  1. Yes, that is correct. Separate Thai license for both car and motorbike 🍻
  2. Good luck 🍻
  3. Not sure I said any of that in my post?? But thanks anyway.
  4. Definitely RD incompetence. To try and get a TIN I showed her proof of two lump sums brought from offshore investment in to Thailand in the second half of 2024 and it looks like she just applied tax to those amounts despite the fact that I showed her only 20% of the total was 2024 income (investment profit). UK citizen but not sure that makes any difference. Trying to get a TIN because the hassle I had with this first company I disinvestment because I could not provide a TIN so thought it would be useful to have one for future disinvestments
  5. Was expecting this sort of comment from someone 😴. I need a TIN for offshore financial reasons, not because I am planning to give these Muppets a single baht of my money. But thanks for the useful contribution anyway - NOT
  6. Hi Guys Tried to get my TIN at Chalong Revenue Office. Took all documents needed (well, had to go back a second time with extra docs!) After 1/2 hour of answering questions and explaining things, the young lady tried to tell me I owed over 300k baht in tax! I tried to explain again that I only wanted a TIN so I could get my tax return in order and ready to file but that was met with blank looks all around. I thought you needed a TIN before you could file a tax return but I think she was trying to say they issue a TIN after they have received my tax return?? I was trying to avoid using an accountant as I have calculated my tax liability will be very low for 2024 but unless anyone has got any helpful ideas that might be my only option. Cheers
  7. Should have read it a bit more carefully 😱
  8. Sorry but did I miss something? “Tragically, Ryan was involved in a devastating accident this week and is now on life support in Thailand.” "Initial post-mortem examinations have pointed towards acute pulmonary cardiac failure as the cause of his untimely demise" 🤔
  9. That "error in judgement" puts all other road users in danger. It was selfish and incompetent riding for which he paid the ultimate price. Sad for his family but when I first saw the clip a couple of days ago I thought another moron on our roads with no consideration for anyone else. Would you be so sympathetic if he had taken out a woman with a young child on a bike along with himself?
  10. Is it true that they only count a fatality if the person is pronounced dead at the scene and do not count people who die in the ambulance on the way to hospital or subsequently at hospital from their injuries? Read that a few times in different places and am still struggling to believe it. 😱
  11. Per week yes, per month no thanks
  12. More "quality" tourists 🤣
  13. All my Malbecs seem to be the same prices as before. 😭
