  1. It's called democracy and freedom. Far-right can be democratic, too
  2. How are they unchecked? They are all 60-day tourists and have no rights here and can be kicked out in a whim. They are only tolerated as long as they bring in money
  3. I know there are a lot of far-right Western supporters on this forum. So how do you feel about Thailand being so clearly far-right? Thai people first, immigration strictly limited, restrictive residency and citizenship laws, no support for migrants, asylum seekers etc. This must be a dream country for those complaining about the West going down the drain!
  4. They follow the far-right politics of the party
  5. I think that besides passports, only Thai licenses are accepted at Thai airports, or Thai ID cards. Otherwise you could've used your national ID card from your country too, but you can't
  6. They should send them money! So we full timers can bang them for free!
  7. Having a picture of your visa should be enough. Anyway they have everything in the system
  8. I did it many times with my previous license, no issues whatsoever
  9. Thanks, but that was one of the reasons for me to get a Thai driver's license, to use it for flying instead of passport
  10. Also, there is no nationality in the driver's license
  11. Well, it is an issue because it may cause confusion. When you present your driver's license say at an airport, how do they know what is your first name and last name?
  12. I just renewed my Thai driver's license in Pattaya and noticed something weird: my first name and last name are reversed. They said they used the names in the same order as in the resident certificate. Does anyone else have the last name placed before the first name?
  13. Not VERY different. Essentially it's the same. Any trouble with the law and you get kicked out of the country.
  14. You are, unless you have a permanent residence, which you most likely don't
  15. But Cambodia is more expensive overall. Everything is in hard dollars
  16. But Vietnam is so cheap bro, you can live on 600 usd a month bro
  17. I though you are a typical clueless farang who says he's not a tourist here while holding a non-immigrant visa at best. But if you are a rare exception with permanent residence, I take my words back
  18. Lemme tell ya something. You are same-same tourist hahaha. Unless you get a permanent residence which is impossible for you to do, let alone citizenship. You're not even considered an immigrant! At best, you have a NON-IMMIGRANT visa. Your rights in Thailand are the same as for any other 30-day tourist.
  19. Thank you my friend. The whole thread was created just for someone to point that out.
  20. Vietnam is getting a lot of hype now, 40% cheaper than Thailand, easy immigration rules, no problem with border runs or "staying too much", friendly and helpful locals, no fake smiles like in Thailand when they only want your money. Tourists are flocking to Vietnam and can't stop raving about how much they like it. So the question is: why are YOU still in Thailand, and not in Vietnam?
  21. Let them all go to Vietnam. Go! Go! We don't need you here
  22. I stick to diazepam But, you can buy it only at a clinic
