No wonder you have problems with dogs, being  insecure and violence is the only tool you know.

This is how it is, and not unlikely any other previously developing country included Usa today!

I don't have a problem with dogs, sounds like you are  projecting how ineffective you personally would be in a dangerous situation.  Of course your solution is to do nothing and pray for the best -- you're powerless to do anything anyway.

You might have a problem with dogs -- if you're an old, meek, little weakling. I'm young, tall, and strong and could literally crush the life out of a typical mangy soi dog.  They're skinny. My hands could wrap around their midsection entirely.

They don't bother me except for barking. They don't approach me. A pack of 8 getting an idea of harassing me can get a broken bottle to the throat the moment they get close to me with hostile intent.

Not everyone is a crusty hippie baby boomer with a peace, love, and passiveness way of life, maaaannnnnn ????

Will this be met with reluctance or pushback from immigration? The visa extension service is lucrative, and I'm concerned that this might not be well-received. Additionally, it's a significant amount of money for the government to lose in terms of visa extension fees.

If tourists are staying another 30 days, I'm sure the 1900 baht will more than be made up for. It just won't go straight into the pockets of the polic.... I mean "immigration"

seems to be in vogue with a few prolific posters. Manners maketh the man so I guess a great degree of immaturity and social inadequacy in real life. I blame school holidays.

You have it completely backwards, big boy.

See, I don't need a scooter to move around, and if you do, to me that's more indictive of immaturity since you can't even do the most basic human thing right - not over eating like a pig, and getting exercise. That's way more immature - having zero self control like a toddler.

Seems to me the 350lb slob who needs a scooter to get around is vastly more immature than the person criticizing them, but hey what do I know, I'm just an able bodied man with a healthy weight who doesn't need wheels to travel down a sidewalk ????????‍♂️

I don't have to as we both know they do not exist and you are doing nothing but dribbling <deleted>.

I know some free streaming sites with new release movies, even some good old “camera held up to cinema screen” releases, which are surprisingly watchable now, because phone cameras are pretty good.

probably can’t link it here though, PM me if you want to know. You just have to deal with some popups so use ad blocker.

No, your post is the saddest of posts

Not even close. If you plan around seeing a movie with a paltry discount in mind, and ONLY go to a cinema if you can save what amounts to Pennies on the dollar, you are a loser sorry. Penny pinching cheap Charlie who doesn’t need to be here, go back to your home and get more savings.

  5. This has to be one of the most unintentionally sad posts I’ve seen. Talk about Cheapest Charlie of all Cheap Charlies You only care to see a cinema if there’s like a $2 discount? Why not just go to the movie regardless of how much of a discount there is? Seems to me if you want to see a movie, paying an extra $1.70 wouldn’t be a deterrent for most people.

is 200 baht instead of 120 baht going to break the bank? Honestly that is such a small amount of money it isn’t even worth planning a day around, nor asking on a forum when and where I can get that sweet $2.06 cents discount

    What a strange post

  6. Or you could just lose weight? And I know that there is going to be a “I’m not overweight it’s for real mobility problems”

No it’s not, because if you actually had those problems you would already have a scooter or wheelchair. You would have provided your own as without it, you can’t move around. Funny how the mobility problems only manifest when it’s outside and hot in a foreign country!

Put down the beer and fish and chips and you wouldn’t need a “mobility scooter” to walk around which takes zero effort for the normal man…

Pretty much the same for us Brit males.

Isn't Henry Cavill English? Probably more to do with being attractive or not. Lots of ethnic and foreign women think Brits and Europeans are the best farrangs.

As long as they finally start wearing deodorant and don't smell like a woodpile of anal glands I don't really care.  Hell, I totally approve of their cheapness. Anyone who minimizes the greedy bar owners' profits is ok in my book.

    Lmao

Spot on. Especially the last part, those owners' routinely tack-on things to the farrangs' bill when they're nice and drunk, and then gaslight them into thinking they ordered it or don't remember ordering it because they're drunk.

  9. I am fairly certain that Indians have to be the most hated people in the world, specifically Indian males. There's countless memes about them harassing women, pooping in the streets, trying to haggle at corporate chain retailers, and more. I haven't met any Thai girl, or woman in the west, who thinks positively of Indian guys.

