Capitalism at work...
If it were communism they'd all be driving the same model bicycles and there would be no need for going out of business sales.????

They should done some research instead of making selfies with their new chevy and playing around on social media. Chevy's have very low resale value and a very extensive history of being unreliable in Thailand. It's no secret.

That all depends on who's writing the history books.????

Welcome to LOS (land of selfie) ???? Number 2 in the world is quite an accomplishment! I've often wondered if there is a correlation between time spent looking into a mobile device and lower average IQ scores. ????

No, in fact it's getting worse and the junta absolutely refuses to do anything about it. And it's not only BKK, it's 183 AQI 2.5 PM in Hua Hin as I write this! The locals sending their children off to school and exercising in the park in the late afternoon have no idea of what they are being subjected to. It's criminal really. Then there's the Coronavirus debacle... ????Thailand is finished in my humble opinion.

Was shocked to see Khamphaeng Phet register at 170++ AQI 2.5 PM!!
There's almost zero industry or construction in that province.
The extreme air pollution is due purely to burning the fields. Fortunately they don't burn rubber trees or palm so it's actually safe to breath in most of the south of Thailand.????

Interesting OP, considering that only 49% can be foreign owned , And OP suggesting market is dead because Chinese are not buying Does that mean 51% of thai also not buying ? So perhaps it’s not the virus but crappy local economy that’s the problem ?
I do believe they are allowed to buy condos.
Besides the wu virus, I believe the air pollution is having an big impact as they are very aware of the current situation in Thailand. It would be moronic to assume they would opt to leave one toxic and polluted environment to by a condo in an even more toxic and polluted environment. I believe the real estate market and tourism, with exception to Phuket, Krabi and anywhere south of Sarat Thani, will continue to decline until they clean up their act which I don't see happening any time soon! Right now in Hua Hin it's 173 AQI! ????

US, EU and other major countries have condemned the last coup too. And the coup before.
Did that change anything?
It most certainly has not worked in Cambodia. Thais are merely following the Cambodian model.

Much worse in surrounding cities. Hua Hin is a disaster zone. No action from "health Minister" and the locals are out there exercising in it, without a clue and as dumb as a sack of nails.

We’ve seen enough videos of Police in Thailand kicking people who don’t stop off their bikes.
In the US they would risk being shot dead. Unfortunately, the victim was not wearing a helmet and paid the ultimate price. However nobody seemed to notice. ????

It seems helmets are no longer required in Thailand.

Most certainly they are digging their hole deeper and deeper. Soon there may also be restrictions on travel from Thailand, then it's game over.

Other than the extreme air pollution and missing Chinese hordes, not much really. The sex tourists are going to keep coming regardless.

Show's their total and complete disdain for the Thai people. It's criminal what they've done to this once beautiful country!
