  1. Hi,

my motorbike tax is due this month and I want to do the renewal by myself.

Anyone has an idea where i can find one of these 60 baht check places in Silom/Sathon or around the DLT in Bang Chak?

    And second question:
For the tax renewal I just go to the DLT with the document from the motorbike check, greenbook and probably passport/workpermit, am i correct?
Anything i should pay attention? (make appointment?)

    Thanks ????

    4mbps is trash..

Finn Mobile has 699 baht/month unlimited data at FULL speed plus UNLIMITED regular calls.

Have had Finn Mobile for the last two years (I'm not on unlimited plan but I save 50% compared to my old AIS SIM) and cannot complain at all.

how is the coverage? never heard of this network

Are you planning to abuse the gofundme website? This is people who have problems not caused by their own stupidity like working and overstaying on a tourist visa.

This person you say needs help. Should take the consequences for his actions.

I just scrolled through some of those pages.

For me it seems like many people are abusing this websites for their self caused problems.

A lot of "had an accident and cant pay the treatment/ flight back home" auctions. If they had an appropriate insurance (which should be common sence), no one would have those problems. But yeah, better safe this 50€ so we can have 10 beers more ???? because this wont happen to us

    sorry for off topic

These packages are only available to DTAC SIMs activated before the 1st of March or AIS/Truemove H SIMs activated before the 1st of Feb.

Question, what exactly means "activated before"?

When I go to the shop?

What happens then with the unlimited packages sold in lazada? Because I also have to go to a shop and "activate" those SIMs

Could you try using your mobile phone as a hotspot. I live in the middle of nowhere and use a true internet unlimited package. I am able to watch all the usual sports channels and movies via mobdro and redbox, abeit with some buffering at peak times.

The extra advantage of using this method is that you have internet connection on your phone where ever you go.

You can DM me if you need help in setting things up.

I cant recommend this (apart from if there is a stream provider from your favorite television)

Netflix and all kind of "ususal" streaming is fine, but as soon is I want to watch a stream from my home television (via VLC player in HQ) its buffering all the time and its annoying.

If i watch with wifi in our office or in cafes, then its fine so the speed isnt fast enough (if you go for the 1/4/10 mbps package)

But if you`re ok with the common streaming platforms, then it should be ok

AIS seem to only have the unlimited for 1 Mbps. I moved to the True 4 Mbps 1 year unlimited that you can buy on Lazada for 1790 Baht. Works well so far. Just do a search on Lazada for it.

is it this one? how does it work with ID/passport check (what they do when you buy it in a shop)?

im thinking of switching from dtac to also true 4mbps/1year plan coz i have internet at my new condo from Sep onwards

  8. The general consensus seems to be to book a hotel. I'll give it a shot, I suppose. I just hope they don't put "from" and "to" dates on it, or I'll have some questions to answer when I go to immigration.

Thanks, all. Will still be on the lookout for some alternatives, though.
As far as I read (if I understand correctly) the immigration doesn't care if you're registered too late.
They just care if you are registered at all at the time you're doing your extention (or did I misunderstood?)
  9. Hi there,

my landlord registered himself to  the online thing and will forward me the login details as soon he has it.

So i have some questions for the excel sheet:

    1. Date of Issue: Its my passport i guess?

    2. Point of Entry: Airport BKK or fullname?

    3. TM No: is always TM No. 6? (as its the only tm form i have as departure card)

    4. Check out Date? Its ok if this is empty?

    5. And last: sould i continue this excel file everytime i register (so new row) or always just use the empty one?

btw there is also another tm30 form similar to the excel file (the last page) but this is not accepted?

    Thanks ????

I have WP from the one stop shop in Chuamjuree and I was infomed by the company lawyer that TM 30 is not needed. Hope the picture is readable

A bit late, but I just talked to my HR and they told me the same.

Because this TM30 thing was coming up among all foreign colleagues, I asked HR if its a big deal if im not registered for 5 days (Return to Thailand 5 days before i move to a new condo). They told me for BOI employees it is not necessary to do TM30 (maybe its done by the agency?)

  11.
Which plan do you use? I am currently on dtac prepaid 3 months unlimited data at 10mb/s costing around 1,500 THB. I am using around 120 GB per month.
Do you have a better choice with a newly registered sim card?
    Same, dtac with 10mbps.
But the price is now 1900/90days. (I renewed a month ago)

But I'm thinking of going for 1mbps and get internet for my condo coz football stream in HD is lagging from time to time

Sent from my Redmi Note 5 using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

  12. Im using only mobile data with following usage (most of the time as hotspot for my notebook):

    - netflix

    - twitch

    - tv streaming for football

    - surfing

every day for at least 3-4hrs, weekend for sure double of the time.

According to my phone, i need between 170-230GB/month (without big downloads)
