Wife and I have had several vacations apart and it has only given us a better awareness of each other. It works for us and April will be 39yrs of marriage. (ps) she is 12yrs younger than myself

We have used the Bangkok group hospital located in the center of town several times and are ashamed of the US hospitals since very UP to date and full service.

Go to the Market Hotel and ask for the owners Jake or his wife I am sure they can help you out, really nice folks.

Do a little research yourself, very easy too extend your present visa.................by yourself

The wife and myself both lived in Chantaburi for several years and enjoyed not only the local area but also the the great beach's which have not been spoiled yet by tourist, We found the city very friendly and much cheaper too live than the other places our rent on a two bedroom fenced yard with all the fruit trees ect. was only 5k per month. The best way to find a house or apt. is spend some time there looking for the area you like then start the search for you place. The hospitals in the area are also great and the yearly visa is very easy to get in the area as once again there are not many US,UK ect. folks living in the area so visa renewals take about 5min.....Both of us were on the OA visa to start with and was very easy to get out of Houston tx.......Enjoy the area it is Great

As per your headline, I had no problems at all with either a long term visa or finding a area and moving there . First thing I did was research , research and research, then I applied for a retirement visa while still in the US so really had two years to settle in before I needed too start getting paper work ready for extension except for 90day reports which were very easy.

The going rate for a nice house is around 4-6K per month.......Your best bet is to tour around and ask folks.
-
Your best bet is too spend some time there looking as most the for rental homes are just posted outside the house. If you speak Thai here's a phone # that may help. (039-418985 or 039-418984) Good luck

Closest Home Pro and Global, Rayong
Trat has a Bangkok Hospital though.
Actually closest Tesco is Trat with quite well substantiated rumours that a tesco express will be on the island soon

Criminal record check for Non-Imm O-A visa (Canada/Vancouver)
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

The O'A is great, no problems with entry and if worked right you end up with two years before applying for a extension.
