Ducks?
FYI:
Quackery, often synonymous with health fraud, is the promotion[1] of fraudulent or ignorant medical practices. A quack is a "fraudulent or ignorant pretender to medical skill" or "a person who pretends, professionally or publicly, to have skill, knowledge, qualification or credentials they do not possess; a charlatan or snake oil salesman".[2] The term quack is a clipped form of the archaic term quacksalver, from Dutch: kwakzalver a "hawker of salve".[3] In the Middle Ages the term quack meant "shouting". The quacksalvers sold their wares at markets by shouting to gain attention.[4]
Common elements of general quackery include questionable diagnoses using questionable diagnostic tests, as well as untested or refuted treatments, especially for serious diseases such as cancer. Quackery is often described as "health fraud" with the salient characteristic of aggressive promotion.[1]

I have the following experience after the passing away of a Dutchman in Thailand, living with a partner but not married. He collapsed and was taken to hospital. The police was involved, as is often the case when a farang is involved to rule out non-natural causes of death. The body was taken to a University hospital. At that point you can either agree to an autopsy or refuse it. In case of suspicion of course an autopsy will be mandatory. Then a death certificate is issued by the district office, in Thai. If a translation is needed for legal purposes, e.g. inheritance, there are many offices (Trendy in Sukhumvit soi 13 has them) that will provide a translation and legalisation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The latter is not so easy if you have to do this yourself. It cost 2000 baht. Then for use outside of Thailand it needs to be legalized by the appropriate embassy. But all this is only necessary if matters are to be settled outside of Thailand.

Beware of jet ski's unless you like the noise. Just come back from a hotel that was always quiet but is now spoilt because of the constant noise.

As far as I know what they play in the cinema is not the national anthem but the special king song.

Nobody wants to be in a photo with a mass murderer or sit at the same table. Even those who do not openly condemn him.

Limoncello in soi 11 and Bella Napoli in soi 31 have good Italian food.
As for music: Country Roads (fun place) and Penny Black have good bands, both at the Asok side of Soi Cowboy. BarSu (Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit) will re-open on 11.11. Apoteka (soi 11) will re-open under another name on 16.11. Shenanigans in Silom, Patpong, has great bands on Wednesday and Fridays (Beatles).

It’s really strange that Amsterdam it’s been legal for so many years I can’t even remember and you never hear anything about a hospitalization in the countries of some goofy amount only in Thailand do you hear statistic numbers like this and many states in America is the goal you don’t hear hospitalization is up due to it just doesn’t all add up to me but then again TIT
Small correction: in Amsterdam it is not legal but it is "tolerated" as long as it is sold in designated shops and no more than 5 grams per day per person are being sold. So, the shops can sell at the front door but acquiring their stock at the backdoor is illegal. This is a situation that has been for many years and which is impossible to explain to anyone. It means that basically criminals control the production and getting it into the shops. But this weird situation has led to the situation being a little bit better controlled and took the trade off the streets. Now there are places where e.g. drugs are no longer sold to tourists but only to inhabitants. The government is struggling with the whole situation.
Thailand made a brilliant decision to allow cannabis virtually everywhere so teenagers can relieve their toothache with the appropriate medicine, because I don't think anyone would use it recreationally, since that is not allowed.

So lets put this into perspective, the low end of your ridiculous figures are higher than average wage in US, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan etc.
Can only presume you mean yearly, not monthly, or you happen to hang out with CEOs of large companies, and brain surgeons.
Income of brain surgeons is overrated here.

Please let all the smug non-vaxers realize that they got away with it thanks to all the others with more brain, more common sense and more feeling of responsibility to get the vaccination and provide for herd immunity and reduce the chances for the virus to spread. If no one had been vaccinated there would have been an immense world wide disaster.

Yes, and no need to make a reservation. I was there two weeks ago around lunch time and my wife yesterday. I had the reservation but no one looked at it. A long row of empty chairs, sit down and before you know you have the jab. Just fill out a permission form beforehand. Wait 30 minutes after, get your certificate and you're done. Highly recommended, grab your chance. As far as I know just this month, but then again it has been extended before.

"Hence my advice to high-risk persons is to get a booster after six months." - I thought it was 4 months (eg Hua Hin Hospital, amongst other medical groups, guidelines when I received a booster last month)?
It can be after 4 months but certainly be serious about it at six.

What part of your body is that? If it is what I think maybe you should go to and STD clinic.
I have no idea what you are talking about and also don't know what an STD clinic is.

On the streets in Bangkok most non-Thais don't wear masks, like me. Thais are obsessed with them. Explain to me the science behind sitting in a restaurant, eating, talking ad drinking without a mask and then going out on the street after putting a mask on. And there is more nonsense around. Of course any authoritarian government has an interest in keeping its citizens scared. Prolongation of the emergency situation for instance. And I would not be surprised if many officials have shares in companies that produce face masks. I don't see them disappearing soon, like in the rest of the world. And of course on a motorbike they offer better protection than an uncomfortable helmet.

I have recently started to use SayHi and find it excellent. To which extent it uses Google I don't know, but it has never misunderstood me so far and the translation seems to be quite OK.
