I went yesterday to Chabad house after reading this topic. The food is good and only at fraction of cost at Jerusalem Falafel. The people are nice, but waitress mistook about quantity of order, so it's better to check. There are no private table, but 3 long lines of tables.

Tell me how to make it cheaper or the best way.
We have no bicycles right now, but want to ride around the town. I was thinking about some company, but they charge at least 1400 baht for out of the town trip.
I also found out that there is CM bicycling group, as well as hiking one. But didn't get in touch yet.

Will you deliver on 31st of December?

These beans are long and heavy.
Each one weighs about 700 gramm. But being green they clearly uneatable. Now they turned a bit black and have pink bean seeds inside.
This pink cover is stinky, but white thing inside is ok, rather sweet.
Do you know how this sort of beans called?
Do you by any chance know how to cook them?
Thank you for any advice.

Count me + 1, please.

The Peak is in Night Bazaar area. The felafel place you can see from the main street, if you face the big THE PEAK sign.
-
Did there not used to be a falafel place on Loi Kroh, near the night bazaar?
I know felafel place in The Peak. It's open cafe, prices are better.

You can buy string and all the small stuff either at Airport Plaza or at Wararot market.

yes, it must be Free Palestine. Whatever country it was, why shouting?
It is OVERPRICED, indeed.

We've been to this place and this woman is rude, that's true. I don't want to come back. The friend of mine happened to come to this place wearing "Free Israel" t-shirt, and the owner shouted at her. Nancy Chandler says good words about this place in her map, but it's better to move out of all maps in CM.

I hope so. I saw way too many dogs treated badly and dying in temples. And what Thai people tend to do bringing animals there is really irresposible.

I'm sure i've heard of a place or company in chiang mai that takes in homeless dogs and looks after them, and seeks to find homes for them.
Does anyone know of such a place in chiang mai? We have a poor little dog that seems to have arrived into our project from somewhere recently. He has taken to sleeping in our garden, but we're not able to adopt it, and clearing up its shit every day is not what i'd really like to be doing. I know i can better dog-proof our gate, but it would be nice to solve the problem by finding him a home.
The best thing you can do is to find some mercy in your heart and take care of the dog yourself. I don't mean adopting it, but you can feed and treat her if nessesary, and try to find a new owner yourself, everywhere. I believe it's what every person should do when sees animal in trouble.
It could be difficult and you should be really responsible. Giving a pet to somebody another like shelter isn't responsibility.
Shelters are overwhelmed with pets suffered in road accidents and left, and so on. They have their own problems. They can be kind, too, and take care of that dog, but do try to help this little one yourself.
Moreover, if you find idea about finding a new home for him nice...
Good luck!

I moved from Pattaya to Chiang Mai recently. It's much better here!
But air is dirtier, I believe. Especially Huad Kaew road during traffic light stops I hardly cannot breathe there and sometimes get headache.

I cook Thai and Russian food, usually 2 times a day, but vegetables and fruits at local market, and some other products at Kasem's and Rimping supermarket.
I'm not sure about bringing something to the party, it's cool idea, but don't know how you like veg.food. I'm still not sure I should come over with all that BBQs and other stuff.

I searched in Careffour already, it was the first place I though of...

ТОТ sucks! We waited them to come to install ADSL for 20 days, and this time was the fastest (before 3 months and 1). We have had problems with connections so many times... they are able to do nothing with it for two weeks even if you go their office every day. Once we had troubles for whole month - every day we had to call them and ask to reload the line (or something like that, I'm not sure), because they constantly shut it down.
They never cut the payment though. Even if you have ADSL 1 week of the month.

Thank you, Steve.
Need, because promised as a gift...
Will check in Rimping S-t...

Where can I buy one in Chiang Mai? Or better buy two - separate for cheese and chocolate?
Did you see fondue sets anywhere in Chiang Mai?

Bill, yes, it's so funny that you wrote.
I was in Phuket two years ago specially to see Vegetarian Festival. There were lot of parades/processions/demonstrations with mediums - does it make sence for you and sounds understandable? For food I don't care because here in Chiang Mai there is no shortage of vegetarian food. What I'm interested is if here any special festival activities except for giving jay food. Maybe, someone knows it.

spelling is wrong, but I think you can get it if you try not to be sarcastic for a second.
I know it's big in Phuket, thanks.
Female mediums as well.
You're so hard to talk to! Seems you want to joke only.

Yes, of course it is celebrated in Chiang Mai. Many stalls around the city, parads for several days and not just mediums but small, large and extra large too. Definitely bigger than Pattaya because we are much closer to China after all. I really enjoy tha parads and they are nice to let all vegies participate, no discrimination.
by mediums I meant the guys obsessed by spirits
-
And if they do celebrate, are here any parads, mediums?
Or only vegetarian stalls around the city?
In Pattaya last year was some celebtration in small Chinese community, and here it's bigger, I guess.
