Rexiprocol agreements buddy. That's what governments do you know, look after their citizens when overseas. Any nationality in UK is given A&E free of any charges. Thailand wants it all and more. Bangkok hospital should be ashamed of their action. There's making money and ripping you off.

Absolutely correct Portugal is the no.1 place to be. Look at surveys by the professionals who deal with retirement. Thailand was safe and cheap but not any more. -

It's called "Building Regulations" and law. Compensation is already set by the governor which is not even enough to cremate the dead let yet alone compensate the families. God bless those who suffered and lost their lives for the sake of stupidity and ignorance. -
Central, north & north east UK can travel to Thailand via Dubai. Cuts out a hectic and expensive trip to Heathrow. BA are not stupid they will have done the research.

Let the train take the strain instead of flying out of Thailand
Archie Baker replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
My journey to Surat Thani from Hua Hin in overnight executive class was not an experience I would repeat again. I skipped my return and flew to Bangkok and took a taxi back to hua Hin. -

Digital = less people. They need to keep people employed at all costs always been the case always will be. Just look at the banking sector which has many similarities. It's a case of if you don't like it go somewhere else. -

Why worry about Thailand and Chinese control. 80% of Thais are Chinese anyway. I'd rather be a chink than a yank they say. -
Welcome to life in Thailand after the pandemic
Archie Baker replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Try wearing a mask with a hearing aid and spectacles. Thais put mask on when they leave home so you see them with mask and no helmet. If you understand Thais, they put it on so they won't forget to take it. Don't be so hypercritical about the Thai culture as a nation of inhernt risk takers, it not your life or country. -
Jail him, fine him, shoot it and government pays compensation and full medical costs for the poor baby until scares are gone both physical and mental. Years of treatment for her unfortunately. Known vicious breeds mandatory muzzles. 10k or a month, we're having a laff he will run off to the Wat & "wai aye" for a month and all will be we good.

Majority of ASEAN NOW expat viewers want to remain in Thailand
Archie Baker replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
24 years using thialand as a base and 79yo, so far too late to up sticks and move somewhere else. So Thailand it is, just got to trim the budget. Definitely NOT the the country of choice any more with prices on the rise, crime going crazy, formula 1 roads, exchange rates down 30% and price for medical treatment through the roof. The poor Thais are struggling to live the median are up to there eyes in debt. But ganga is going to save us all.- 142 replies

They tried that in Hua Hin but many people just drive through the red light if it's clear on their side. Just been through it this afternoon and 6 young Thais crossing the road had a green light but had to wait on cars going through the lights on red. Thais thinks cars always have right of way. Same as the kamakasi roundabouts, you take your chance.

If it's endemic gov stop paying. Not about anything else than saving money.
