I wish to have my good health until the moment I die.

I find Airasia of today a good airline and I am pleased to enjoy their cheap fares in this part of Asia. I find no reason to complain about their rules as those are clear to me before I do my bookings.

Interesting article in today’s The Star, UK.

Being a "non-English" person I find it difficult to understand all these complains about spelling. As long as I understand what is said or written I am satisfied even if I enjoy perfect English. To me the meaning of what is written is far more important than the spelling. This does not mean I don’t like perfect English, but is not a must for posts here or articles in the Nation by Thai journalists.

Excess luggage is 165 baht per kilo. They do their best to collect it as well.

Thai Airways is one of those airlines whose tickets in Europe normally are cheaper to buy from certain travel agents. Their internet prices are most the time more expensive.

After having used SUV’s similar to Fortuner for ten years I bought a new Volvo Estate last year. It has so far lived up to my expectations and I am happy with the car. Speaking from an economical view I still find it too expansive compared to Fortuner or the new Pajero

To buy a house in Thailand means to me a cost – not an investment. Condominiums can be investments provided you are well aware of the local conditions here.

When Thailand had the problems in 1997 the 49% restriction was lifted for certain areas. If Thailand will face similar problems I think it can be temporarily lifted again. But at the moment we are not there yet and we have to be aware the majority of the Thai people oppose any change that gives foreigners the right to own land.
If it happens I think it is good not only to foreigners but to the Thais as well.

I started with an Apple back in 1984. Added 10MB to the original 1 MB and felt I would never run out of capacity. The money I spent on service might have been more than what I paid for the PC. But I loved it and stayed with the same brand for quite some years.
Interesting to see the majority here have used computers for more than 20 years. Would be interesting as well to see a simular poll regarding the age of the members on this forum - my guess is most are over 50, maybe even over 60.

I just returned from a trip to KL with Airasia. The aircraft was a new Airbus A320 and I am very happy with everything. I have used Airasia many times with only a few complains from their first year of operation. I like their concept and their growth seems to verify it works well.

Dynasty Inn at Soi 6 has had rooms with breakfast for 800 Baht net lately if you phone them direct. Walking distance to Bumrungrad - takes appr. 15-20 minutes. Have had friends staying there while visiting Bumrungrad daytime and they were happy with the hotel even if the prices at that time were higher.

How often are you supposed to renew the Japanese encephalitis vaccinations? I thought two injections protected you for life. But after reading "henryalleman" I realise I might be wrong

A written agreement is always good to have. It states what the seller and the buyer actually agreed to. The most important thing is it is easily understood by both parts. As said before German should be ok as it is the language of both the buyer and the seller and threat it as a “single piece of paper” only. Forget about having it 100% legal as it is not likely to be used in a Thai court - they hate disputes in between farangs anyways.
I fully agree it is important to have the change of ownership registered with the formalities it involves.

German should be ok as it easily understood by both of you. Just make sure he is the registered owner of the car which info can be found in the registration book.
No form is needed just write what you buy, how much you pay and make sure the seller gives you a receipt.
Pls notice you have to register the change of ownership with the vehicle registration office and a fee has to be paid.

It has been reported in various newspapers in Europe but no comments so far from the club.

Good post Mobi – it shows you care about those close to you. The good feeling you have is well deserved.

I think populist policies are a must in order to give Thailand a more united society. There is a real need to improve the living standard in the rural areas not only for the sake of getting their votes in the next election. I agree Thailand is likely to face economical difficulties 2009 but I hope the rich are prepared to accept it is in their own interest to contribute much more than the poor people. Wishful thinking – yeah, unfortunately it is!

(BangkokPost.com) - The People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) on Tuesday accepted the Airports of Thailand (AOT)'s demand to allow incoming flights to use Suvarnabhumi airport after the Constitution Court dissolved the People Power, Chart Thai and Matchimathipataya parties on charges of electoral fraud.
The first incoming flight to the international airport is expected to be within 24 hours.

This military parade is an annual event and has nothing with the ongoing problems to do.
Are There That Many Buyers In Hua Hin
in Hua Hin and Cha-Am

There are various ways to say it – but I think Taxexile has done it pretty well!
We are still in the beginning of a sick market situation and more bad news are likely to turn up for quite some time to come. One of the reasons we are not aware of difficulties to buyers is because they are spread out all over the world and hereby have difficulties in making themselves heard.
Longsighted I am pretty sure the house market will recover but not within the next few years.
