The Princess Bride Pulp Fiction Armageddon A Christmas Story Top 4 for sure

I would go to BKK Speed (couple locations in Bangkok and try the Shoei there. Personally I was in the US and was checking out the Neotec 3, but it was just too heavy. I ended up with an RF1400. I don't think that is available here, but they have lots of good choices. Not sure if Shark is Snell or ECE rated, but that is an important consideration. You only have onehead.

Do you wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle in Thailand?

My wife rides her own PCX around our house, but I made sure to get a single seater big bike. No questions about who is on it. -
Do you wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle in Thailand?
smccolley replied to MalcolmB's topic in General Topics
Depends on the situation: 1. On my Wave in my soi - glasses, no helmet, shorts, flipflops 2. On my Wave running around pattaya - glasses, cheap helmet, shorts, flipflops 3. On my big bike running around pattaya - imported Shoei race helmet, jeans, riding gloves and shoes. 4. On my big bike touring - full riding gear even in the heat of summer. I guess I am lazy, I am not spending 20 minutes getting dressed to go to 7 and get a beer, but an all day ride I couldn't imagine not having all the gear on. -
British Man Collides With Pedestrian in Pattaya Big Bike Crash
smccolley replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
I have been riding bikes, from trail bikes to motocross to street bike to superbikes for 45 years before I got a big bike in Pattaya. My rules are: 1. Ride for the slide. It is gonna happen and I am old now and don't want to hurt more than required. 2. Don't ride at night, that is when the drunks come out (on foot, bike and car). 3. In town, take the Honda Wave, much easier to wiggle around and stop. 4. Drive at speeds similar to traffic, fast lane splitting or shoulder riding is a guaranteed accident. How simple is that?? -
Pattaya: Search For Culprit Who Muzzled 10 Dogs With Tape
smccolley replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
There is a group monitoring them and keep the spot they hang out under CCTV surveillance. They used to live in the villa but lost their house to gambling. They live in a shack at the end of Soi 12 now, but do "business" at the entrance to our villa. -
Pattaya: Search For Culprit Who Muzzled 10 Dogs With Tape

Well, the issue is they are trying to do it without the family being able to prove it, they are violent. The woman (mother of the kid that taped up the dogs and the woman who admitted to it) got into it with my wife and now we have to worry about the extended family. Luckily we know enough people that they haven't dared to directly attack my wife. -

Probably, they stick together. I just saw him yesterday riding down the soi, so he is still out and about. -

I know the guy who did it and he and his entire family are all entitled pricks. Who knows what his motives were but he, and other members of his family, do dick moves like this to people as well as animals. They abuse kids, women and animals equally. The neighborhood is trying to run them off. They probably did not assist in the investigation for fear of retribution, but they are well known. -
I am old enough to remember when the phone was in the house. I also remember when phones became portable and I used them while driving. I also remember when that became illegal and I stopped it. This century I have not answered a phone call or text while driving. Whoever calls can wait, I want to arrive in one piece. Multitasking is a BS excuse, traffic in Thailand is so erratic you have to pay attention to it 100%!

99-Year Land Lease To Foreigners Will Harm Thailand: Jatuporn
smccolley replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
My friends and family in Aus and NZ have seen housing prices skyrocket into the unattainable as Chinese investors buy up property all over those countries. I don't think this law is trying to target Westerners buying one house for themselves, it is trying to prevent China from taking over and driving Thais to homelessness and poverty. -
I have had that issue in my left eyelid while driving for the last few years, I just chalked it up to being an old f$%cker

I started having a similar issue recently. I started checking my BP in the morning and it is critically high, even though I am on BP medicine. I immediately got an appointment with my cardiologist and will get it under control.

Mine is big enough to make me happy, and I don't get any complaints, so that is enough. worrying about your junk is pretty self serving. There wlll always be millions of guys with bigger junk than you have, but you can't change it (safely) so just make your way thru life and with what you have and make sure you can please her some way so you are both happy

I attended an epic party yesterday in P-lok, slept/passed out for 12 hours and was pretty sure I would fail a breathalyzer the next morning... No police rules will fix stupid (like me yesterday). EDIT: I left the party at 5pm, so no need to make rules to stay open all night...

My wife told me that when they banned parking on the right side of beach road they told people to park in Central's parking. Not sure if it is true, but I have noticed an uptick of traffic in that parking lot.

I have lived here a while and travel a lot. Whenever someone says they are planning a trip to Thailand, the first thing I tell them is DON'T RENT A BIKE. If you are not an extremely experienced rider using a ton of common sense, just don't. I have 22 years riding a superbike before moving to Thailand and only by the grace of god I haven't had an accident in the 17 years I have been here.

My wife's friend and her English husband just went to The W hotel with their little dog, my wife said the pictures showed an excellent accommodation. I have stayed there once and it is an exceptional property.

Thai govt reaffirms ban on e-cigarettes, vaping
smccolley replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I wish it was that simple for me. As I have epilepsy, every time I have tried to quit smoking without an alternative I have serious seizure issues, Vaping has kept me from smoking and seizing. I consider it a win win. I promise I will vape far away from you. -

I might look like a tool but my smokers cough is gone and I have only had one cold in the 5 years I vaped compared to every year as a smoker. It has been helpful for me, no smoking for over 5 years now.
