I have never paid a Thai "woman" a salary. I've never paid any woman a salary other than people that worked in my business.
It's much better to pay them piecemeal or per small job.

One problem that wasn't addressed is how we are supposed to know if a tm30 was even made in our behalf by a hotel or other places we may stay.
And what next? Pay their taxes for them in case they didn't pay them on-time?
Where does it end?

Immigration has completely lost the plot.
One has to have something to eventually lose it.

When I went to CW in June, there were at least 400 people who had been in line or were in line to file papers for their landlords and pay a fine.
Do the math. 800 X 400 X 285 days = 91,200,000 Baht.
91 million baht.
That says it all, and my 285 figure for weekdays was just a guess so it is probably higher.

The TM30 problem begs for an easy solution to so many problems caused.
- Can you expect your Thai house owner or landlord to have to waste 1/2 a day at immigration each time you travel 50km?
- Would you expect rents to increase (double pricing) to foreigners to cover this inconvenience?
- If you travel frequently, do you want to spend 1/2 a day at Immigration just tell them you came home?
No.
So what's the simple solution? Do it once a year before you apply for your extension and simply pay the fine. 800 baht is peanuts compared to my time and the landlord's time should I decide to go to Hua Hin for the weekend. Doing it online is a fine solution if it worked. Most here say it does not.
Pay the fine, consider it the cost of doing "business" so to speak, or just a tax on staying here. Your Grab or Taxi costs alone going to and from Immigration in Bangkok would rack up multiples of 800b over a year.

The answer is so simple. Pay her 1 baht rent. Make a contract.

The moral of this story is if immigration ever hold onto your passport and you have to return for it check your photo page!
And here I thought they all looked the same to us. Who knew?

This is by far, the most strange looking espresso maker I have ever seen.

I purchased a Saeco Odeo Go espresso machine in 2007. I still have it. It has required some maintenance and repair over the years, but it makes a damn good espresso when I want it.

Or all the 1178 helpline.
Oh, that's helpful. Not. I'm assuming you have never dialed this "helpline."
It has no business being called a "helpline" by anyone.

And there is no "seasoning" of baht if you apply for taking care of a Thai as in your child.

It seems that any thai who was lucky enough to land in a long term government job has a comfortable life in retirement.
Is that why I see so many police here driving Mercedes?

When I asked Fuji manager I was told the staff gets half of the 10 percent. You figure out who gets the other half.

Goodness only knows. The very nice but overworked IO who was doing my last extension asked me to draw a map, but did not seem at all interested in my very rough sketch once it was done. I think they've been instructed to do it by higher ups and are going through the motions, just like us.
It just occurred to me someone, and I didn't think of it yesterday, should draw a picture of a vagina with fallopian tubes. Put some street names on it and hand it in. I'm betting no one will notice.

Exactly what I experienced yesterday. I could have drawn a picture of pumpkin. She did not care.

Last year at BKK CW, the officer asked my wife in Thai for me to hand draw a map to our house. Instead, to her considerable surprise, I pulled out of my folder a printed Google Map page with our home and address marked on it. At least on that day with that officer, she was willing to accept that. Next time, who knows...
I wondered the same question myself. Someone else here at some point suggested it was to check whether applicants really knew where their home was supposed to be... I'm not so sure about that potential explanation. But other than that, I have no idea!!!
Over at the Queue for I (Intoxication) there were several cops applying field sobriety tests to anyone who wanted one.

What possible reason is there for Immigration asking for a hand drawn map?
Just one more leak in the boat, isn't it? A real rip in the sheets.

If you never ever got a TM-30, including when you first moved in, you might have a case. However, if you left the country or stayed in a hotel somewhere else and failed to notify the owner, you do not. The TM-30 issue(s) has been an all to frequent subject on TV. Some people heeded the warning and others did not but the warning was out there.
I never ever got one. I've been here almost 3 years.

So, in and out in about 3 hours even though you didn't have your paperwork in order. Nice they accepted your income letter from December. Nice they had a way set up for you to do the TM30 thing so you didn't need to make a second trip back to Immigration. Not sure what you are complaining about.
Perhaps you should read slower. Last year I was in and out in 25 minutes. My income letter was dated Dec 31st. The word extortion comes to mind, pay me or you don't get your extension. Who said my paperwork wasn't in order. Maybe you should read even more slowly. I had everything I needed.

House Master = tenant
Possessor = tenant
Owner = owner
I have seen many posts where immigration was satisfied with a copy of the rental agreement when copies of the owner's ID and house registration were not available.
Based on the number of people FINED yesterday X 800, I would say 360,000b in a day is a nice catch when you throw your net out for suckers with no choice. You can play with the words all you want, the numbers TRUMP you each and every time.

TM30 - How much is your time worth?

If anyone has sucessfully gotten a username and password perhaps they could share the username format in case it is a derivation of the email or of something else.
My guess, is that the system creates a username and password immediately. You're at the mercy of government workers to give you the information. It's a poorly designed application and poorly implemented.
What a surprise.
Thailand, Land of optional thinking.
