Kawasaki and Pekky were where I took my big bikes. I had a local Thai guy for everything else, cheap, honest, quick, and skilled.

No, her father laughed and said there was no need to "buy his daughter" and that he had enough money. He said it was my duty to use my / our money to plan a good life together.

I understand what you mean, I went out partying til 3am in Bangkok the other night and no one was worried about the police or army, they were only worried about which clubs were still open. Very different atmosphere from CM.

Why should they feel guilty teaching when they constantly have to deal with unprofessional and unskilled (Masons, electricians, mechanics, builders, police, administrators, civil engineers, construction workers, city planners, et al)?
/If you can't recognize the tongue in cheek jest, don't respond.

My experience was that in two months I talked to over 100 women, it really increased my reading and writing ability in Thai (I wrote my profile in Thai). Out of all of these women only about 40% of them were from CM or somewhere close like Phayao. I ignored any girl who dressed waaay too revealing. Sure they look great, but if the bait is the exposed flesh, what's the trap? I met 6 girls total, 3 of them brought friends along for the first date. I didn't click with the first 5 but we have stayed friends and are in contact still. The last one was an off chance. We had been talking about traveling within the country and sharing pictures, she's 10 years younger than I am (32/22) so I wasn't planning on anything. We met when our other plans fell through 5 months back and it's been great. Met her family and they extremely nice and giving. They are well off enough and there will not be any sick buffalo.
I simply talked to girls about their interests and didn't spout off all that "You are so sexy" BS that so many guys post. Then I talked to them.
The scam artists ran when they knew I could speak Thai and read a bit, because I would be able to catch them. Actually talking to them for a bit showed which ones were genuinely interested.
I also had about a 50% reply rate.
As for people talking about "why the hell would you use a dating site, especially in Thailand?" Why not, it's not like I wasn't dating other girls I met around town, through friends, etc.
Though the only crazy Thai girl I have been with was met at a bar (Thai bar, not a girly bar)
And lastly I did what I felt like doing and tend not to care what people on the internet think.

If you want to teach and you obviously have the credentials. What you should be doing is contacting the international schools and looking for a position in your area. You would not only have a decent salary, ticket to Thailand, but also your visa. Further more the decent schools hire from abroad and even if the schools hire from within the country, they give better packages to those applying from abroad.

Does anyone have a definite Thai price on this hot ass bitch by now? She's gonna be a popular one over here, I can feel it!
If it's made here, and we can assume that it will be, it'll cost around the same as the Hypermotard. Price between 480k - 500k Baht. US price is nearly the same as well.
Looking at those pictures the white one looks the best. The red one is awesome too. Black is a little boring. Then again in real life these might look different - always hard to tell from photos.
In the US the 796 was 10,995 and this is thought to continue that pricing, so more around 370k in the US.

Will be buying a new bike in the next two weeks.
Since this will be in the US and I have learned to ride here, the first thing I am doing is an MSF with the option to complete my license test at the end.
I figure the best "mod" I can do is the "rider mod".

Sorry if some can't handle bluntness.
Base, crude and juvenile.
Not enough whores for us to be considered.why not chiang mai. things are very quite here. it will not be a problem to remove the curfew in chiang mai!
Funny and true. We were all thinking it, he said it. Although I think he forgot gambling and boozing. There, now we're all set.
As Gemini says, I feel it's quite true. Sure there are tons of Chinese, Russian, and other tourists. But a curfew at 12 doesn't stop them from going to beaches and sightseeing tours. They can still go out to bars from 9-12 as well. There are plenty of tourists in CM and many packed bars and clubs that really only Thais frequent. Khao Dan Road is another place. Perhaps its that they want BKK locked down and view CM as a red bastion. But Samui, Krabi, and other places are still affected. So lets look at Phuket and Pattaya and guess what activities are so important, that they need to happen between 12 and 4.

Let's stop the bitching and help find this guy a bike.
Btw, at Kawa they forgot to sign my maintenance manual at 18000km. Then one time they forgot to fill up my coolant and another time to change the spark plugs. I started to read the list off to them each service and had Pekky Superbikes do my oil. When it was time for 24000km Kawa told me to wait 3 weeks (not their fault). They need a lot more garages because they've sold a ton of bikes up here in CM....
BTW, Suzuki will let you test ride all their new 650's.

I sold my Ninja about an hour ago. I still say get a Ninja, more power, better brakes, and looks 1000x better. Honda's new 650 finally looks decent, but it's out of your price range. There are TONS of er6 series bikes for sale. Cm-club, dealfish, and mocyc.com are your friends!

Get the Kawa, especially since I'm 90% sure you're talking about mine!
More power, dual discs, better looks!
And yes it's a bit older and more KMs but I've been willing to pay the maintenance cost and replaced everything as suggested even if the mechanics said it could go a bit further. I hate the SE Asian mentality of "Why are you replacing that? It's not broken yet." Thats why their buses and trains keep crashing....

They probably saw mosquito larvae if the pool had not been chlorinated recently.

Have a friend who started to do this, younger guy too. I started to call him out on it. He knows it's stupid but he found it easier to talk English to Thais like this, but agrees it further lowers people's English abilty here. So he has started talking like a normal person again.
If it's someone else I just try to get out of earshot.

Or they could have gotten Apache Open Office for free....

Also, check out North Gate, and Small House, lots of 25-35yr old expats.
If you are interested in meeting Thais and can speak a bit of Thai, I feel that the Thais at Riverside and Goodview are quite friendly.

Just a 2011 but at 150k it's cheap haha.

the MSX125 rents for about 400B at Buddy internet. Be forewarned, the seat is uncomfortable as hell.

In the US ToysRus would carry them, have you checked the one in Promenada?

I Hate autos.
I don't like driving with my feet in front of me
I hate their small 14" wheels that make it feel unbalanced
I dislike the lag when you go to accelerate from a stop
I dislike being able to down shift to pass
But they are easier to load up with groceries or have space under the seat.
I hate the crappy suspension on them. They start rattling earlier and take bumps and potholes as good as my 94yr old grandmother...
Personally I agree that the Wave 125i is great, great gas, you can put a basket on it, it has larger tires, absorbs more of the road and in bangkok you don't have to worry about working the clutch all the time.
If you can an older carbed model any mechanic in the country can work on it for next to nothing.

Tried to find something to do last night. It was dead in CM. So I went to a friend's house til 1am and rode back. I'm such a rebel!

There is a FB group called Ninja and CBR Chiang Mai that a few people socialize and ride with.
looking for a cheap gaming laptop

I saw a guy selling his MSI gaming laptop on CM second hand FB group a few weeks back. It had good specs, probably would play 10-12 games on Ultra and the last two years on a mix of high settings.
