  1. Immigration clearance can be done enroute to simplify travel. Security screening has been done before take off. Simplify the system don't make it buearatic and complicated. Use Elons "AI" if you wish but stop F2F screening it won't stop the criminals only slow down the honest holiday makers. I mean we are in the 19th century aren't we?
  2. Avoid two wheels and an ego. I know so many why have kicked it or have been mercy cases without insurance to cover the horrific injuries. Stop being a wishful dreamer and age cautiously. In the LOS (stupidity) God rest his sole
  3. À lot of farrangs I know drink beer in excess of the limit after playing golf or a night in town and drive home afterwards. Why be the hangman when we are all not angels. The Thai driver deserves punishment but so do many other crimes in thailand starting with Mountain B and the owners and the tessaban and local cops who all knew. Oh we have forgotten about that now since it's not news. Owner will get off free and pay a few bungs and everyone is happy. Stop brining your "in my country" attitude here and learn the Thai way.
  4. Assumptions. Who cares if a good driver had an accident when dui if he serves a purpose in the future. You obviously have not lived in Thailand for long so get real.
  5. I don't give two flying hoots what the Thais do and what they buy on the side of the road. In the sticks they have made lao khao for decades. I tried it 25 years ago when I first moved to Thailand, whacky stuff. They have been making cut ethanol with botanicals and colouring for years, bottling in branded bottles & selling it in many pubs and night clubs. Mix Thai whiskey with coke and hey man it's ok. Look around and see the extensive market for second hand alcohol bottles, huh! On the other side of the spectrum, you underestimate the potential for micro pubs and Thai entrepreneurs. Look at the gin market globally and you don't think the savvy Thais with a few bob will not capitalise? And what's more I can legally have my own still and make my own quality gin without fear at a tenth if the cost, just need a measly 300B licence courtesy of my wife of course and allowed to legally keep 200 litres, not much I know but enough.
  6. The big three will entertain and gift those that matter. He better watch out what he says in public and learn the rules.
  7. Do these people have brains. Pack up a house and still pay your taxes on an empty house to buy a flight and rent a short term villa for 40k a month and their pension on food just to help Thailands economy. Holiday packages for the elderly in Spain are inexpensive in the cold months. British pensioners have been doing it for years.
  8. Not legal in his own country yet alone Bangkok. Put him in the padwally amongst all the other nutters.
  9. What about all those people behind a pair of handle bars. Does the law apply to them?
  10. Sticks and stones won't break my bones but a big sharp knife and a hand gun will end children's life and your own if your crazy.
  11. Time to get the "toon army jarzie" on if its that hot.
  12. Not exactly sneaking into Thailand more like illegally smuggled by Thai nationals.
  13. What about the others who have had their flight cancelled. What has this bloke got others haven't?
  14. There is life outside of Bangkok. Thais are struggling to live never mind cope with covid. How about "Thai farmers struggling to buy desiel and chemicals to grow rice crops".
  15. Not that tight since Mountain B happened. How many more are under the carpet.
  16. And insurance to cover any person setting foot in the building, then the owner would not need to offer a pitiful 25k for a dead person. Not necessary or mandatory for running a business in Thailand.
