So is it possible for a foregner (Swedish) to apply for a visa at the embassy in Bangkok?
-
http://www.chinaconsulate.se/eng/lsqz/qz/t425157.htm <- Note 1 says that you have to apply in your native country. Could that really be true? I'll not be in Sweden during the time you have to apply to get a valid visa.

Sort it out with them BEFORE you fly. I had a change of passport and just contacted them and had then note the changes.
Did you contact them through e-mail (if so what is the address?) or did you call them?

Since we booked our trip with AirAsia we've gotten new passports and credit card. Do we have to bring the old ones to check in, our will a copy be ok or nothing at all?

No phone line yet so we have signed up to Satellite internet @ 2,500 THB per month - thankfully at that price we are not tied to any termed subscription
Who provides satellite internet? 2500 THB per month including the equipment needed or not?

Sorry for pushing such an old post, but are there any updates to this? I'm going to Jomtien (Soi Chayapruek) this summer and I would like to get online in the house.

I think I'll go with นักศึกษาัทันตแพทย์ when being formal and เรียนหมอฟัน colloquial.
Noone who feels skilled enough in Lao to give me a recommendation of how write it in Lao?
-
Is this correct นิสิตหมอฟัน? Or maybe the more formal ทะนตแพตย์? And in Lao?

Well, I get pretty tired of people speaking English who ruins our Swedish/Scandinavian words like "smörgåsbord", "ombudsman", "slalom", "window" (vindue), "sister" (syster), egg "ägg" and so forth.
Well, maybe the pronounciation of names should be a lot better, but words like the Internet and other contemporary phenomens will be incorporated into other languages and get a, for the new language, more natural pronounciation.

Anyone knows where I could find a copy of that book? By that I mean something to put in the shelves, not the online version. There are too many pages to print.

Anyone got information about the language schools along Chaiyapreuk Rd. at Jomtien beach?

My first thought was AUA, but when I contacted them they said that their classes were too few hours for being able to support an ED visa. Anyone who knows a school in Pattaya/Jomtien that have enough study hours?

If you have dual citizenship I expect you could use your Thai ID card to obtain drivers license.
I am sure a Thai birth certificate, Thai ID card or Thai passport would be accepted by Embassy for issue of a non immigrant visa but as said you should ask them.
I do have a Thai passport and a birth certificate from the Royal Thai Embassy of Sweden, but I'm not registered at all in Thailand as I'm not too keen to be conscripted into the Thai army. That gives I'm not registered in the house book and I do not have a Thai ID-card.

So far what I have seen family reunion visa requires marriage certificate or birth certificate.
I'm half thai and want to go to Thailand on a non-img visa. Could I apply for this family reunion visa?
I have dual citizenship but due to consular help etc I find it better entering Thailand as a Swedish citizen and because I want to get a Thai driver's licence I can not enter with a tourist visa.

I have a driver's licence for car from Sweden, which I know is pretty simple to transfer to a thai driver's licence, but I would like to get a motor cycle licence in Thailand as well.
How hard are the tests? Do you have to bring your own bike? Does the bike need to be automatic or manual geared?

Going with my girlfriend and her parents to Thailand this winter.
The two of us will stay in my parents' house and her parents will stay at a hotel.
My question is, can you recommend a hotel near Soi Chayapreuk, Jomtien at a cost of 500B-1000B a night during December/January?

Cheap bike wanted, preferably resembling a scooter, but everything is interesting if the price is right.
Please send me a picture, the price and some info. I will be in Jomtien 8 June and forward.
