Your bank account has your pp # etc recorded.

If you renew a passport you need to contact bank to change the details bank has re your pp.

You would not be able to do counter transaction without updating details.

    Seems perfectly normal.

    You sound like them!

The only time I ever use a bank book is for Immigration on the annual extension. It's such a weird system and I have neer understood why Thais attach such mystic importance to it; likewise, when was the last time anyone actually did a "counter transaction"?

It's always best to carry a hard copy of the report with you as mobile devices can breakdown.

But who for? In almost 30 years I have never been required to show passport, EOS, 90-day, TM30 or any other doc - except when going to IO to renew same! Why do people get so wound up about this stuff?

I had to get a new bank book last week and that caused a row because the passport had changed since the bank last saw it. This concept of changing a passport always throws Thai businesses for some reason, as if they don't do the same; bank gets more hot under the collar than Immigration ever does.

Ned, Echoes et. all. were on an underwater mission to find something (a motorised oven if I recall) and didn't know the directions so they knocked on this oyster to ask for directions.

    Minn answered: 'H e l l OOo.'

Ned asked " hello, is Pearl in?".

    Reply: 'No I'm her mother'.

'Ahhhhh, you must be Mother of Pearl'. ????

Bluebottle: "he's fallen in the water!"

In December a mass cremation ceremony is held at Wat Latthiwan (Wat Kon Tan : วัดลัฎฐิวัน วัดขอนตาล) along the Ping River near Mae Rim.

.... and in the West they call them wildfires.

Some posters questioning the validity of the OP's enquiry. Why?

Only point I would make is that few outlets will want bodies of the age of most of these readers.

Not my experience last week.  We used one that was several weeks old at SP. it's hard to imagine it was missed, they were very very thorough...

Definitely got barked at for not having it 2 years ago and made sure last year, so Madam will go to amphoe (yes, another poster,ANY amphoe) tomorrow just before we trek to that godawful empty mall in mid-nowhere! Luck of the draw, isn't it.

Seems many on this thread can't see the difference between 22 and 2. It's the latter - or its update - we have been talking about.
