  1. This is still an issue? Maybe you Brits should start worrying and commenting on your own country rather pretending to be experts on Yankeeland and Thailand.

One thing Brexit amply demonstrates is the complete inability of Britain to come to any sort of resolve, to do anything meaningful, aside from endlessly bickering among themselves. And meanwhile the tax-paying Brit does nothing, says nothing, demands nothing. Much easier to bitch endlessly about Thai Immigration.

What do you suggest? A free upgrade to a double-wide?

No, rampant diversity hires and affirmative action mandates, with zero regard for matters of personal and individual merit, regardless of sex or race, which have persisted since the 1960's in America--it would be nice to see that stopped. No need to upgrade white trash from single-wides to double-wides. I don't hear the "white-trash" in America asking for special treatment or reaching out their hand for alms by any other name.

    LOL.

Those vandals and hooligans are not trying to bring about a better world- all they want to do is riot and break things.

Without "order" society breaks down and everyone gets hurt.

You go Donald, give the thugs a message even they understand.

"A message even they understand"--the only message they can understand, which is a commensurate use of force. They only understand force, therefore give them force. The only question is when the right-wing will understand this and oblige them.

  4. People on the Right, or even disillusioned people on the Left, or the civil libertarians, need to abandon this silly and sanguine notion that the radical Left can be "reasoned" with. All they care about is power-dynamics. They don't care about such lofty concepts as intellectual honesty, consistency of thought, argumentation, or even a juvenile's innate disdain for hypocrisy. Ergo, zero possibility of reasoning with such mentalities. Even less of appeasing them or--seriously?--reconciling with them. There's no meeting of the minds here. There's only the question as to when the opposition is going to allow itself the same freedom to exert their "might is right" against the Left. And that is what they absolutely should, but are unwilling, to do. Power against power. And the Left loses scarcely before the battle has begun. But at some point the Anti-Left will lose its patience, realize that any attempt at reconciliation is futile, and always was, and will shrug off its restraints and welcome the Left on the battlefield. And that will not be a good day for the Left.

Have you heard of the phrase “those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it”. The statues are a reminder of the past and a powerful symbols of tragic and brutal events. It should not be around as symbols that give psychological sustenance and succor to white supremacists. It help normalized the ideology of these groups.

So your suggestion, so that we do not forget the past, is to efface all these historical monuments--the only purpose of which is to validate "white supremacy"? Much better to erase history, or re-write it, than actually to confront it. Get rid of it entirely from the history books, and somehow we're NOT going to repeat history? Why not just support the burning of books by the same logic?

Hmmm... so electing Trump again will keep the extremist right wing drongos in check?.. is that what you are saying?

You mean like the extremist left wing drongos--the F is a drongo, i'm assuming it's something negative ???? and no, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that when the radical left wing becomes mainstream don't be surprised when the radical right rears its ugly head. Biden has nothing to do with it. You race-baiting hypocrites, a lot more, I'd say.

We might need the military to oust Biden from his basement at this rate. I lost count, what is it day 75 or 76 now? Hardly a show of charisma and strength is it?

The democratic strategy par excellence.  Become the Anti-Trump Party, develop no ideological foundation of your own--beg, borrow and steal from the hysterical fringe--back a wishy-washy careerist demagogue--and hope that endless race-baiting and appeals to emotionalism can get you through the day.

You mean like in 2016? I wouldn't get too cocky yet unless you want to look like a complete horse's @ss in 2020. That being said, let's say you succeed in ousting the dreaded Orange Man. Congratulations, you just gave birth to a new wave of radical right-wing extremism. You got a doddering old careerist geezer, a virulent ethno-centric ideological base--congratulations on that, by the way--and an extremist right-wing element that is just chomping at the bit to be unleashed.

Tell me Boris, how many terrible events need to take place before you finally understand the lesson?  IMHO, one of the biggest mistakes that is made in the UK, is that so-called Human Rights are upheld.  Britain sticks to the letter of the Law, and is metaphorically 'shafted' as a result by economic migrants, muslim extremists, corrupt, third-world (and first-world EU) governments misusing aid monies etc.

