It is van Gogh. G at the end, not pronounced like in clog.

Looks like online is out of service. CW was very crowded when I also had to go. Go early.

Déjà vu. Next month back on this site.

It has been noted by me and many others that the whole 90-days online reporting seemt not to be working. Looks like the pre-school son of the responsible official who takes care of this is on holiday.

Surprise surprise! Even with half a brain you'd stay away from it.

Definitely sounds very interesting, especially since I have a small post office in the neighborhood. 😊👍Which documents need to be sent and which form of delivery do you choose? (registered mail?)
I used the mailing option a few times, but once I didn't get a reply for more than six weeks and start to get uncomfortable. No chance of clearing anything by phone, so I went to the office where they said everything was OK and handed me a slip.... So this way also has it's flaws. Which documents can easily be found on the website, absolutely use registered mail and have "90 days" in the first address line, since that is what appears on the receipt of the post office as a proof of your mailing. Enclose a stamped addressed envelope.

I had the same thing. Had to go to CW and got an "explanation" that made no sense. The place was crowded. My conclusion and that of many here was that the system is just down.

Although I don't see education of adults as my mission in life I do politely ask noise makers if they can please use ear buds or a headphone or turn down the volume. It usually works, but I understand that depends on the location. Same goes for vaping, I see that as a similar problem.

According to your post, you waited too long to try and report online, the place was a LOT more crowded than usual, there were some 400 people ahead of you and you went an hour before lunch BUT, in the end, 1 of the officers seeing you were an elderly gentleman pulled you into his cubicle to take care of you personally.
Then you claim it felt like you were being harassed and thought YOU should have been treated better than all others doing the exact same thing because you support a Thai family. You sir, have strange (one-sided) principles.
Perhaps next time you should arrange to be carried in on a hand chariot with fair maidens tossing rose petals as the sea of humanity parts, genuflecting before you?
I don't think you understand the gist of my post. Discussion closed.

Great post right up until the last line of pure arrogance.
Thailand/Gross domestic product
495.4 billion USD (2022)
Just give us a ballpark guess as to what percentage of the GDP YOU'VE brought in please.
Also, how many of Thailand's 71.1 million population (of which YOU don't account for) support "complete families"? Most of the Thai families I know support their parents as well as their children. Do you?
You don't want to do 90 day reports anymore, just pry open your personal safe and get an elite visa.
It's not about the quantity, I did not state that and there are plenty of families that are supported by a farang. It's the principle.

According to the red stamp on my previous notification my next 90 days was due on April 8th. I did the report online. To my surprise I received an email the next day that it was rejected. This had happened twice before. The first time was because I re-entered the country, this is how it was explained to me at CW, the second time because I had a new passport. So this time everything seemed in place for an online report. I drove off to CW where I got my queue ticket at 10:43 a.m. At that time there were 387 in the queue before me. The place was crowded like I had never seen before. Maybe because of the upcoming holidays and the past day off. So I waited and waited but I was assured that I would be taken care of the same day. Around 4:30 p.m. the counter started to speed up without more people being served. A long queue line formed. Suddenly I was tapped on the shoulder by an officer who summoned me into a cubicle together with another elderly farang with grey hair. Here I was quickly served. The explanation for not being able to report online was that “ON” should be read as “BEFORE”. My personal explanation is that their online system was once again messed up and that this was the main reason for the crowd. This was confirmed by some others in the queue who also could not do their report online. This whole 90 days business is an annoying nuisance. But in this case it felt more like harassment. I am probably not the only one who feels that a little more gratitude and respect for those who bring money into the country and often support complete families is due.

Presumably the effects have been positive. Wouldnt it be a good idea to list the good that selling weed has achieved?
Looks like nobody can think of any....

I totally agree with the OP. Vaping is the new plague. After having gotten rid of second hand smoke we now have to fight a (uphill I am afraid) battle against these vapes. And yes, vaping inside is totally anti-social and inconsiderate.

The rules about where you may or may not smoke are impossible to enforce. There are streets where you can smoke on one side but not on the other because of the vicinity rules. I can imagine that police have better things to do than walk around with a measuring tape. Also non-Germans cannot join these cannabis clubs, which is in violation of EU agreements. Good luck with this new law.

The vast majority of Russians I have met, seem to have very, very few redeeming qualities. It is no wonder. I can only speak from my experience. Have run into alot of Russians both in the US, and on Phuket and Samui, 98% of them seem to be grumpy, unfriendly and gruff. Some of them are downright hostile. Likely a reflection of a very, very rough culture and environment. So, perhaps it is not a coincidence that the world is not standing up to support them and show them kindness? Just an observation.
I think it is a reflection of the current culture. It was destroyed over a century of callous and murderous leadership. Stalin, Lenin, Khruschev, now Putin. They have become somewhat savage and crude. No grace, no finesse, no courtesy. Rather uncivilized. My family was from Russia a few generations back. I used to ask my great-grandmother when she was still around, why they didn't teach us anything about the old country. She would give me this look, and tell me "the reason we never teach you about the place we came from, is because the place we came from was the most horrific country on earth, it was the most destitute, horrible, oppressive place and we were thrilled to finally get out of there and leave it behind. That's why we don't teach you about the old country, the old country doesn't exist for us.
There are a multitude of reasons why very few around the world have sympathy for the Russians. Those reasons are not limited to their serial killing, despot, thieving multi billionaire dictator for life. It is more about their nature, their history as ruthless, homicidal Cossack warriors, and their total lack of manners, and class. Not to mention the dignity, class, decency, civility, and social skills decades of Leninism, Stalinism, and now Putinism has stripped them of.
It seems like a lot of impressions are very biased. I have been to Russia quite a bit, can speak the language and have met many of them. My impression has always been of friendly, hospitable and warm-hearted people with a big interest in their rich culture of art, literature and music. They do have a harsh history, but many have ways of coping. I think the Russians who we meet in tourist areas are a different breed. The same goes for other nationalities.

No,did mine on line 90days after returning,no problem
I think I did too, so that's why I just went online. And got rejected. It seems the rule is not applied consistently (no surprise!) but the officer at CW was very clear about it when I asked why I had to come in person.

I came back from Italy Jan2nd tried online report last week 2 times, but without success.Last monday I went to immigration Sriracha to do my 90days report in person and asked why it didn't work online for me,
Answer was"Everytime you leave Thailand and re enter you need to come to immigration and do your report here after that online reporting will work normal"
I guess immigration offices make up their own rules
This is exactly what happened to me. It seems to be a general rule, I even found it on the internet somewhere.

It happened to me twice: 1. I entered Thailand from Europe again. 2. I got a new passport.

Turning off A/C for an hour saves a lot more energy than switching off the lights even for many hours.

Hope it works. It would be nice to have a decent taxi service. Tuk-tuks are vile and dirty and should be scrapped immediately. They are not in any way picturesque, they are simply uncomnfoprtalber dangerous and smelly driven by mad men.
Raise the fares in regular air-conditioned taxis, taxi drivers deserve a fairer deal for doing a tough job, but jail any driver who doesn't use a meter or has tampered with it. What I would like to see is the meter wired into the ignition, so that if the meter isn't running the ignition doesn't work, (but of course you would also need sensors in all the seats to ensure there were no passengers, and then the ignition would work without the meter.
Agree on all qualifications, but you forgot loud, too loud, unnecessary loud.

There is the official K-ETA website from the government, that I was referring to, but a search will also lead you to official looking sites, which they are not. So beware.
This seems to be the official website: https://www.k-eta.go.kr/portal/apply/index.do
