  1. I have read here that some of you use it to clean internally or spray the water up and in and not just over to clean the surface. I don't know about you all. I wont drink tap water here.. and even have bottled water when I brush my teeth. The idea of spraying the water up and in sounds like a bad idea at best .. If you are one that uses it internally I would like your take on the safety factor.

  2. Water has been off and on for the past three days. Now we are informed that the water will be off the next 7 days while they work on the pipes. In the middle of a heat wave they are turning the water off.. and not only turning it off but keeping it off for the next week. We called up and complained and the person that talked to us said what could she do all she does is answer the phones and no one else was there to talk to us.

TIT.... this one is a hard to deal with... I don't bother getting angry anymore though... otherwise my blood pressure would be sky high.

  3. Fix the burning and rapid development with little or no thought to infrastructure and Chiang Mai would be my favorite place. The air is so bad now I just cant talk about anything else. Thank God for ionizers and air filters.

  4. Too bad it didn't happen~

it isnt clear blue skies but its remarkably better :D

Weather bureau issued warning for upper Thailand that tropical storm could bring rain and strong wind Mar.25-28

I am still waiting for this...... :)

  5. Strange but the smell is still of smoke here in Hang Dong or at least where I am and its still raining.. maybe the crap that was in the air is now on the ground. Hope to smell that sweet ozone soon.

  6. Its amazing but it seems that Ben 10 clothing is on every kid I see these days. My daughter too.. she is two years 9 months old and she is done with Donald Duck and only wants Ben 10. Which is strange to say the least as she is afraid of the TV show (doesn't like the monsters). The bright colors and the fact that she has so many friends that are wearing them seems to be enough. At 700-1000 baht for some of these shirts and pants its an expensive clothing line, unlike Donald Duck which is knocked off everywhere so you can get some inexpensive versions.

  7. I hope we get more in Hang Dong... its been vile. I am not sure how much we got out here so far... would love to see blue skies tomorrow.

  8. Its nice not to hear its our imagination as I always seem to get from the hard line "Chiang Mai is wonderful guys" Staying inside next to my ionizer and air con. Nasty stuff out there!

If your thinking about visiting here now.. well I guess thats not going to happen... Bangkok and the reds shirts, Chiang Mai and its burning.

  9. 20k is fine if she lives with others... family... and if she is not in bangkok... Chiang Mai... or out of town... if she was getting 30k then 20k will be harder to live off of .... Then there is school.. etc... don't listen to the bitter old dogs ... If you feel your being taken advantage of ... then you probably are. IF you feel she is real... understand.. this country makes slaves out of the common person.. and I dont want someone I love living like a slave... I am sure you are the same way.

    Do what feels right...

  10. There are good knock offs and bad ones. You have to do your work. If you buy a real iphone you never have to think about it .. with a knock off always. There are ones that have no wifi but there are ones with good wifi.. I have been impressed with the knock offs. The only thing I had a problem with was a Nokia N95 knock off touch screen broke when my daughter dropped it. There was no fixing it because no one had the parts. But if you are getting something so cheaply this is the breaks so to speak. It still worked with a cracked screen so we gave it to a family member.

  11. Internet cafe Better?... sure but not what the op asked. Also I must be the lucky one, I have been here for close to 10 years and I have only run into two phones that didn't work. True I haven't tried that many but was always able to find one that worked and wasn't greasy when I needed one.. That being said with the flu on the rise... purex should be used after talking on one.

  12. Thai payphones are spiteful and vindictive. I've never won an argument with one yet. Go to an internet cafe and make your call from there. A lot safer and less stressful. :)

You can make a call to anywhere in thailand for 1 baht .. you may only get 15 seconds before your cut off.. but its handy if you are in an emergency situation.

  13. In the Chinese market area next to the flower marts.... there is a bunch of hat manufactures and resellers.. I picked up two hats one in grey and one in dark grey for 100 baht each same as the picture. Good deal really. They will go down to 90 baht but no lower... I picked two up for my little daughter as well as they have kids sizes too. Sorry I cant be more descriptive about the location but its close to the river.

  14. Deal is gone... now its 13,400 baht

My suggestions, as mentioned above, (I wanted a Haier too because I have one and it's been perfect for over a year) is to go to HomePro and get a Samsung AS10 for only 11,900 installed. That is what I paid for my Haier. This is a sales price so I don't know how long it will last. The A/C is in the back of the store where the A/Cs are (they have a big display in the front of the store but this particular unit is not there). I would have bought a Haier but they don't carry them but then I found the Samsung for the same price so I went with it.

But I suggest you hurry before they run out or sale finishes.

    Good luck.

Also, free installation. Which I think is amazing because the going rate to transfer an A/C is about 2,500 baht. The guys were here for over an hour and did a very professional job so it makes the 11,900 price seem all that sweeter.
