Hi Guys
Tried to get my TIN at Chalong Revenue Office. Took all documents needed (well, had to go back a second time with extra docs!)
After 1/2 hour of answering questions and explaining things, the young lady tried to tell me I owed over 300k baht in tax!
I tried to explain again that I only wanted a TIN so I could get my tax return in order and ready to file but that was met with blank looks all around.
I thought you needed a TIN before you could file a tax return but I think she was trying to say they issue a TIN after they have received my tax return??
I was trying to avoid using an accountant as I have calculated my tax liability will be very low for 2024 but unless anyone has got any helpful ideas that might be my only option.
Cheers
