My neighbor's son just went back to school to start Prathom 6, his mother came over and asked if I could help him by going through some O Net exams papers some weekends because he has O Net exams at some point towards the end of the school year. Apparently they they have O Net after school classes for an hour every day, but that could be a translation error.
I have never heard of O Net exams before.
What are they?
What subjects are they tested in?
When is it?
What do the results mean or go towards? (their high school entrance for example)
I thought they did P6 exams at the end of P6 that sees them be accepted into high school, do they still do these too?
Thanks.

Going through registering with the Truemoney App as a non employed foreigner wasn't worth it the last time I looked.

Fair enough...but who's out & about at midnight without at least a few hundred pocket baht❓
Quite a lot of people nowadays.
ATMs are disappearing, we have none near us, not even at the 7-11 or gas station. We scan for everything everywhere..... except for at the 7. The only place we use cash is the 7. We take out 900thb whenever near a (rare) ATM, but if that's gone and we haven't been then it's a 6km round trip to the ATM. We live around 5km outside of a major city.

My wife and I are visiting our daughter and grandson in a different province than where she lives and where our marriage is registered, and my permission to stay is almost up. If we can avoid it we don’t want to travel back to her home province.
I did that 15 years ago.
The IO said cannot.
I said can, go check.
The IO checked, they could.

A minor issue when I moved in that I solved perfectly.
I moved into an area that the people living there had lived in for generations. My house and land is the biggest and best built. The house next door has 5 people spanning 3 generations living in 2 or 3 rooms.
They have work equipment etc at the side of their house, so had gotten used to coming into my driveway walking along and then turning into the back area of their house, instead of squeezing past their equipment.
When I moved in the grandmother asked politely if she can, which I said yes, no problem. Then her big lump of an adult daughter started barging onto my land everyday in the most disrespectful ways possible, never asked, never said hello, started pushing my stuff out of her way on my land, bringing out dirty clothes etc from the back and shaking the dust etc out of them on my driveway before walking back to theirs.
Obviously this was to stop. I could have put up a fence, built a wall and roofed off the whole section.
Instead, I got concrete hedge boxes and lined them up around a foot from the small dividing wall and put in hedges that makes coming onto my driveway pointless unless one wants to then climb through a hedge. But, I left the one foot of space between the dividing wall and hedges so they can use the foot of space to traverse their equipment if need be, especially for the grandmother. Greng jai. I solved it with a solution that was considerate of everyone. I see nice hedging, lose around a foot of land that I have no use or want for, and they have some space to get around to the back of their house, plus it showed I'm not to be disrespected just because I'm a new American that just moved into to their territory to be walked over by some racist middle aged bull woman.

It's great how the police can just confiscate houses and vehicles worth millions without any court order, simply because they say that they were bought with ill gotten money.

They won't allow it if married to the mother, they will insist you get a marriage extension instead. The reason is the seasoning of funds, it isn't needed for the child based extension, so those with families could use it as a backway into not having to season the 400k.
This caused issues for a friend whose wife was transferred overseas for a 2 year contract and the foreign husband and children stayed in Thailand. They refused to issue a child extension because he was still married to the mother, and refused a marriage extension because he was not living together with the wife.
In the end he had to pay for an agent in another province that got him a marriage extension in that province for a large fee.

To give poor and homeless people an opportunity to make a few baht and be able to afford some food.
It's very considerate of everyday folk to purposely and nobly leave their trash everywhere and anywhere in order to help the poor and less fortunate.

It is part of why I left the States.
24/7 bombardment of meds, health insurance and how to sue people everywhere you look everywhere you go.
If you don't take meds you will die!
You will lose everything if you step outside your house without health insurance!
Somebody looked at you? You can sue them! Contact a lawyer now!
My younger brother is on about 17 different meds a day that I doubt he even needs.

That is not my understanding. Usually, a trickle-charger is generally used when you are not going to use your car or boat or whatnot for an extended period.
Fair enough.

Your one isn't a trickle charger however if its left plugged in its not going to overcharge.
It charges up the battery, either by trickle or non-trickle.
Using it once or twice a week should keep the battery healthier and last longer, right?

The same as any other regional cuisine. Healthy if good ingredients are used, unhealthy if not.
Don't buy $1 street food in any country in the world if you want to eat healthily.