India has a rich and cultural history and the food is fantastic. More people shouldn't hate them, but it seems like Nobody likes Indians. Pretty sure not even their own women like Indian guys, which must be why the arranged marriage thing still persists to this day. The women there can't get away from their men fast enough..

I am not a multimillionaire, but I have been living in Thailand for 10 using some of the tools I mentioned, spending my 30's and 40's working for myself 2 hours a day and living the dream. If you are younger than me and do not have a single clue how to use the tools available to you which require literally 0 skills than there is something wrong with you. Instead you bash the boomers because they supposedly had it so easy, but in reality you have not a single clue what the real work is just like like you have no single clue about Thailand calling office workers "hiso" because they work in nice shiny buildings.

I guess I am married to a hiso as she makes more money than the beggarly office workers you meet on your way to Nana. I never knew.

Probably spent the last 4 years on Nana barstool.

Is your mama's trust fund running out of money?

    LOL

Again, if these things you mentioned require "zero skills", why aren't you rich and famous then lol? According to you just go on TikTok and YouTube, absolutely no effort at all required to make money there. So why aren't you rich from those then? Oh right because you're just speaking more nonsense.

So much seething lol "probably spent the last 4 years on Nana barstools" looks like I struck a nerve, projecting much?

You're like 50 years old and making schoolyard hail-mary cheap shots (which are most certainly you just projecting)

And then like an insecure weirdo, mention your personal life like some kind of credentials. Nobody asked and nobody cares. Getting your feelings involved from seeing words on a screen, Toddler behavior. Wouldn't expect less from a guy who's best option in life was to become a Sexpat in Thailand ????

    Gen X here.

    You are whining and complaining.

There has literally never been easier time in human history to make money by literally sitting and doing nothing. Tiktok, youtube, instagram, amazon, ebay, shoppee, shopify, crypto, onlyfans.....

Aren't you the one who claims office workers in Thailand are hiso? ????????

That's your argument? "gO on TiKtOk iTs NevEr BeEn EaSiEr ????" so why aren't you a millionaire then? Too bad there is not a demand for  crusty Gen X'ers to talk about things they have no idea about, otherwise you'd have that entire market cordoned off.

Also, I see that you're still upset that you got demonstrably proven wrong about the hi-so office thing.???? Do you think only famous celebrities and rich politicians are hiso? So what then is an executive at CP earning 7 figure (USD, not baht)? Low society?

Still So butthurt about being corrected about the hi-so thing, lol. Clown. ????

    Fascinating

Never ceases to amaze me that with Westerners there is a strong response to those who don't want to give charity and bickering quickly ensues, similar to the recent tipping discussion.

Why are there so many high-horse riding, do-gooder, virtue signalling, white knights in the West - who also love shaming others for not parting with coin unnecessarily?

Something tells me they would turn their noses up to a falang begging on the streets though

Brow beaten since birth I'm sure.

Just to be clear, I have and do give money to beggars occasionally, like I would say most people do. I don't think there's many people who NEVER give money to a beggar. It just has to strike me with the right combination of factors including mood, if I even have cash on me (I use apple pay for almost everything if possible), and my assessment of the severity of their situation.

In another post a couple months ago or so, I mentioned a guy with a little street side shop selling meager Muay Thai stuff, I have and do give to him often. I slipped him 100 baht and bought him a Leo big bottle for him, and he's extremely grateful for it.

My post was more to do with the beggars targeting me specifically even in a crowd, and being accosted for money no less than three times in what couldn't have been more than five minutes.

Plus, If you give to one beggar, the other beggars will probably see it and then feel entitled to some of your money too. Might even get abusive too, if you don't give some.

And to correct one point, my Thai son and his wife regularly give to beggars and often buy food in plastic bags to give to beggers.

Also to give to 2 little girls always selling flower garlands at a big intersection not far from our house.

    That's sweet of them.

I'm willing to wager money that they (beggars) wouldn't do the same for you if the roles were reversed.

The truth, Usa goverment have sold out the west, and are responsible together with the rest of the west for what is coming now!

That I can agree with, but again, it is mostly Baby Boomer politicians who feel entitled to ALL the money in the world. Having most of the money in the world wasn't enough, it has to be all of it.
