John, I had the same issue. My girlfriend was granted a single entry tourist visa in 2012. She was not an overstay, same documentation as provided in 2012 but had difficulty procuring another visa via Bangkok consulate when applying in 2017 and 2018. I spoke with a representative of the US Border and Customs protection and he stated that the consulate has quotas. Basically, luck of the draw. Girlfriend applied at the Vientiane, Laos consulate in 2019 and received a 10 year multi entry.

Thanks for information. Did she apply at U.S  consulate there with a Thai passport? Were you guys staying in Laos at the time , or did she go to website and apply and get interview date.

  2. I'm a U.S. citizen living here with my domestic partner for 5 1/2 years. She has tried to get a U.S. tourist visa 3 times so far and has been denied, in spite of  being the owner of a family restaurant with her daughter and son in law, owner of 2 homes, rice farm and plot of land. I'm debating on going to a  agent. Trip planning for spring next year. Any Ideas, or just keep trying the go it alone with the U.S. embassy route-  Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated-

My wife is the same Terry. I don't think the government are doing two shots of Sinovac anymore. I think it is all one shot Sinovac plus one shot Astra Zeneca for Thais. She won't get Pfizer at the moment but the government is buying a lot so maybe in the future?

What about Sinopharm? Chulabhorn have that.

Yes they're buying it for themselves, and students, while they give useless sinovac to the rest of their older population . San state of affairs

I will be getting married after  getting affidavit from Bangkok.

I will come into Thailand in the New Year, maybe Visa Exempt then looking for long term stay.

The Bank account seems to be the problem. Information from Bangkok Bank was.

    1. Passport 2. Letter from Embassy. 3. Pink i.d card.

Number 2 could be copy of passport certified which isn't a problem. But I don't think they will issue a letter of recommendation.

Try KTB, I opened one, and only had to bring letter from immigration plus passport and thai address

We all know that the US donated over a million Pfizer vaccines already which were supposed to go to front line workers as a booster due to the vaccine that it heavily invested in Sinovac not standing up to the Delta, however with clear scientific evidence showing it was only 13.8% effective to the Delta strain, Anutin was still ordering millions of doses, was that a misunderstanding.

Next month Thailand is going to be vaccinating kids with Pfizer ages 12-17, so 3 of our kids will get it, what about my wife who doesn't want Sinovac and without Sinovac as the 1st dose she can't get AZ. The kids are less susceptible to Covid so it doesn't make sense that they want to give it to them 1st, in my opinion, it should go to the rest of the population first and the kids last, this is what they had done around the world, but no, in Thailand we will give the good stuff to the kids and the s*it to the adults.

I really pray the day comes that when this government is ousted, that someone with balls goes after them, like they did with the Shinawatras and others, however not allowed to flee, because what Mr A and Mr P have done, is nothing short of murder in my opinion and should be held accountable.

No doubt if the day ever arrives, they will cry the same story as Joe Ferrari, I did it to protect the people, it was all a misunderstanding, yes that word again.

Bravo-   Need Thais to think and say the same-

There was a big expat Pfizer vaccination at the park on the lake vaccination hall the afternoon of 1st September.

The next vaccination is expected 4 weeks after that with no confirmed date as it all depends when Pfizer is issued from Bangkok.

I suggest you contact your local clinic/hospital and ask to be added on the next Pfizer list.

very good advice-  was think the same, just to be on the safe side-

    They aren’t “pushing it”

what do you even mean by that anyway.

They are using it because that’s all they had at one point. It’s the only vaccine they could order and get guaranteed delivery. It’s also shown to be effective on preventing serious illness and death

sorry, but they waited too late to order anything else. They went into talks with western vaccinens makers when delta started to take over Thailand. Too little too late. Healthcare workers now getting Pfizer because Chinese jabs not good against Delta. Follow the data .

Double mask, wash hands 10 times a day and stay away from people. I should be ok. Thank you. Stay safe also

Thought about going back to the states for shots. After figuring out airfair, staying with kids and friends for the time it would take to get double shots, and exchange rate ( thai back to u.s) decided to wait it out.
