We already know they don't spend money in restaurants, thanks for confirming.
I was referring to hotel guest stay not eating choices which surpasses spending capabilities for a tourist. Thanks for reading

No we have a government in germany that doesn't steal our cash and no capital controls, that's called freedom. And that's why we use cash if we want.
True but in India there was and still billions of dollar worth undocumented money exist so that was reason for tight control. Most of the people affected were with so called black money which they cant keep at bank and draw freely.

These spending numbers are all fake, India got rid of cash so they have to use cards and atms.
Europeans etc bring cash here, none of that cash ends up in dubious TAT statistics.
You seem to be encouraging money laundering????
Seems so ignorant about ground facts. Asians now have more money to spend.

Well on a 30day tourist visa. That's only 1666 Baht per day hardly what I'd call a big spending tourist.
EU bagpackers spend merely 300-500 per day. Are they big spending tourist? Havent you seen at Siam expensive retail outlets filled with Indian and Thai buyers. Could hardly see a tourist farang. Yes there are expats farang

Go to Intercontinental, Novotel and many of those 5 & 4 star hotels around BKK then you will realise. Buy a beer worth THB300 which appears you cant afford.

I'm so glad I experienced tourism in Thailand when this wasn't the case.
Why? You feel superior to others?

Actually Europeans now dont have much money to spend so the Indian bashing is sheer jelousy. Some wrote pathetic comments. All the bagpackers are mainly Europeans. Buy 1 beer 1 person but sit on it for an hour or more. Then try to prey on bar girls, many end up marrying them.
So its just racist comments from many of these low level expats.

When Residence Permit is issued or renewed in the EU, a visit from the immigration is mandatory and its without any prior call.
So why so fuss on if now they started to physically verify?

Asians now have more money to spend with limited vacation days. This is ground reality. How many young Europeans could be seen in a 5 star hotel? Mainly retired people with large savings.
Now most of the 3, 4 & 5 star are with wealthy Asians and at the breakfast table the proportion is very clear.
So dont worry be happy????

How about the under age kids as small as maybe 12 yesrs, riding bikes in down town. Main point, he is not alone and one more kid behind. This happens in downtown BKK
-
Well this is your obligation to verify address and there nothing important about it to discuss much. One can see the false paperwork, overstay and crimes by all origin of foreigners so now it can be difficult to extend. Indeed its more difficult then a few years back.

Nearly all the bars in Soi Cowboy and Nana used to have "No Indians, No Arabs" signs on the entrance.
It certainly was a business decision back in the day, as none of the staff or customers wanted them in there.
Those were colonial times attitude. Now the spending power is with Chinese, Arabs and Indians. So Thai have learnt from their previous mistakes.

Plenty of filthy toilets left by the "quality West tourist" in hostels, my goodness, should have taken photos
-
All the bagpackers are majority Westerners, spend less and stay more. Buy 1 beer and sit on it for an hour or more

Singaporeans should have been consulted in this. They did not even took pressure of then the POTUS Bill Clinton for clamency and canned an American teenager in 90's.
Next morning front page was that fellow's butts bleeding to show "be careful to the public". They sent him back on first available flight after that punishment.
Today Spore is first world.

During Obama, constitution was used like a toilet paper. When lawyers like Obama and his team start to play with laws then we see in return a POTUS like Trump. He is likely to win second term regardless of the showdown by the very angry democrats.☑

Disturbing news and shame on some members making fun out of the situation.
I really dont understand on why many expats suddenly jump into a relationship. Hope this guy will find peace within himself.

Most of the raids in BKK since last year were on the tip of locals. At the same time police will not go to register a foreigner but locals can inform to check on new face in isolated communities.
ABNB Ekkamai rental raid of last month was also reported by occupantsnof same condo and charged a foreigner for not reporting.
Japanese guy or his family must have pissed someone really bad.

Restaurent owner seems to be real crazy person or too angry on his decision to open in isolated place. This is public parking and what Thai do to block it, has nothing to do with this. So he is also acting cheap or mean.

Questions:
1. Why do several Farangs marry uncultured or uneducted Thai women?
2. I have seen quite a lot and how they mentally get along?
Do they need a house keeper to wash, iron, clean and cook which usually a Western women will not do it all alone?
3. Retirement visa for less requirements? However, in this case the deceased seem to be a wealthy man
So sad story and may both the deceased soul rest in peace. Still we must think on above questions seriously.

Thanks for reply and I am more aware of actual history. Your comments are pathetic and it was not to civilized the thugees but the thugees went there to loot, steal, kill, rape and make 6 millions starve to death
