After I said it to my guitar teacher, to check if he had time to give him lessons, he went and spoke to the mother, grandmother and aunt, and they all loved the idea, and they worked out the weekly lesson times. Then I bought the guitar and gave it to the teacher to give to the family.

This also happened when I bought my boyfriend a car. He smashed it into another car within 3 days.

The mother, aunt and grandmother said that was the reason.

I recently started to learn to play the guitar to keep my brain, fingers and hand-eye coordination going. I've been getting lessons and sometime sit and play out in my front yard. A boy from nearby, around 10 or 11 years old took an interest and started singing along to some songs from out on the road as I'd play. He tried playing the guitar but didn't know how. He lives with his mother and grandmother. After a few months my chords were getting better and so was his singing. Long story short I bought him an acoustic guitar, I gave it to my guitar teacher and told him to give it to him and go round to his place twice a week and give me the bill. The boy was really doing well. There was a funeral for his grandmother's sister at the weekend and the males showed up, maybe his father or uncles or whoever. They all just left yesterday and today, my guitar teacher came for my lesson this evening and said there is no bill this week for the boy's lessons. I asked why and he wouldn't really give me an answer. I went round to outside the kid's place and the grandmother brought out the smashed acoustic guitar, apparently the men smashed it up because it came from a farang, then left. The boy must be devastated. Did anybody else experience similar after giving a gift?

Expats angry at huge concessions in latest Thai visa announcements
JeffersLos replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The 10,000THB payment is one time only, that gives you a 5 year visa with border runs every 180 days? Or you have to pay 10,000THB every entry? If it is a one time fee of 10,000THB, and all you need to do is do a border bounce twice a year, it sounds like a much better deal than keeping 800,000THB locked in a Thai bank account etc.- 454 replies

Expats angry at huge concessions in latest Thai visa announcements

So, what's the deal in layman's terms, for those doing annual retirement extensions? Instead of keeping 800,000THB in the bank here (or using an income method), you get a visa for 10,000 that lasts 5 years, but you leave the country every 180 days? -

22 units per day would be around our max usuage. The install price of 160,000THB included all components (panels, batteries and all other materials, setup and installation? When or if the batteries run out of juice, for example at 4am with air conditioners runnings, it just automatically switches over to the PEA government electricity? Does it automatically switch back to solar once the sun is hitting the panels again?
