this the same as general anesthetic. Can one opt to have nothing and just grin and bear it?

    thanks

I see your point, but what is unsafe about Kraken, for example, which is as safe as keeping your money in the bank. Kraken is a registered US bank.

Although my Polkadot has increased 1000% since last year, the extra 12% has been very nice.

Im not here to win an argument or anything. But I thought I would let you know that I try out staking a small amount of ethereum on kraken. Getting to the end of the 'validation' they made me click ok to a message (disclaimer) that by staking with them there are no guarantees. The message actually says that I could lose the funds (if ether 2.0 doesnt proceed). I was shocked to read this. But I proceeded anyway as it was just a small amount.

I rate Kraken highly  and have used them for yrs. But it does support my theory that staking your tokens is a fools game for a pissy return. You are not in control of your private keys when its locked up with an unknown entity.

6.5% for ETH and 12% for Stablecoins is not a small return. Buying and holding or buying and selling coins is only a small part of how people make money with crypto, although its true you dont want to get caught holding the bag during a selloff.

I would dump every asset I could find/liquidate/sell/scrape together and borrow and invest it in something that safely guarantees 12%, but thats totally impossible, so people take the gamble with crypto staking.

Get real mate. 12% is nothing when you take into account the HUGE returns on just holding either bitcoin or ethereum, for example, in a hardware wallet and selling yrs down the track. eg 500% returns in 1 yr in pure gains from price appreciation. Its madness to lockaway ANY crypto for such piddly returns 6.5 to 12%. Just think about this.... You can lose your money when its locked away!!!!

No, but I 100% thought I was going to lose it.  They locked me out of around $75k worth of bitcoin for 8 months while giving me the run around the whole time with verifications and demands and questions then not answering emails. Couldn't exchange, couldn't withdraw, couldn't do anything, just locked my account and wouldnt ever tell me why or what happened because of their "security protocols". Finally out of the blue they decided I was allowed to have my money and I took it out. I still have the bitcoin in storage and thats the extent of my crypto holdings. Way to risky to have any serious amount of money with these people.

At least with the stock market I can gamble with the same amount of risk and reward potential but on a platform thats insured and secure.

Actually, your advice applies to ALL exchanges. One would have to be barking mad to leave any crypto on an exchange.

Actually, on a related note, I cant believe all the investors staking their ethereum with various exchanges and companies. For such a small return with huge risk I think its really stupid. But personally Im glad that they have all done it as its causing a supply shock in the lead up to Ether 2 being released. Now because of this and the fact they are are burning ether on a daily basis (london hard fork) I think there will be a HUGE run up in price this yr up to feb next yr. Wait for all the investors to have access to their ethereum (unlocked) and see a huge sell off.

I've started using Bitmex who the wife is with. They have a fair few alts and seem to have a bit of "get up and go about them". I noticed when I visited Bangkok yesterday a lot of Bitmex advertising boards. You can also gain interest from their Z wallets.

Can one fund to and from a thai bank account using bitmex? Where is bitmex based?

so why ; If all done online, did'nt you buy a gold ETF like GLD?

ETF's are hard to sell in a market crash.

The perth mint guarantee to buy back your gold if there's no other buyers in the market (ie if there are liquidity issues). Its a solid organization backed by the WA govt. Sold my gold and they transferred all money to my thai bank account. Cant go wrong...

Why would you do that? Only bring as much as you need.

And why would she need to know about how much you have in the home country? You weren't bragging were you?

the money is over there doing nothing but being eaten away by inflation. I previously had it in gold at the perth mint but sold it after a 40% return. Now I dont know what to do with it

Our 5 year old sleeps in our bed with us. wife says she will grow out of it usually around puberty !!

Not exactly the most romantic thing in the world. Sofa is taking a real beating before bed.

I feel bad when I slip into their bed at 1am with my lube. Its a bit off putting with the kid on the other side of the bed. The wife said its ok as long as Ive had a shower.

Just as information. Here the family sleep together until the children leave home many times. It has to do with what step on the society ladder they belong to. The poorer and less educated they are, they tend to sleep together longer.

However, your situation is horrible. If it was me, I would just set her straight. I assume she do not have an income and get a fairly good life out of your money. There you have all the reason and explanation you need.

no. We have a business and she is the main breadwinner. All I can say is that the mother and child relationship is so strong. Im way down the pecking order