The problem is not with immigrants and foreign extremists. The problem is with the American and British citizenry that supports them. Almost exclusively with the economic elite. You're not going to find too many working class Brits or Yanks that support this. You're going to find instead the financial elite from New York City and LA in America, and London in the UK, that indulge in this sort of apologetics.

  10. How about you Brits that said f-all when Yankee statues were being defaced, let alone neighborhoods being burned down, and are now outraged that your own beloved icons are at peril. Quite frankly, I don't have an ounce of sympathy for your fallen heroes. I'm glad that the turmoil in America has come to your British doorstep.

Racially decisive? Have you heard some of the racially vitriolic statements from the BLM? Or are you one of those apologists who believes that only white people can be bigoted? And that somehow, magically, racial bigotry is the anecdote to racial bigotry? If that's what you believe it's not just the Republicans in America you have to fear, it's all the libertarians and all of what used to be "classical liberals." They are ALSO against your PC authoritarian ethos. Trump is the last person you woke leftists need to worry about.

The desperate Trump campaign would have let homeless people in to fill the seats, if they could have found anyone interested in attending. It is a new time, a new era, and Trump has made himself into a relic, with his tone deaf statements, his poor strategies, his epic failures (first Maria, then Covid, and now Floyd) and his increasingly unhinged nature. His supporters seem to finally be dropping off, and it is happening just in time. He and his people have been playing so many games, and engaging in such massive deception, that it is about time his opponents wised up, and turned the tables. Kudos to them. Lets see more of it! And the bad news keeps piling on. Now Bolton with some very damaging information about his gross incompetence. And then his niece talking about Trump committing fraud, even against his own family. Is there no end to the deception? Wow. Bye bye Don.

Homeless people to fill in the seats. That's rich. I don't see the Republicans arguing that illegal aliens and felons should have the right to vote, nor arguing that 16 year olds should have the right to vote. Democrats will get votes even if they are not from actual citizens of this country. Surely this post is a joke? There is literally no abyss a Democrat won't stoop to get a vote. Even and including pandering votes from people who aren't even actual citizens of the very country whose politician they are voting for. How much worse can it get?

Let's not forget that millions of his supporters could have gone there without tickets. They could have lined the streets and assembled outside the hall. That obviously didn't happen.

It seems there is a little hope that the number of his supporters goes down - it's about time!

Millions of supporters congregating during a pandemic with the threat of looting and rioting as a cherry on top. It's not the actual turn-out that's embarrassing. It's the Trump touting of the numbers. That being said, if Trump's extended family showed up to his rally, he'd still pull in a bigger crowd than Biden.

It's this sort of empty rhetoric that got Trump elected in the first place. So you should congratulate yourself for 2016. You were instrumental. If history has a habit of repeating itself, keep talking. BTW, I was shocked to learn you're from Cali.

Prove me wrong:  Give examples of the red triangle being used by Antifa in the US.

If the Trump re-election campaign had wanted a symbol associated with Antifa to drum up support in the US, it would have used a symbol associated with Antifa in the US.  Instead they used a symbol associated with the Nazis.  Who are they trying to appeal to?

Call me ignorant, but this is literally the first time I've ever heard of an inverted triangle--or what the F is it?-- being a symbol of the Nazi's. You guys seriously need to find some new material. You do understand, right, that the hand-gesture "A-okay" is now considered a "racist" gesture?

And you were a great fan of slick willy, where he looked straight in the eye, shook his finger at you  at you and said " I never had sex with that lady"  and when he was asked if his statement "there's nothing going on between us " was truthful he replied " It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is."  I guess  I see why you like trump .

How was I a great fan of Slick Willy? You need to lay off the caffeine, my friend. And learn how to read.

NOT a big fan of Bill Clinton. Even so, I did not support the Republican partisan impeachment of him.
