  1. Kids were just playing water. They don't need Songkran for that
  2. It's funny how they don't understand that a week-long water-throwing madness is actually bad for business.
  3. Oh my gawd. Russians routinely use crypto to exchange money from ruble into Thai baht, because Russian debit cards are blocked everywhere in the world. So they buy crypto for rubles first, and then exchange crypto to baht.
  4. What outrageous criminals! Exchanging bitcoins! They are a real threat to the safety of tourists!
  5. Don't worry, I already prepared a long rain coat and high rubber boots
  6. I'm not talking about official celebrations. In bar streets they start throwing water at passersby according to their own schedule and it lasts the whole week! It's always been like this, not just this year. I just don't know the actual date when they start this week-long madness.
  7. When do they start throwing water at passersby in bar streets like Soi Buakhao? I need to gear up haha I know there are official Songkran dates, but in bar areas they have their own rules, so first hand info from bar girls would be appreciated
  8. I don't wanna stick with them, but I don't have much choice. Yes, they offered me to open a fixed deposit account, but it can't be accessed via the app, which is useless... What I need is two regular savings accounts. Gonna ask some agents, maybe they can help with that
  9. To me too. I don't know, maybe it's a new regulation at Bangkok Bank? Or they simply lied to me... TiT, after all
  10. Both are savings accounts? You had to do this in different provinces, because they don't open a second account in the same province?
  11. You don't get it. One account just for savings, with restricted access, no debit card. The other one, with a smaller balance, for payments (debit card, online payments etc.)
  12. What about foreigners marrying ladyboys? Can they get a marriage visa?
  13. Isn't it covered by Medicare in oz?
  14. Pretty obvious - separating accounts for different purposes. Not to keep all eggs in one basket.
  15. Oh yeah, shifted from cash. 7-11 still don't accept credit cards for payments below 200 baht. That's what is called cashless society?
  16. I tried to open a second savings account with Bangkok Bank. Went to two branches, both said that one person can have only one savings account. I called the call center and they confirmed this. But it really doesn't make sense to me. Has anyone managed to open multiple savings accounts with Bangkok Bank?
  17. First, they charge a maintenance fee. When the balance drops to zero, they close the account.
